Talksport suggesting Gudjonson to Citeh. Would still be a good signing for us, just behind Oba

More chance of Europe than relegation imo

One worry is that as KK has given Owen the armband he is a starter when fit. Can Oba and Owen play together? We still need an answer to this. My view is that they can play together as long as the midfield are playing on the deck and looking for quick balls forward. There maybe the problem -
The One Thing We Need, Above All Else...

Darren Bent for me. Yes Spurs paid well over the odds for him, but you could build a midfield and supporting striker around him, he will run the channels and always looks for the ball. Probably would be available too. -
The guy who told me that the Beye and Faye deals had completed (low grade accounts pleb at SJP) reckons we have made a bid equal to Spurs but nothing confirmed re Boro accepting it or Woody agreeing terms. Bit more vague than the last 2, not sure I believe him on this one, but its another 'ITK' for the thread I suppose

he's worth what somebody is prepared to pay for him. For me, yeah £7m is a fair price for all parties

The Cole sale talk for me. That was the start of the title charge really

Bring back Gillespie!

He failed at a number of jobs, based on effectively cracking and walking away. Its just the way things are. Plenty of people would argue against that, and state other reasons for his departures. If nowt else, least he has the decency to resign, rather than hanging on for a pay-off. So now he's some kind of brave soldier for walking away, as opposed to a man who couldn't take the pressure and did one?? Once could be discussed. Twice would be very unfortunate.........more than that? You seriously think every departure can be dismissed on its own merits, ignoring the pattern? Keegan did not fail here last time. I'm sure the bright successful managers like Hughes and Moyes would love that level of failure

Didier Deschamps?

I think you nailed the spelling. Used to play for Everton didn't he?

Anyone else hear Sir Les on Talksport earlier? Talking about 'that' interview, the next day in training all the players going around sayin 'I'd love it'. Need that spirit and camaraderie(sp - most definitely wrong I reckon) back
