  1. Good coach, rubbish manager. So thumbs up from me!
  2. Pre contract for the 09-10 season then? (straws - at - clutching)
  3. I think I speak for the whole of Tyneside when I say Geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeetttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn theeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrre myyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooon!
  4. A goal every 1.9 games for this lad this year
  5. Divide minutes by 90 and you get 14 games, or 1 goal every 2.8 games
  6. 7 subs is a decent idea, but total squad sizes should be capped to prevent the hoovering up of talent etc
  7. We're going to resign Kieron Dyer?
  8. Jheez man - don't tempt fate! I'd say possibly because they can afford to wait a season to see how he adapts then make a move, whats another £10-£15m to Chelsea or ManU?
  9. Bolton at home. Brought everyone back to harsh reality and that KK wasn't an instant fix
  10. hablo Espanol shirley? (I you speak Spanish is how 'Yo hablas Espanol' translates as) I was always told either was acceptable. Eres tu Espanol? Nope, did it for A-Levels and just been in Mexico for a couple of weeks so did a bit of brushing up. Was being a sarcy pedant anyway!
  11. hablo Espanol shirley? (I you speak Spanish is how 'Yo hablas Espanol' translates as)
  12. One player I've always wanted to see at the Toon is Yakubu, not a cat in hells chance of t happening now though
  13. Ne5 vs the rest of NO re the old board
  14. Said last summer that Bent could be a new Ferdinand for us, still think the same
  15. Sell Owen, buy Anelka. Or don't sell Owen as he has been instrumental in our recent turnaround in form.
  16. You're right that Mike can be a ruthless bugger, but he can also be very loyal (the Finance Director at Sports Direct was his accountant when he started out for example) and isn't petty enough to cast aside someone who he feels is good for the business due to a personal disagreement. And Mike believes that KK is vitally impolrtant to Newcastles short to medium term future. It would take a very petty man to hold a grudge against a man of KKs standing at Newcastle for what was said on Monday.
  17. That sponsor is massively horrible! Like the home kit all of it (bar the sponsor) the rest look naf JW hair doesn't look that great either if you ask me. He looks like Morag from Home and Away in that shot
  18. Well stop worrying then, only last week he was saying Ashley was the perfect owner because he never gave interviews and kept his nose out of Keegan's side of things. Now the papers turn that into "Wha, wha - ASHLEY NEVER SPEAKS TO ME!!!!!!!! For f***'s sake. Precisely, aside from maybe discussing transfer budget, which im sure Mort is aware of anyway, what would Keegan and Ashley want to discuss?I cant see why the owner and manager would ever want to speak football club wise, i'd be a lot more worried if the chairmen and manager werent speaking. Ashley has a multimillion sports leisurewear empire to run on a day to day basis. He bought The Toon to have some fun, not get involved in the day to day running of the club, hence the rather top heavy 'Executive Team' that we have. All he wants to do is have a bit of fun, enjoy his Saturdays and eventually win a few tin pots. Thats why Keegan doesn't speak to him. And as for Transfer budgets etc, in any business of a certain size the owner will not discuss budgets or targets with employees, thata what us accountants and human resource teams are for
  19. Can't see Duff and Charlie both leaving, ditto Roz and Claudio
  20. oh god i hope so, the best ever away shirt imo Would rather wait till the 10/11 season and have both the home and away shirts re-released
