Oh dear hope they can sort out a survival package but imho its a slippery slope and they will be the first of many come close season and ticket renewels and no money getting filtered down to the lower divisions while the premiership gets richer the lower clubs will die.

    Peter Beardsley

If you get a chance to see his goals and general play you will probably say fuck me "we had a player like that playing for us" ,then you look at Shola and say fuck me is that the level we are at now :'(

    Peter Beardsley

I say we need a player like him now tbh but getting a player a fraction of his talent will be very difficult unless we find a gem somewhere .
  7. In general, I thought it went well, although I was a bit disappointed about that particular banner, which is not an NUSC one. Why did NUSC allow it to be there then? Free country
  8. What i cannot understand is why didnt all the main players who run the Fanzines and forums who have the backing of the majority of fans not get together and have a planned group instead of a bunch of ignorant, tunnel visioned bunch of goons.

Good game today but didnt have imho a player running at him with any effect .
  10. I agree no idea in midfield how to play the ball forward to our forwards .
  11. TBh if the guys pissed we can laugh but imho he seems not to be the sharpest tool in the box and you shouldnt mock him .
  12. FFS thought we had branched out into porno and signed an actress :-[
  13. They'd probably buy a £60,000 "Ashley Out" banner. Yes and probably spell it wrong
  14. They've also been citing 6,000 people who've expressed an interest in joining. This is entirely disingenuous, as it includes people like me who clicked a button to find out what the deal was, and then decided they wanted nothing to do with it. Naturally, the fact that they're using me in statistics angled to ramp up their supposed legitimacy as a representative organisation does little to alleviate my feeling that they're a bunch of wankers. What gets me is what if they had 6,000 members @ £10 a shot = £60,000 .they would have all that cash and wtf would they do with it ,answers on a postcard .

