  1. Tell you what... Mane is some player.
  2. He also said that we wouldn't have gone down under Bruce. I'm not sure if he has an inside line at the club but I suspect not. That said, I reckon we do like Paqueta but we won't be paying more than we did for Bruno and I suspect Lyon will want more.
  3. You can forget us signing two strikers, it will be 1. New striker 2. Wilson 3. Wood.

  5. If you haven't watched Eddie's latest presser, I'd suggest you go and watch it and remind yourself of the shite we used to have to deal with in comparison. Today he touched on Nutrition, Sleep science, the need to continue expanding his coaching team to continuously stay ahead of the game, he wouldn't get drawn into transfer targets or points targets or look at reflecting on the season. He even had a laugh and a joke with journalists, praised an opposition manager and was humble whilst talking about the great SBR. He even suggested that the fans are having a positive effect on the team. A masterclass on how to represent your club, as opposed to how to disgrace your club.
  6. I was lying in bed last night, thinking happy thoughts after our win on Sunday and going through players who we could sign... funny enough my mind kept on returning to Ivan Toney. It's not because he's a good player but it's because I think he fits where we are at the moment, in terms of players we are able to attract and players who fit the current blueprint. Ivan Toney has been excellent in both our games against Brentford this year (came off the bench and turned the tide somewhat in the away game). Hes an absolute beast of a striker. Strong, quick, smart, grafts his arse off. He would be like having a nice blend of Wilson and Wood. Think the 40/45m mark would be about right for him and with that, too much for Brentford for turn down, as they could use that money to consolidate themselves in the PL. As for his personality, I was listening to Mark Chapman (I think), who was saying that he's actually a really nice guy and his family are all sound. I think he's possibility more of a nugget, with regards to the daft things he's been saying, than a person with a bad attitude. I agree that Abraham is the other obvious choice but Roma will drive a harder bargain than Brentford. I can see us having a passing interest in DCL but hopefully his injury record will see us look a different direction. I'm all in on Toney. Would be a cracking signing.
  7. Palace are a decent side, I just hope they have run out of a bit of steam with their cup exit. Not exactly where you want to go 3 days after your season has effectively ended.
  8. Cheers mate. Flamingo land too so plenty to do with the family. He's U9s, top goalscorer in his team. Sweet left peg. We are with R&T tours. Have a celebrity guest. Fingers are crossed for KK.
  9. Out of interest what company is this? My lad has a similar tournament on the next bank holiday.
  10. I think it's particularly exciting that Barton has used him in multiple positions. Gives him a great opportunity to get game time with us.

    Dan Burn

He's very good at hustling a striker off the ball.
  12. It's a good question. I swear I've seen it in the past. He's homegrown, does that count for anything? Either way, I'm super excited for this lads future. He looks an absolute star.
  13. Ah I hadn't seen they are likely for play offs.
  14. Could we potentially see him for the last couple of games?
  15. Get him back, get him playing with Bruno.
  16. Something in Portuguese to our Brazilian boys would be ace.
  17. We have showed we are probably closer to Wolves and Leicester than we are to Everton and Leeds. We are set up nicely to make some solid additions. Looking forward to the summer.
  18. Its it a Monday night against Arsenal. Could be a cracking atmosphere under the lights.

    Kieran Trippier

If he's fit, Howe won't be able to stop him playing. He will force himself onto the bench, probably at Norwich, before coming in against one of the 3 tougher games we have. Again, it will be a timely boost if we lose to City or Liverpool.
  20. Yeah, time is running out. Perhaps the anniversary of someone's passing would be appropriate. Again, I'd echo what others have said, you guys have done a great job. "Him that got Bournemouth relegated", is still a cracking tongue and cheek idea. ?
  21. We've basically become competitive in every game we play (apart from Spurs) and look as though we could pick up points. Our next step is much harder, we now need to start dominating sides in terms of possession and getting ourselves into solid leads.
  22. @HeronI'd like to re-enter my suggestion of an "In memoriam" banner, whereby we get a set of banners with players who have passed on. Tote, Speed, Pav, SBR and obviously some of the greats from the past. I'd love to see that.

    Matt Targett

Look, I want Targett on a permanent and I think he's class but we can't skip passed the idea that Eddie Howe would make a much better player out of Digne than Gerrard is. Alot of players rise and fall with the quality of coaching around them. Thankfully Targett looks a sure bet whatever the circumstance. He's a perfect signing for where we are at and where we are going.
