  1. Watching Miley yesterday I just wonder if he could develope into a number 10. His ability to spot a pass in tight situations is uncanny. He needs to bulk up a bit which will also come naturally over the next 2/3 years. Improve his pace over 20 yards and who knows. I just don't see his defensive side coming naturally to him.
  2. Trippier is great when playing the high press with him spending most of time attacking. This last few games he has been turned inside out by pacey wingers. When we had ASM the opposition used to double up on him but we never do that. To play one on one against the likes of Son is very risky unless you are very very good.
  3. I don't know that getting into the Europa league is any big advantage apart from maybe prestige. I remember from when we qualified in the Pardew era that Ashley said that you needed to get to the semi final just to break even. The only big rewards are in the Champions League
  4. I noticed that as well I noticed that as well and for what it's worth I thought Hall looked solid and much tighter at the back than Burn had been
  5. Somehow we need an injection of passion and pace. We were ripped apart here and looked so flat. I think it's passed the time of blaming exhaustion and too many games. I fear for Eddie if things don't improve real soon and that would be a crying shame
  6. Burn is standing off his man because he gets skinned for pace of gets too close. Lose lose either way. Need to get Longstaff off big Joe on. Tino replacing Burn would be nice but I doubt it will happen
  7. Eddie will be working frantically in the background to turn things round and I'm confident he will succeed
  8. I have never been fully convinced about Longstaff and don't think he has ever reached the level he showed under Rafa.
  9. I think that maybe we got off to too good a start. Champions league and draw with Milan, hammer PGS then knock Man City and Man U out of the cup. Players must have been walking on air and then we start losing. Not just losing but playing poorly and they don't seem to have picked themselves up. I know we've had a bad run on injuries but most of our so called reserves would be good enough to get in the teams of the bottom clubs. Everyone knew it was going to be tough but maybe some of the players didn't realise just how tough
  10. They should have moved Bobby upstairs as a matter of respect.
  11. Garnacho and Antony are 2 of the worst players I've ever seen
  12. I don't think that Luton is the place to applause and support for Tripps after what happened to their captain
  13. There is pressure on every PL manager and Eddie is no exception. Very few managers survive beyond 3 years because they lose the power to motivate. I get get the impression that Eddie spends a lot of time looking at his own performance and seeking to improve
  14. I thought at the time that Tripps has tried to cushion header the ball for Dubs but Dubs didn't read it

    Lewis Hall

What I don't understand is the fact that he came through the youth set up as a midfielder and it was Lampard who used him as a full back and Eddie is doing the same. He should be more than capable of coming on for 20 minutes in either position
  16. He does look very troubled to me. When he walked up to take the penalty he looked like he was going to burst into tears.
  17. Made some really good intercepts tonight and passed the ball quickly from tight situations
  18. There must be some bad things going on in his head at the moment. Been something wrong with him ever since he returned early from England duty and I don't think it's anything to do with tiredness
  19. The owners are here to make a profit and we'll earn a lot more from a CL place than winning the Carrebo cup. We look to win every game
  20. Fantastic player, just needs to strengthen up a bit physically which will happen over the next couple of years
  21. Did a good job at Chelsea by spending a lot of money but I thought he did a poor job at Man U and also at Spurs. I wouldn't want him anywhere near us
  22. The problem with playing every 3 days is that they have very little time to train and iron out problems or change things
  23. We seem to be playing with a back 3 and it's leaving us wide open
  24. I think that Tonali was a big part of their plans and would have made is much more solid in midfield. Losing him for 10 months is a body blow
  25. We seem to be playing with a back 3 and it's leaving us wide open