  17. My concern is finding a manager who buys into the Wise scenario and and Ashleys glorious five year plan.
  18. Got this off there website and imho they just dont seem very competent and as well organized as i thought they would be and i will highlight the part i found most interesting and why have they not explained why there is a joining fee as in my mind thats just as bad as the current boards communication breakdown . Response to Derek Llambias interview The NUSC has read and digested with interest the comments made by Derek Llambias in today’s Evening Chronicle. In the interests of clarity we would like to address his comments regarding the NUSC and its relationship with the club. “We're in dialogue with them. We have a monthly meeting and we need to get the record straight – we are in dialogue with NUSC” NUSC has on several occasions now written directly to key figures at the club, including Derek Llambias requesting a formal meeting with the club hierarchy and urging them to communicate with their paying customers. Every single one has been ignored barring a brief acknowledgement by the club’s press officer that they had been received. There has been no dialogue between NUSC and anyone in any position of authority at NUFC. “We have a monthly supporter meeting where a reasonably representative group of people who represent our fans tell us what for. They have been invited to be part of that forum so there are four or five of them coming along. It’s not true that we have blanked them” As one of our committee members is also a member of this group, NUSC, in its continued attempts to achieve dialogue with the club, politely enquired if it could send a small representation to join their most recent meeting. This was an attempt to address independent supporter concerns that had been raised with us, i.e. problems with stewarding in the Leazes corner. To clarify NUSC invited itself to this meeting to address concerns other than those stemming from the running of the club. As a result of this positive dialogue it was agreed that a select number of NUSC representatives could attend these meetings in the future. “Their initial approach was not in the correct tone. They are a small group and they are charging a subscription fee which was a bit strange to us” We're slightly unsure of what tone Mr Llambias expected fans to take given the utter destruction his administration wrought upon this club in the early season. However we must state that our approach in writing to the club directly and in attempting direct communication has always been professional and organised. [glow=red,2,300]As for his comment that he finds it strange that we charge a “subscription fee”. Is this coming from the same club that introduced a “membership” scheme that provides little more benefits than being a season ticket holder used to?[/glow] "They are a small group and given more credence than they deserve" The NUSC are a professionally organised and structured supporters group with a daily growing membership of die hard Newcastle United fans. Every single Newcastle fan deserves credence on their own. The NUSC are a credible collective voice for its members. “They are welcome to come along to our forums. That’s fine, they are coming on February 12 and there will be four or five of them”. This indeed appeared to be “a fact”. However within an hour of the interview going to print the club had emailed us to tell us that Derek was now unable to make the meeting and that as a result the meeting was "postponed". We hope that Derek can find the time to honour his comments soon. “We don’t want to talk about Kevin Keegan, which is an issue they will insist on talking about. Unfortunately, that’s not what the tone is.” Unfortunately this statement, above all, demonstrates how out of touch Derek Llambias and the entire Mike Ashley regime are with what it is fans are asking for. Kevin Keegan, although forever a legend at this club, is past history. Our rather more pressing concern is to establish how Mike Ashley intends to “drive the club forward” and reinforce how the fans of NUFC can and need to be a significant part of it, going forward. These (and others) are the serious questions we would like answers to, Mr Llambias. We look forward to hearing them from you in person whenever your schedule allows. We hope "the tone" of this response meets with your acceptance.
  19. get well soon, joey! But tbh i hope this means you will take care of your self and not us! leave the job asap.....you are not our long term manager....Ashley should move for our new manager! Bloody hell didnt see that coming if true, hope everything will go ok for him but not to come back long term to us.
  20. This is fantasy imho, i would like to believe it but god no. So the players that arrived in January they are going to be over the moon for the new employers to have lied to them. Ashley when he took the club off the market he had time to appoint a manager before January. He didn't. There are no big benefits of lying to supporters, players, whole nation so you can attract Kevin Nolan and Ryan Taylor. Love it how you made this thread as i wouldn't reply to you in the Q&A and now only reply to my comments. Obsessed little man aren't you? mackems.gif It was brought up a few times on that thread not just that instance. Many people seem to share your opinion, so what you complaining about. The fact you call my opinion 'fantasy' or 'Delusional'. Just accept i have a view, it doesn't match yours and there's no point trying to get a rise out of me by being a tit about it. You have an opinion sure i don't get how you can be 99% sure of it or as 'good as certain' that is all. Required some explaining to be honest. I would like to believe it but don't buy into elaborate conspiracy theories. I think i've got a solid opinion about this board, most of which cannot be proved until it happens. But like the summers fiasco, i called it months before happening. Again just a hunch from what i've seen, but think this is what is happening - no proof, no one has any either way, just opinions. I respect others not having the same, it bothers me not, i have my own, some will agree, some won't, but i had all this bullshit aimed at me in the summer when i was telling people something was wrong, and that it wasn't smoke without a fire over Ashley/Wise/keegan and transfers, and got called worse than s*** about it. A Side issues but: I also believe when it comes to court, KK will come out looking like a dick - again it cannot be proved until it happens. KK is nowhere near as smart as he thinks, and these bastards legally are classes above him and do their business lacking emotion, KK cannot do that, impossible for him too, and when it all comes out, he'll not just lose financially, im worried for him how much face he loses from it as well. These statements back it up, they won't talk about it, they don't have to curry favour, they don't need too, KK either totally lost it fistycuffs stylee or he knew of the DOF appointment; it was written in his contract and hasn't a leg to stand on. Back to JFK, i'm 99% cert he's gone, before his health problem around 70% this was the case, but even if its not, he's gone on these grounds and any potential contract (im am wrong) will be retracted by now. Agree Toon taylor it would be madness imho to give Joke Inhere a contract on the grounds of health but aside from that it is his general lack of tact with the media and how he portrays himself which must concern the people above him and how we look from the outside.
  21. I dont in anyway wish ill health on the guy but in the short and long term it cannot be in his best interests with a medical condition like he has to return to us , Joe keen on quick return Feb 9 2009 by Mark Douglas, The Journal JOE Kinnear is determined to brush off his weekend health scare and return to leading Newcastle United’s fight for Premier League survival. Kinnear spent the weekend in Good Hope hospital in Sutton Coldfield after falling ill at United’s Belfry training base on Saturday morning, reporting symptoms of pins and needles in his side and high blood pressure. With his history of heart problems, Kinnear was admitted to hospital immediately and was due to be released today after being kept under observation for a couple of nights in the West Midlands. The Newcastle boss was comfortable in hospital last night and already indicating that he intends to resume his frontline duties after a period of recuperation – although there will be consultations with doctors before a final decision is made. It remains to be seen what the advice of medical professionals will be to United’s 62-year-old boss, and both the club and Kinnear will be will duty bound to listen to any definitive advice given to them. But first-team coach Chris Hughton, who oversaw the team’s crucial 3-2 victory over West Brom on Saturday, says that Kinnear has already indicated his desire to return to work as soon as possible. “Joe is in very good spirits, he was on good form and sort of dismissing it all really. He couldn’t really see what the fuss is about and his thinking is very much looking forward to getting back to work as soon as possible,” he said. “It was typical of Joe when we went to see him – all he was interested in was how the team had done and the way he was talking he is determined to be back. He is the type of person who will dismiss things like this; his main priority was the result, which he was delighted with. “We’ll know the exact situation later in the week I’m sure, he was due to be released today and any decisions will be made by Joe and the doctors. “That’s for them to make the ultimate decision.” Hughton will take control of first-team duties along with fellow coach Colin Calderwood if Kinnear is forced into any prolonged absence from his managerial duties. United would look to appoint another manager if health concerns made it impossible for Kinnear to return but at the moment that eventuality appears far from the minds of Mike Ashley and Derek Llambias, who visited their ailing manager on Saturday night after watching the team win at the Hawthorns. “I think Joe was particularly happy with the three points at West Brom, as we all were,” Hughton added. “We are all aware of the games that we have to play, and we’ve got some difficult teams to play in the next few weeks, so this was a game we really had to win. “Looking at the results of the teams around us, this gives us a huge opportunity to build and get away from the relegation zone. It was hugely important – we all knew that.” The news on Kinnear’s condition appears to suggest that it is not a serious problem. A club spokesman said: “He underwent a series of tests during the day and the subsequent results have shown he is okay. “As a precaution, Joe will remain in hospital for observation for a couple of days and will then be discharged.” Skipper Nicky Butt admitted it was good to give Kinnear a lift with the victory – and dismissed talk that the manager’s illness might have taken away from their focus ahead of a game of huge importance. “Not really, no. We were focused on a massive task, which was to get three points, anyway,” the midfielder said. “I think he’s just been taken for tests and the like. It’s nice to win it and give him a bit of lift. “But it wasn’t a case if added motivation because we were really focused on the game anyway.”
  22. In addition, Farrington is one of the better writers out there. If he wrote a piece about Martins wanting to leave, we would be seeing posts like 'who believes this tabloid bullshit, especially a Sunday rag'. I would take more notice from a local paper than a national though, i would not believe it to be true but he will have more contacts at the toon .
