Yeah, it's exciting, but i don't fancy being glued to SSN until 11:59, just incase we sign someone else. Wait till tomorrow, we'll pull another Bernard out of the hat

A front three of Sibs, Bent and Heskey tomorrow then -
Riquelme is talking to both us and Everton. Just a whisper, probably bollix

Harper - played well so far, doesn't deserve for Given to come straight back in Solano - ahead of Taylor - feel Wigan may pack the mid/def and an attacking full back gives options Roz Cacapa Enrique Milner Smith - See Solano, cant see a need for Butt in this one Geremi Zog Martins Owen - Think Dukes needs a rest and may be more effective as a late battering ram in this one Shola Dukes Taylor Emre/Butt - depending on Emre's fitness Given early goal and I think we'll go on and get a 3-0. If we don't score by half time it could be a nil-nil or a scappy one-nil

The silver lining though... He wasn't very good to start with so the injury shouldn't have much impact on him when he recovers. All the best though to the lad, hope he is playing again somewhere next season

Can someone who went to the game on Sunday and wasn't involved in the chanting please sue the perma tanned one for slander/libel whatever I'm all for free speach, but when its such an ill informed piece of crap then action needs to be taken as many people will read this and accept it as fact. 3,000 fans were not racially abusing Mido. A couple of hundred were The rights and wrongs of the chants is irrelevant here, each fan who went on Sunday is now branded a racist in the media. That is wrong

A flipant comment, but it does lead into the question that is it ok to pursecute over a choice in life? For example we all choose to be Newcastle fans, would it be acceptable for a slur to be made on us based on this fact or (for example) turned down for a job because of it (similar way to the way that employers are beginning to search for My Space entries etc on candidates). However we can't help that we were fortunate enough to be born Geordies (or other), is it then acceptable for the same slurs/rejections? If you agree that it is acceptable in the first instance (i.e supporting the Toon) then does it then follow that religion is fair game as that too is a choice. I'm sure someone can answer this, I guess there must be some form of acceptable boundary somewhere! f****** hell! What's happened to this forum? We've gone all Philosophical Perhaps should have gone in the GC thread but ho hum

Carling Cup 2nd Round - Newcastle vs Barnsley (29/08/07)

For me the big question is who plays in goal Do you let Given play his way back into contention or let Harper continue for continuance sake? Think I'd stick with Harper, Given's time to wait on the bench now - he can have the FA Cup this year -

Do Newcastle World have exclusive internet rights to all Newcastle games or just Premier League ones? I doubt we will be on any national station so internet broadcasting is my only hope! -
Best wishes go to Dyer, as many have said on a personal level its rotten luck and I wouldn't wish that on anyone - hope he makes a full recovery. However, from West Hams perspective its bloody hilarious really and the situation they find themselves in I have no sympathy and can laugh about it whole heartedly. £2m for Solano now would do me nicely

Adriano isn't past it like Kluivert was. If he was motivated, he genuinely could be one of the best. I seriously doubt that playing for Newcastle United would motivate him though. I would have thought that the humiliation of falling behind Shola Ameobi in a pecking order would be enough to motivate even Wayne Slob never mind Adriano
-
Would be beautiful to watch him week in week out. Roman is conducting the negotiations personally as he did with Schev. Time for Ashley to pounce!
-
Hasn't he admitted that the alcohol was his downfall last season? If he's on the wagon and desperate to prove something I'd take him in a heartbeat. Get rid of Shola to make room

Gonna be loads of silly rumours this week (like Ronaldinho to Chelsea). Also heard a whisper (won't even give it rumour status though tbh) that ManU want Owen and we are going to replace him with Defoe. Can't see any of these happening, nor Taylor going to Liverpool
-
Solano out Faye Diarra or Johnson Ronaldinho (we've got to beat Chelski to one signing lol!) In
-
It seemed pointless asking Newcastle fans if they hated Newcastle. When I was at uni me and my ManU supporting chums used to joke that everybody hates Leeds, even Leeds fans.

Two nil, Offi again

So far aye, mind its against St Mirron today so to be expected Must be going mental, thought it said Hibs. They're not even close lol! Hibs got beat by Rangers earlier No, Kilmarnock got beat by Rangers earlier. Hibs are playing Aberdeen. Oops!
