Hope so.

Jonas? Marveaux? Both left footed players. I dont think ive actually ever seen Raylor have a good game. Would have made sense to keep Routledge for a bit of balance and depth for the sake of a few million which wont be reinvested into the playing team. Jonas left footed? Both can play on either wing. After that they have Ferguson, who could do a job.

Good to get him off our books, didn't he make comments on twitter recently, plus the incoming money might prompt the club to bring someone in.
-
Oh the club will take that gamble. 31st of august i'm telling you, Enrique will be gone.
-
End of August and Liverpool will make a move and we will end up with no left back, this is my biggest fear for the season. It will happen, i can see it from a mile away.l
-
Hearing a city fan saying "i think he will be half decent" fills me with anger. Signed apparently.
-
Although we know our club are not looking in that direction in the slightest.
-
My guess... Ranger.
-
Was going to suggest him a while back, a very steady defender, plenty of experiance.
-
People were happy to have N'Zogbia back who by all accounts was more disruptive than what Bassong was, 4m for Bassong who can play in two positions would be excellent business. In fact you would have to be mad not to get him, still don't believe we will though.

It seems half of the media believe Erdinc wants to stay in Paris and the other half believes Newcastle are still confident of getting him. Anyone else just think they know nothing?
-
It's not so much the talent aspect it's the ability to sniff out a bargain, Carr must have some connections in Europe to have such a vast knowledge of players situtations. Although i suspect it merely means he knows alot of agents, who will be happy to tout their players. To have picked up Ben Arfa, Tiote and Cabaye for the fees we have is pretty special. Although i do agree with the sentiment that he can't get them all right. It does seem as though the club is absolutely sure about Erdinc, that's why i hope we can get him.

He was shit a month ago but he's mint now.

Wouldn't listen to that tedious shite. As far as french transfers are concerned, our journos seem to know fuck all. From now on i will be listening to the french press only on this one. For the record, i think we will sign him on a five year deal after more shite about delay's etc coming out of the press over here. There just looking for a story and more importantly someone to read it, that's why they all have twitter accounts. Very rarely do these twats have the "inside track".

Turned down McLeish before but i think Villa are certainly more attractive than Birmingham. He will join them but like i said i'm just glad he's not going to Spurs, Liverpool or dare i say..... the scum. To think Dogleash paid double that for Downing, what a tit.
-
I think Villa are going to be shit anyway. McLeish will be terrible.
-
It's like no matter what happens to our club, we will always take the piss out of them. Seeing none of their fans returning to their seats at half time did it for me, we would never do that... NEVER.
-
The guy is an embarrasment, but i know there is nothing i can do about it, which hurts the most. He really doesn't give a fuck what we want.
-
Not sure we will have time on the last day of the window.
-
Statement from the club coming apparently tonight.
-
No need to unsettle the new players, and give the papers something to talk about in the mean time. Must be something in particular that's prompted this outburst like, whether it's a bid coming in, tapping up, an injury or whatever. Aye, it was always coming, just needed a trigger. My theory... the club are holding out until the very end of the window to sell him and he's frustrated by it and of course we won't replace him.

Nail on head as far as i'm concerned Otter.

Don't think it's disrespectful in the slightest to the new signings IMO. His dig is aimed at the board/management for essentially lying about the level of investment they were prepared to make with the Andy Carroll money and not having the ambition to even try for a CL place - which is what he and fans want for Newcastle. The signings we have made are good (though not as certifiably brilliant as some on here purport them to be), but we have just lost our two top goalscorers in the season gone by, let's not forget. Our business has been "good" at best, but certainly hasn't matched the potential/resources we could push for. He is, IMO, fully entitled to speak his mind. It's not the middle of the season - he's not being disruptive to team morale at a crucial point of the season, and if he feels the management are lying/twisting his motives for wanting out - why isn't he within his rights to put across his perspective to the fans? You can talk about how "if I did that in my job, I'd get the sack.." all day long, but it's incomparable - a footballer at a Premier League club isn't the same. Don't blame him or Barton. Criticising the club for not being all it could be is no crime. Yeah but i'd get sacked at my workplace, why is he any different? I have no doubt in what he says, it's the fact he's said it while he's still here. Like it or not, the objective reality is that the balance of power between footballers at Enrique's level and his employers, and yours with yours (apologies for being presumptuous!) aren't the same. If you could bend your boss over a barrel when he treated you like shit, lied to you and stopped you from fulfilling your potential - are you telling me, you wouldn't? Probably not TBH. If i was in Enrique's place, i'd hand in a transfer request and leave should the opportunity come. I'd then tell my story after i left and probably blow the whole thing wide open from the outside. If i couldn't get a move i'd leave on a free when my contract ran out and then have a whinge.

It's the lying that winds me up. If we are skint or Ashley doesn't want to spend his own money or he's trying to re-coup some of the money he has lost on the club, then fine so long as they come out and be honest. Instead they scheme, lie and fuck players about for what? Just tell the fucking truth, simple. I'd rather hear the truth, than the shite they peddle on a day to day basis.
