  1. Got to agree with that. If we are going to sign anyone from Barca it should be Gudjohnsen.

    Thierry Henry

Because of his style, would be the hardest person to replace. Would either have to be someone big and strong who can hold up the ball or someone creative and could score form nothing. Doubt we would find both.
  3. Right i'll go with; Liverpool 1-4 Arsenal Adebayor 2, Fabregas, Van Persie, Torres Chelsea 3-0 Fener Lampard 2, Kalou
  4. Newcaslte is voted one of the world's top 10 party cities Out of interest, is that above london? On the same poll London was voted worst city in the world. I love the creators of that poll.
  5. Agreed. That's why we should buy Gudjohnsen, great creativity.

  7. Would be suprised if Chelsea were not in for him but they'd need a bigger attraction than Avram Grant.
  8. The OWEN argument is not bad, still don't believe it for a second. :-) It was funny actually. It was a thread entitled "Why i think we will be in for Owen". I claimed that Real would sell him because that summer they had just signed Robinho and Baptista thus pushing Owen down the pecking order. Then i went on to talk about why the top four wouldn't take him. My finest hour TBH. Only to be eclipsed when Ronny walks through the door My head tells me he will join Inter, Juve or Milan.
  9. At the time nobody else wanted and could afford Owen and he was desperate to move for first team football. That's certainly not the case with Ronaldinho. Then why did people laugh it out of the park? The ability to say why someone would sign for us before it happens is better than the ability to say why after. What is Ronaldinho's case? He's considering Man City? Yes Then why not consider us?
  10. I'm just trying to get them out of the way. Like i said in another thread. Gudjohnsen would be my preferred signing. I do have a gut feeling that KK will be aiming very high this summer.

    Thierry Henry

Keywords: Six years ago But seriously, isn't Henry the type of player who wants to be in a big club playing Champions League matches (Afterall, that's the only trophy he hasn't win) week in and week out? Additionally, would his first-choice not be Arsenal, given the proximity to his home (London) and the familiarity (His previous club). Arsenal's striking department seems to be called into question lately too, would he not be a fantastic (or maybe nostalgic) addition to them as well? Food for thoughts. Regards, Ericz Arsene Wenger would never go back on his word. Once they are gone, they are gone. None of Man Utd, Liverpool or Chelsea would buy him in my eyes but i do believe he would fancy coming to england. The rumour is that he does want to return to this country.
  12. Would be value for money, can't see Barca wanting over 5m for him. Truly gifted player.
  13. Mature as usual, i'm just exploring the possibilities. How about you say "We have no chance of signing Ronaldinho because.......". People once laughed when i created a thread claiming Owen would join us.
  14. So Man City do but we don't...... fuck off.
  15. How old's Gudjohnsen these days? He would be one of the first ones on my list. Could play both striker and midfield.
  16. About time someone made a thread about him. Positives; He seems to be available. He's clearly capable of being one of the best players in the world. He's in his prime. Money should not be an isssue He's considering Man City so surely we are in with a shout. Anyone disaprove of going for him?
  17. Most obvious player we should be siging. Him and Faye centre back.

I actually believe he could be heading here. Not to sure whether i want him though.

    Edgar or Taylor?

The problem is he's playing in a shit team, get 10 quality players to carry him and he won't look as bad. Kind of twisting my words from earlier but i certainly wouldn't recommend this.

    Edgar or Taylor?

He made his debut about 3 months before the end of a season, and played quite a few games. The season straight after that he was a regular starter. I have no idea what time period you're actually talking about. He was playing right back FFS. Hardly a convincing start to his career. My point is that he wasn't anywhere near the player he is now and why's that? Experiance, whilst playing in a good side. Are you saying Taylor lacks experience? Because he's made over 100 competitive starts. Are you saying that Taylor has been poor in most of those games. I would put money on 70 of them being along side Bramble, Boumsong, Hughes, O'Brien. I've seen him play plenty of good performances with them lot.

    Edgar or Taylor?

People always say shit like that. It's a bit like saying Sam Allardyce should have been given time because Fergie took 5 years to win a trophy at Man Utd. I actually agree with a lot of what you said in the previous post but there's one problem with - When people say Taylor is going to this, that or the other - however convincing those arguments / mitigating circumstances put forward are. There always seems to be a common theme. People don't say Taylor has the potential to be this because he's good at X,Y and Z. It's always a catalogue of excuses as to why he hasn't performed. People always say "he has performed". You tell me who was performing well while Taylor wasn't? For me Nicky Butt had be atrocious all season, until just recently. Now people are masturbating over him because we've won a few games. Since we started playing well Taylor has been as good as anyone, argueably better than Faye (bearing in mind that Faye was at fault for our last two goals). So why not see if Taylor can get better with experiance and become a good defender (if not great)? I'm not saying he's a fantastic player at all, nor am i saying he's particularly going to become a great player. What i'm saying is that he has deserved the chance, in a good side.

  23. Thing is, were only going to get 2-3m for Emre. Almost not worth selling for me.

    Edgar or Taylor?

I remember a day when Carragher was an average youngster that couldn't quite get into the Liverpool side or Upson who wasn't good enough to stay at Arsenal. Both would be in the England squad, they have become good players with experiance. I believe Taylor will do the same, certainly no write off.
  25. Hope that goes for Emre and N'Zogbia. If KK can get Barton, Butt and Geremi help us play good/attractive football, he will have no bother with those two. Still think there will be a few gone.
