  1. All 4 have reasons to be a little bitter though? One saying it should send alarm bells though, when it gets to four it simply can't be a coincidence. I mean i don't think they are going into the training ground and kicking off with each other or anything like that, but i'd put money on there being a bit of an atmosphere. I don't think even what Barton has said suggests there 'being a bit of an atmosphere'. I can't see anything coincidental in that the 4 players showing disappointment are have had contractual disagreements or are being sold (despite wanting to stay). Look none of us have any evidence, we are all just speculating, so i won't pretend to know more than you but it's just a gut feeling. I just think we have an unhappy camp atm.
  2. Don't kid yourself. There are some seriously pissed off players at our club.
  3. Yep, i want people to remind themselves of this everyday, because it will happen.

  5. I don't think Barton would say that if there wasn't genuine unrest in the camp, added to the fact that Nolan, Enrique and Routledge have suggested or said similar things. This twitter thing must stop though, it's every week.
  6. No we are just not replacing him.
  7. Sorry not directly pointed at you, but the fact that we're not spending vast sums of money keeps coming up. I still find it strange that in every walk of life you look to spend the least amount of money to bring the greatest benefit, except for football. Of course I would love another striker brought in and a decent replacement/backup for Enrique as a minimum, but for some people it appears that would rather we had spent £15m on a striker of Ba's ability and another £15m on a player of Cabaye's ability, and then spent another £10m on a winger like Marveaux. I like the fact that we are looking outside of the UK for signings as they give much better value for money, and the fact we are exploiting clauses like are we is to me, a good thing. Agreed. Some are obsessed with money, caught up in this Hollywood romantic view that in order to sign good players you need to spend vast amounts of money. You are absolutely correct that those who think this way, would have preffered to have signed these players for big fees. They won't admit to it though.
  8. Bollocks, they are avoiding injuries with Enrique. We all know it.
  9. I love the "he can't play on the right" debate, does it affect his end product like?
  10. Brings a tear to my eye every time i think of him. He's in heaven now, coaching their football team, still getting names wrong though.
  11. Jonas? Marveaux? Both left footed players. I dont think ive actually ever seen Raylor have a good game. Would have made sense to keep Routledge for a bit of balance and depth for the sake of a few million which wont be reinvested into the playing team. Jonas left footed? Both can play on either wing. After that they have Ferguson, who could do a job.
  12. Good to get him off our books, didn't he make comments on twitter recently, plus the incoming money might prompt the club to bring someone in.
  13. Oh the club will take that gamble. 31st of august i'm telling you, Enrique will be gone.
  14. End of August and Liverpool will make a move and we will end up with no left back, this is my biggest fear for the season. It will happen, i can see it from a mile away.l

    Other clubs' transfers

Hearing a city fan saying "i think he will be half decent" fills me with anger. Signed apparently.
  16. Although we know our club are not looking in that direction in the slightest.
  17. Was going to suggest him a while back, a very steady defender, plenty of experiance.
  18. People were happy to have N'Zogbia back who by all accounts was more disruptive than what Bassong was, 4m for Bassong who can play in two positions would be excellent business. In fact you would have to be mad not to get him, still don't believe we will though.

    Mevlüt Erdinç

It seems half of the media believe Erdinc wants to stay in Paris and the other half believes Newcastle are still confident of getting him. Anyone else just think they know nothing?

It's not so much the talent aspect it's the ability to sniff out a bargain, Carr must have some connections in Europe to have such a vast knowledge of players situtations. Although i suspect it merely means he knows alot of agents, who will be happy to tout their players. To have picked up Ben Arfa, Tiote and Cabaye for the fees we have is pretty special. Although i do agree with the sentiment that he can't get them all right. It does seem as though the club is absolutely sure about Erdinc, that's why i hope we can get him.

Wouldn't listen to that tedious shite. As far as french transfers are concerned, our journos seem to know fuck all. From now on i will be listening to the french press only on this one. For the record, i think we will sign him on a five year deal after more shite about delay's etc coming out of the press over here. There just looking for a story and more importantly someone to read it, that's why they all have twitter accounts. Very rarely do these twats have the "inside track".
  23. Turned down McLeish before but i think Villa are certainly more attractive than Birmingham. He will join them but like i said i'm just glad he's not going to Spurs, Liverpool or dare i say..... the scum. To think Dogleash paid double that for Downing, what a tit.
