I'm taking an educated guess on wages being around £2m a year and as you would pay them if he stays they come off the base cost
-
Assuming the £20m was correct and any deal happens after 1st July then you can also take into account the amortisation for 25/26 as it's a hit if he stays or goes and you've got a years wages saved from the p&l. So overall the loss in 25/26 is of a base cost of around £10m None of this applies before the end of June!
-
Its probably (understatement) too many changes but you could add Gordon to the outgoings (£80m?) and bring in Kluivert for £45m bringing the net spend a little closer to £100m. I wouldn't do that trade in isolation but overall the team is much stronger in this champ man tastic scenario

Gillespie and Ruddy (or Forster/Krul likely for next season) are neither here nor there but realistically Dubs and Pope will be off this summer or next so unless our Greek God turns into a decent number 2 we're looking for an understudy for the likely England number 1 next summer at the latest. That isn't going to be an easy task at all -

I'd refer you to Given being the only Irishman to not know where Dublin was :-) But they were really few and far between -
Anyone can be put on gardening leave, but seems little point in putting on leave if its on good terms as it is a pair of hands to work through negotiations etc

I can tell you it's tough. I was told that my role was being taken in a different direction (told middle of April) bit asked of I would stay to November to sort out year end amongst a few other things. Motivation has hit an all time low and I'm only 6 weeks into a 7 month period. Poor Sean has essentially been in this position for a year so credit to him for keeping motivated this season. -

We're going to need a second keeper within a year to regardless on who we sign this summer. Can't see Pope being a number 2 and Dubs is off. Going to be difficult getting a decent number 2 in to play second fiddle to a young keeper destined to be England's number 1. Good luck Eddie! -

Id let Dubs go and get his Saudi payday now. Send the Greek over -
A couple of things. First off the release clause is probably lower than Wolves value the player so they add in clauses like high up front payments. Didn't we do similar with Bruno? Also clubs pretty much all run at a loss and losses need cash to find them, unless Wolves have owners willing to increase their investment this is either loans or cash from trading. It's the other strand to PSR - cash availability to support the losses. So for me nothing to see here and totally normal behaviour - goes for ManU as well, as funny as it is seeing them as penny pinching they also have to balance the cash need for running the club and what is likely to be a high transfer spend this year

If we're getting a greyhound track then I want a disco downstairs complete with glitter ball. Pie and peas the only food choice

I'm sure a couple of million would have allowed for an extra game. Hopefully on the next round of rights will include an Amazon style last day free for all -

As long as its in next seasons accounts it makes no odds at all whether we release or keep Hayden, it's one year wages in one year regardless. Any payments due for us terminating would be the difference but that may be countered by a loyalty bonus if we keep him to the end. Id guess we'd let him leave on a free of there was an offer but if not he'd stay on payroll and use the facilities to keep in some form of fitness

And then I want to see him in the dugout with Big Joe playing the Tindall role

im not arsed about where City finish (other than the lols if they end up 6th), hence them not being a factor in our destiny -

Yeah I think Line 16 puts us Europa. I also don't think the City result has any bearing on us now. We can only catch them with a win which puts us in the CL regardless of what City do. -
If that's the case then we'd have to write it all off in this years accounts so Ryder would be wrong in his calcs

There's only 3 games with anything riding on them so you'd hope that they will see sense, especially as 2 of them involve the media darlings Manure and Chelsea I reckon TNT take the Villa game and sky have us, Chelsea/Forest and the Liverpool game -

This is hurting my head! I *think* if we win we're in the champions league if we draw and Chelsea/Forest draw then we're in the Champs league regardless of the Villa result If we match Villa's result we are in the champions league If we draw and either Chelsea or Forest win we need Villa to draw or lose If we lose and Villa win or draw its Europa league regardless of the Chelsea Forest game So I think the Villa beat Manure box becomes Forest Chelsea Draw with the arrow going to champs league being yes then the Villa result box hits the intersection of the Forest box ,us losing and Europa league - you can lose the Villa beating Manure box as it only becomes relevant if Forest or Chelsea win after we draw Again I *think*, its hurting my head putting it into a flowchart -

Do you need the feedback loop between losing to Everton and beating Everton?
