  1. They had an extra days rest "Difficult place to come" "Pitch wasn't great" " You know we've come here to Brighton today and played a really good footballing side, I know Gus well and hes produced a team that would perform well enough at premiership level. Our intentions were to really attack the game, but circumstances were against us. We lost our captain and best player in my opinions in Ameobi and from then on its an uphill battle with ten men. We've had a really hard schedule against some top sides, this was probably one game too many for the lads. But we look onto Norwich where hopefully I get the likes of Cabaye and Debuchy into the side. " There is taking the piss and then there is this
  2. The best thing out of this game is that Shola can't play next week. The only way it seems to get the useless piece of rubbish out of the team. The most depressing thing is that our reserves are no way good enough !!!
  3. This team is an insult to supporters. Are we so scared of injuries that we don't play our first team? do we care so litttle about a cup run ? I am at boiling point with Pardew and the whole set up.

    Pardew Out?

Every other Premier team must be looking at their fixture lists and hoping they play Newcastle soon. The easist 3 points on offer in the league.
  5. Does anyone Know what is happening with him. Nothing on the official website.
  6. I don't know if anyone has raised this but can't be a*sed looking through the site, are there any players currently out of contract we could look at as a temporary fill in ?
  7. TT, I normally agree with the vast majority of stuff you post but Martin O'Neill would be a f***ing disaster in my opinion. He's an utter c***. An absolutely despicable little cretin who plays a s**** brand of football. Appreciate I'll be in a majority of one with this view but if I hate the little f***er. I think MON comes into the category of be careful what you wish for
  8. Owen Coyle is going to be a great manager. Doubt he'd come here. Paul Lambert could become a great manager and might be worth trying. I will be beyond disappointed if it is Pardew and suicidal if it is Kinnear.
  9. Well if it is a good experienced manager coming in, then there will be new signings in January. No manager worth his salt is going to carry on for the rest of the season without a playmaker and a decent winger who can cross a ball. Also either the winger or the playmaker will need to deliver a good deadball.

    Colin Calderwood

No doubt about it, what is Hib's loss is Newcastle's gain. As these are both my teams sorry that he had to to Hibs but delighted he is away from NUFC. Just one more to go out the door now. Just a matter of time !!!
  11. Completely agree with last post. Boyd would be a disaster for us. Not as good as he thinks he is.
  12. Live in Edinburgh. Shared a flat in late sixties with fellow student whose parents lived in Hexham and started watching in 1967/68 season when staying with them on occasional weekends. Became season ticket holder with my son 7 years ago. Always had an interest even when living in the Middle East for 18 Years. Other team I support is Hibernian. Great weekend last weekend both teams won 5-1.
  13. Play Guittierrez in CM . That's where he plays for Argentina
  14. If only the goalkeeper was our problem !!! People are entitled to their opinions but what a load of bo**ocks. Harper is in the team on merit.
  15. I really hope those days are over where we signed egotistical, over the hill, overpaid and disinterested players. At the moment we are showing teamwork (albeit not very good football most of the time ) but the only players we should be signing are those with a future ahead of them for when we get back to the prem. Sorry, but Sol does not fit that category.
  16. What happened to the parachute payment ? Is it around £30m ? Does anyone know ?
  17. Well that definitely means we will not get promotion. CH is a clueless manager albeit he might be a good coach. Does anyone trust him to sign good players assuming Ashley actually gives him some spending money ? Remember the gems he has picked so far this season....Harewood, Krishnavilli and Simpson. I urge everyone to remember his last two spells in charge which could only be described as disastrous. We are where we are this season despite him not because of him. I am so depressed !!!!
  18. The one thing no-one has mentioned is the staggering lack of pace throughout the team. I can only agree with earlier comments on our midfield as it is appalling. We desperately need a playmaker as there is not any one remotely close to that in the present lot

    Marlon Harewood

Only just !!! Hope I'm wrong and he turns out to be great.
  20. I had such respect for Sir Bobby and wish his family comfort in knowing that he was much loved and respected , not only at Newcastle but throughout the whole world of football.

    RIP sale thread.

Maybe this profitable are fake and a bunch of chancers but at least they are exposing the laurel and hardy act for the lying c***s that they are...... 2 bids of 100m??? They don't want to sell that's my opinion. My latest reading of the fiasco. The PG are in it for the publicity that much is clear. They are piggy backing perhaps a very small bid 30-40m (although imo this is a fair bid for the club in the state that it's in). The other bid is 60m from FFS. For many reasons and some not logical I think MA will rather shoot himself in the arse than accept a bid from FFS (although it might get to a stage of panic where he might ). One sign that is glaring is not letting the high payers leave. What could this mean? Well it means two things, the first being they are being inc as assets in the ridiculously high window price and secondly MA can't be paying them (hence his relaxed stance on selling...The money is coming from the overdraft). You see the overdraft will land on the plates of the buyers. Has anybody actually bid 100m? Can't see it meself or MA would have been long gone. The rumour which I think is closest to the truth is that there are hidden costs and the window price of 100m is only a starting point. If MA is not writing off the debt of 110m the club will never sell. Darkness awaits. If MA is playing the game of letting the overdraft pay in the meantime that is downright stupid. Overdrafts have limits and what is going to happen when that is reached ? Cash will have to be injected or go into administration !! I don't think he will get much back on that basis and no-one will buy the club unless there is a transfer window in sight. Anyhow as someone else has said we don't actually know what is going on. I

    Jonas Gutierrez

Guttierrez = no end product. End of !
  23. Why are we surprised ? Name any team in the top two leagues with a worse midfield than we have. This has been coming since before Christmas and yet despite the other teams doing their best to give us a chance of survival we still managed to throw that chance away.
