  1. You can hit long balls when you've got the likes of Trippier, Botman and Schar all capable of pinging 50/60 yard passed to people's feet.
  2. Took his goal really well and made it look easy. It was never a foul because Lloris committed himself outside the box and they collided. Callum was the quickest to react
  3. Keeping up to date on here, I can't watch it anymore
  4. My first was born at 8.00am on the Saturday morning and I was at the cup final against Liverpool in the afternoon. At half time I wished I'd stayed with the bairn
  5. I don't know why they don't bring Steve Bruce back. He knows the club, knows the area and all the kebab shops plus he's had over 1000 games experience. It would also keep us amused for the rest of the season
  6. Managing Rangers or Celtic is light years away from managing in the EPL
  7. I disliked a lot of them, Dagleish, Big Sam etc of the more modern era. I won't go back as far as my 78 years permits. Pardew I just found to be a tosser, McLaren just not up to the job but I believe he brought in Shelvey so a plus there. Bruce I totally detest and do really hate and the strange thing is I always have done. I remember when it was rumoured that he might take over from SBR and just the thought of it destroyed me. I can not ever see why owners of football clubs would want to employ him. Apart from a half reasonable spell at Hull every club he's managed has gone backwards and good players ruined. So yes I hate Steve Bruce

He'll never get a better chance to shine than he did against yesterday's opposition. He had a lot of chances to really shine but didn't do it
  9. Joelinton was poor by his standards in the last game so Eddie has rested him and shown that everyone is dropable. I'm still 100% behind the team

It must make you a bit jittery with McGuire in front of you
  11. From where we were when Amanda took over it will take several years to build us up to be able to really compete with the top boys. We have taken giant steps since Eddie came in and brought in some good players. A lot of fans are whinging about why we didn't buy this one and that one but they don't seem to consider that the players we would like might not be available or their clubs prefer not to sell to us. When we get ASM, Wilson and Shelvey back we should be quite a threat

    Alexander Isak

I don't think that playing as an isolated striker suits him. He needs a Peter Beardsley type inside forward buzzing around him
  13. Potter and Howe are the new breed of managers. Brenden Rodgers I've never really reckoned. I know he got Leicester to 5th twice but in both those seasons he should have made the top four and blew up the last few games. When you think back to the old school managers, how they'd move clubs then try and bring in players from their old clubs. Nothing to do with how they might fit into their teams. If Potter does go to Chelsea I wish him well because I really like the guy
  14. Potter wouldn't be a big enough name for them and I doubt he'd want to go near the place. Got to be Poch
  15. Amazing that they've sold a couple of players, bought no one and still lose £130 million.

    Joelinton

Poor game by his standards. Lots of effort but very little end product. Maybe knackered after the Liverpool game
  17. He looks terrified just sitting on the bench. I sort of feel sorry for him, apart from the money side that is
  18. He was used to playing as 1 of 2 battering rams at Burnley and was effective. He came here when we couldn't get anyone else and without him we may not have survived. It was looking close between us and Burnley for who went down and him coming here pretty much settled that. He's done his job, been well paid no doubt and will spend the rest of days as a squad player or maybe move on.

I think that he's actually getting worse
  20. I sometimes wonder if he has some sort mental problem regarding injuries, a bit like like Dwight Gayle. He apparently felt injuries which the medical people didn't think existed and that was during Rafa's time here
  21. He played better after he broke his nose. Before that, apart from the goal, I thought he was like a cart horse
