The Newcastle United Transfer Thread: D-Day [Spoiler: Not Much Happens]
biggs replied to LooneyToonArmy's topic in Football
Here is some more horse s*** to mull over Exclusive: Mike Ashley wants Veloso at Newcastle Exclusive: Mike Ashley wants Veloso at Newcastle EA Sports Mike Ashley's surprise visit to the Newcastle United training ground was not a fluke or a course of nature, rather, the billionaire was at the ground to oversee the transfer activity of the club, and to assure Joe Kinnear that he would back the manager with finances provided they were for the 'right players.' Ashley spent three odd hours discussing the future of Shay Given at the club's facilities yesterday, and also made a surprising decision to pursue Portuguese hotshot Miguel Veloso. The move was meant to entice Given to stay, as Ashley tried to assert that he had not given up on United and would invest in players like Veloso who could take the club forward. A club source revealed today that the 22-year-old is a player Ashley wants to see at St. James' Park, and has sanctioned £10 million to go ahead with the transfer. [glow=red,2,300]The source said exclusive to Vital Newcastle United: 'The owner was personally here, and he was serious about making progress in the transfer market. There was a real buzz around the place, and Veloso was the topic of discussion.'[/glow] Bolton Wanderers, and Manchester City have been linked with Veloso, but Newcastle United have now made their move for the midfield maestro. Vital Newcastle United revealed yesterday of Newcastle's overtures to sign the player, and it has emerged today that he is player who Ashley sees fit enough to build a side around. Sport.co.uk revealed earlier that Veloso's agent had confirmed to the site that his client was the subject of a bid from the Toon. Sporting Lisbon, Veloso's current club want £12 million for the Portuguese International, but Derek Llambias - the Magpies' Managing Director hopes to tie up the deal for about £10 million. Particulary like the bit ive highlighted -
Thats why he fucked off to Brazil i guess

Tbh that part does not ring true for the managers who have not worked out here we can name a few but the problem is we have had a chairman with good intentions but bloody awful judgement that has left us in this state and fat fred and Ashley both fall in to this catagory -
For us? There's no comparison who was better for us though. No comparison at all. And if you are referring to their spells in charge of us, then I really don't know what to say. I think you will find there is. It makes me laugh people still view Kevin Keegan as some kind of untouchable figure who only ever did anything for our football club. Particularly after his disastrous second spell and his disgusting lack of loyalty in walking out on those who actually love the club. Kevin Keegan isn't a Geordie he won't ever be and he doesn't actually love our Club despite what people may like to think. KK was always the king of spin and you believed what he said but this mess he left us in has sickened me and to compare him to sir bobby is a no brainer for me ,both different and towards the end sir bobby bless him imho couldnt handle the brats anymore but he loves us with a passion that will never die where as KK says what he wants us to believe we want to hear .

Willie carson ? thank fuck there is no standing anymore seriously i wont diss her as she obviously hurts like we do but my love will never die .

Kuwaiti billionaires line up £500m bid for Liverpool
biggs replied to Fenham Mag's topic in Football
We would be a much better bet imagine building a team from nowt and taking Can you give us any reason why they wont be any better than Ashley ,The Al-Kharafi family wealth estimated at 9.6 billion dollars seems like a no brainer to me bonny lad . Nice and patronising, cheers. I can't really give a reason, no, other than I don't know anything about them or what their plans for the club would be. At the moment it seems like people would sell the club to Mugabe Holdings Ltd if it meant Ashley would leave. Sorry to sound patronising but a megasuperich arab to a penny pinching english chancer i know who i want to own us. -

For all you Kinnear fans out there you should be ashamed of this fucker being connected to our club .
-
No disrespect dear boy but the ramblings since the day he arrived here should be enough for you to realize the man is a complete dick but do you think otherwise than if thats the case write what you know about football and there will still be room on the back of a stamp You missed my point entirely, do you not agree he is doing his best? I didnt even bring up the football we are playing but acknowledging his effort, idiot. Yes he maybe doing his best but it simply is not good enough for us ,so are you saying he is the right man to take us forward then I didn't say that no, you didnt really read my first post did ya? IF he is appointed it would be because of the inept management above him, he is doing nothing wrong by accepting what's in front of him. It shouldn't incense more hatred towards the guy, he is only doing his best after all. I see where you are coming from and sorry for my earlier comment nothing personal but i have a gut feeling that if Kinnear gets a longer contract we will end up in a football wilderness and a laughing stock to boot with this prick as boss ,the man is a embarrassment and do not wish him to be associated with our club after this season is over and frankly many agree .

You my son are a **** who knows fuck all and should not be allowed near a keyboard if you are going to type that sort of shit
