I just can't see it happening TBH. It's not that I dont think it will or wont happen, its that I cant see it. I just can't visualise it. I cant imagine the day when I look at my phone and see that a takeover has gone through or that the PL tests are finished. The only nugget of consolation, is that I think MA would have been making a lot of noise if there was a statement. If no progress was being made whatsoever, he would have kicked up a fuss or even pulled put of the deal on the grounds it was hurting his business. Not that he gives a fuck. As in they're waiting to see if they've implemented piracy measures they've recommended, for example. Ah, got you. Well that would be ridiculous in terms of the implications for a football club. Its beyond reasonable for the PL to play politics to that level, whilst ducking about with our future.

Even if we had Rafa and say Spurs squad of players, I wouldnt have expected much from City, results wise. It was the lack of everything resembling a football side that was embarrassing. Apparently Newcastle fans are "split" on Bruce, according to famous gobshite Luke Edwards . I don't think there is any split whatsoever. Most fans agree that a poor manager replaced a good one and that the same poor manager did better than expected because most people expected him to get us relegated. It only gets silly when people like Luke say that he has done an excellent job. He hasnt. He has done a good job, at best, and that's only against the background of expectations, which are very low.

Its beyond, "making it watertight". There is a stalemate. The PL want something and SA havent given them it.

I just dont get the debate, the semantics, the statistics and the arguement. Bruce is, and always has been, an average manager. Upper end championship, lower end premiership, much like Neil Warnock or whatever. I suspect Bruce knows very little about tactics, setting up suitable conditions to have a winning mentality or the aptitude for having the players in peak physical condition. He might have a few decent coaches alongside him, who could help him mind. On the other hand, Bruce does a have a wealth of experience in the game, including winning trophies as a player. I'm also of the impression that most of the players who he has, actually quite like him as a bloke, which means they will at least try and play for him. His limited knowledge of tactics will, on occasion, see the side have peaks in form. My theory is that players often react well to basic footballing philosophy. 4 at the back, work hard, try and score more than opposition, that sort of stuff. Thick players like Shelvey, Richie and Lascelles will lap that shit up. Sadly however, unlike our previous manager this approach will only ever see us mid-table, because its basic and simple. So while you argue the semantics of Rafa last season or Bruce this season, remember this; Rafa was unhappy with last season and wanted to take the side and club to the next level. Bruce, on the other hand, will be drinking champagne and dancing with the owner in the boardroom at his apparent "success". I want more, so did Rafa, Bruce thinks we are fine where we are.
