Good interview and very informative. He knows what is expected of him and seems determined to do it
-
Burn tried hard to give Chelsea 3 points
-
So pleased to see Targett starting

He just didn't understand what Newcastle was all about and it's something you can't teach. All the talk we used to get about how we couldn't tolerate or accept outsiders . SBR was a Geordie so it was natural for him but Rafa also felt the club and the fans, was loved and accepted and could see the potential. Eddie, Amanda and her husband have fallen right into it and seem to love everything about the area and the club. The feeling of attachment that you get from being a meagre supporter can not be explained to those who don't know. I've followed my club for over 70 years (my first game was when I was 6 back in 1950) and the passion and feeling is as strong as ever.

I think that he's been struggling to maintain that high standard of his wether it be through injury or fatigue I don't know, but I think he has been a bit frustrated as of late at not achieving his incredibly high standards

Dean Smith is a pointless wanker so that's what you get. Abley supported of course by everyones friend John Terry
-
I've got bad vibes about this
-
Anderson has done okay but it's a big drop from big Joe and little Joe
-
Burn offers nothing. He can't control the ball, has no vision and never gets past iIsak or Armstrong
-
Could never understand why Rogers left Vardy on the bench most of the time. He's always been their main source of goals, hopefully not tonight
-
Fabinho sails very close to the wind and gets away with it most of the time
-
It would be nice if if Liverpool qualified over Man U on goal difference because of their 7-0 mauling
-
I love the way Eddie never tries to take any credit for himself
-
Good centre backs go in pairs and compliment each other. Botman and Schar both have different attributes but they gel and get the best out of each other.
-
I'd find that far worse, just not knowing what's going on when you could be watching every minute. I'm a bundle of nerves now
-
Yes, I've not lived up north for nearly 50 years but still feel the same. My brother, who is 87 is the same. If we lose he just goes to bed and won't eat his tea ?

Not been able to sleep for thinking about this game. I'm nearly 80 years old and thought I might have grown out of it but no, it's as bad as ever.

Could be 5th after the next round of games

As Eddie says, Longstaff gives us balance in midfield. I don't think that it's his individual brilliance that we miss because he does spurn quiet a few decent chances. Schar played on midfield in an international and he was dreadful so I don't see that being tried. I believe that Bruno was exceptional until quite recently and it was a large part of our success but now he seems to be struggling and it's really hurting us

Brighton have no more experience than us in big games so they should be feeling the pressure as much as us
-
You'd expect with the height of Botman and Burn that they'd get on the end of a few of our corners but it rarely happens. Lascelles used to get on the end of a few and score a couple of goals
-
Eddie has already said that he needs a full pre season to get up to speed and fully understand our way of playing. I think a lot of the criticism on here and other sites is unfair. Eddie obviously sees a lot of potential in the lad so give him time.
-
Was it a Leeds fan that got to Eddie or one of ours?
-
Loads of people have been crying out to play Wilson and Isak together now it was a stupid idea . Trippier being assigned to the bin and Almiron lead footed. Sometimes things just click, like Joelinton in midfield and you are seen as a hero. Eddie has done a fantastic job this season and he is learning all the time and without Trippiers early season performances we wouldn't be where we are

Disappointed yes, but those players must never have experienced this sort of pressure before. People on Twitter saying Howe should be sacked/replaced if the club want to move on. It beggars belief
