  1. He'll never get a better chance to shine than he did against yesterday's opposition. He had a lot of chances to really shine but didn't do it
  2. Joelinton was poor by his standards in the last game so Eddie has rested him and shown that everyone is dropable. I'm still 100% behind the team

It must make you a bit jittery with McGuire in front of you
  4. From where we were when Amanda took over it will take several years to build us up to be able to really compete with the top boys. We have taken giant steps since Eddie came in and brought in some good players. A lot of fans are whinging about why we didn't buy this one and that one but they don't seem to consider that the players we would like might not be available or their clubs prefer not to sell to us. When we get ASM, Wilson and Shelvey back we should be quite a threat

    Alexander Isak

I don't think that playing as an isolated striker suits him. He needs a Peter Beardsley type inside forward buzzing around him
  6. Potter and Howe are the new breed of managers. Brenden Rodgers I've never really reckoned. I know he got Leicester to 5th twice but in both those seasons he should have made the top four and blew up the last few games. When you think back to the old school managers, how they'd move clubs then try and bring in players from their old clubs. Nothing to do with how they might fit into their teams. If Potter does go to Chelsea I wish him well because I really like the guy
  7. Potter wouldn't be a big enough name for them and I doubt he'd want to go near the place. Got to be Poch
  8. Amazing that they've sold a couple of players, bought no one and still lose £130 million.

    Joelinton

Poor game by his standards. Lots of effort but very little end product. Maybe knackered after the Liverpool game
  10. He looks terrified just sitting on the bench. I sort of feel sorry for him, apart from the money side that is
  11. He was used to playing as 1 of 2 battering rams at Burnley and was effective. He came here when we couldn't get anyone else and without him we may not have survived. It was looking close between us and Burnley for who went down and him coming here pretty much settled that. He's done his job, been well paid no doubt and will spend the rest of days as a squad player or maybe move on.
  12. I think that he's actually getting worse
  13. I sometimes wonder if he has some sort mental problem regarding injuries, a bit like like Dwight Gayle. He apparently felt injuries which the medical people didn't think existed and that was during Rafa's time here
  14. He played better after he broke his nose. Before that, apart from the goal, I thought he was like a cart horse
  15. He will get better and better once he settles in to the pace of the PL
  16. I remember during the cabbage days, we were due to play Man City away. Bruce told them what a great team City were and that it was an honour for our players to be on the same pitch as them
  17. Be quite happy with a good strong performance, maybe a draw or lose by the odd goal

    Joe Willock

I thought that the team did well and got the job done. In the past we'd have rolled over and this group of players don't do that. Brighton could well be the surprise of the season and have been working on their system for 3 years
  19. Why does Burn go up for corners? All he does is head the ball into the air
  20. Feel sorry for the guy, he's made such an effort since Eddie came in
  21. You sometimes see this at first with Trippier. It seems like he's having some weaknesses exposed then before you know it he he has adjusted his game and is world class
  22. Apparently Lascelles makes a big contribution in the changing room helping with togetherness and moral etc

    Nick Pope

    Another good solid signing.
  24. If the stories are true it would seem like he's more interested in how much money he can get rather than playing for the shirt. If he was as good as he thinks he is that would be another matter

    England

Last night it looked like a team managed by Steve Bruce. Pick 11 players then let them get on with it. No plan, no tactics, no idea.
