I don't really know why we are talking about it. We have heard nothing for 4 days so there is nothing to talk about atm.
-
Would be a great signing but i've learned not to get excited too quickly. Hopefully he will be through the door.

In terms of transfers all they said were: We are in for warnock (pedro) Bez didn't know what was happening with Colo just like us (not in a bad way). That they expected us to sign two more (after colo)
-
Went to the Bez- Beardsley crack after the game like. Was good banter.

.com: "Tuesday afternoon brought confirmation that Blackburn Rovers defender Stephen Warnock had handed in a transfer request at Ewood Park. Newcastle have been widely credited with an interest in the 26 year-old former Liverpool left back and it's reported that a bid has now been made by the Magpies." can't remember reading anywhere that we had made a bid after his request.

Setting off soon, have every intention of avoiding the camera's. However, i will be taking my camera along with me. I'll be trigger happy so anything worth posting on here i will. As long as someone is prepared to lend me their e-mail because i can't upload photos for toffee.

I agree, Larsson and Warnock.
-
I too think N'Zogbia is awful at defending. I do not want to see him at left back, even if offers another attacking threat.
-
Personally, i think the club needs another left back. I like Enrique but we can't rely simply on him, what happens if he gets injured? Are we going to play N'Zogbia left back again? Fuck that! Now i understand the sentiment that noone wants to hamper Enrique's devlopment so to speak. However, there's no hiding from the fact that we need another left back. The problem with Warnock is that he is exactly the wrong sort of player to please people. If we signed Ashley Cole, a world class left back at the top of his game (debateable), then people would say "fine we'll have enrique as back up". Likewise people would be content if we were to sign another promising 19 year old who could warm the bench and wait for his first team chance. What's annoying people is that we might be bringing in a 26 year old who, although good, is no better than Enrique yet will jump into the first team, effectively hampering his development. It isn't the worlds biggest problem if we sign Warnock, but i can see the arguement against it.

IMO i believe that both Newcastle and Warnock will force Blackburns hand. Warnock has been reported as wanting to talk to us and we have had a bid rejected already. Now that Ince came out and said that, i believe Warnock has decided enough is enough and handed in a transfer request. Hopefully, we can get a fee sorted out and Warnock will be our player by sunday. 6m is steep, i'd say more like 4m.

Not a fan like? Personally i think he's a good player and a solid signing, if it happens.
-
Source? Breaking news SSN. Literally just happened. Rarely happens unless there is concrete interest from a club (i.e us). Had a feeling our next signing would either be Larsson or Warnock.
-
He will be ours. Handed in a transfer request today.
-
I was thinking of going along but can't help thinking it will be full of children.
-
It's no rumour, he's having a medical there. and no he's not a worthwhile signing for that price. We need to concentrate our efforts/money elsewhere.
-
Almost word for word isn't it?
-
At least we will find out whether it's true in the next couple of weeks.
-
Don't know enough about Mallorca to comment on their players, have heard of Arango though.
-
Could have been mis-read as a midfielder i.e DM. The key to how much truth there is in this will be when Colo steps out onto the pitch. If he starts in midfield i may be tempted to believe it. Obviously we all like the sound of that "big named" player, i'll believe that when i see it too.
-
Bit of an embarrasing post for you really. Guthrie and Jonas have impressed massively and Coloccini is as good a signing as any other has made. We are finding the right players, get over it.
-
Not bad at all, would be interesting to see how Jonas did in that position. I imagine he would pick up alot of free kicks.
-
Having a laugh surely? It makes alot more sense than some of the other teams. At least he's chosen a group of players that may function well on the pitch and not just our best 11 footballers. Two very different things.
-
Surely you should be hoping that Taylor is good enough to peform in that position. I'm guessing you have already given up on that.
-
Because it's a position that isn't restricted to a central role, see Barton playing there last season for an example. I don't think i ever once saw Barton getting to the touch line, which is where Jonas is meant to be most dangerous. The whole point of a 433 midfield is that the 3 make up for the 4. I.e in the defensive sense he would be doing a pretty similar job, tracking back and protecting the full back. However, in the attacking sense we can't afford to have two centre mids playing on the wings because that leaves one in centre. In the premierleague you can't get away with that, even against the likes of Hull. If Jonas is going to be used effectively he is going to have to be played in his position i.e on the wing, in a 442. Otherwise we might as well not have bought him. For the record i liked the formation we ended the season with. They don't just play on the wings though, if you had watched Barton last season he covered both the wide area when attacking and dropped in the middle when we didn't have the ball, his position was of what you would call a left sided midfielder and i don't see any reason why Jonas couldn't do this on the other side where Geremi played, even from watching him over these past few friendlies you can tell he's got much more about him than being a touchline hugging winger, similar to Kieron Dyer. What we need from someone playing in that position is someone that can cover a lot of ground, someone that can drift out wide when needed but also come inside and let the full back over lap, most of all you need someone who looks comfortable in possession and doesn't mind putting the graft in, Barton done this well last season and most think Jonas could offer the same on the other side so no, it's nothing like OMG Lyke duff at dm. I'm not argueing that Jonas doesn't have the quality, at all. I, like you, believe he has alot in his locker and probably would do a good job in that position. What i'm saying is that the position you have him in, is not the position he played for Mallorca and effectively the reason we signed him. I feel extremely un-easy about changing his position in our side when he has yet to play a competitive game for us. The problem with playing him in that position is that whether you like it or not restricts his attacking impetus. Its almost the very point of the position in that respect. In saying that, i can see exactly why you would play him there, as it allows our other attacking players a role in the team. However, i wouldn't do it and i'm certain KK won't either.
