Enjoyed it so far, standard doesn't look great but I think the real tests are still come to, obviously Cardiff away has bee nearmarked as that, but also how we get on at places like Bloomfield Road on a wet Winter night, be interesting to see if the "passion" remains.

It's on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2010_FIFA_World_Cup_qualification#Ranking_of_second-placed_teams Sucks to be Hungary, Northern Ireland could be in a spot of bother though, but if they're going to make 2nd they've got to beat Slovakia anyway. Hungary have Portugal twice - but it's difficult to work out because if another team in a group overtakes the current 2nd place, it all changes as it then goes on their results.

You don't need to win, tbh. You need a draw. Republic look well set for the playoffs, Bulgaria go to Italy on Wednesday, if Italy win as expcted Ireland are 5 ahead of Bulgaria with 6 available - Ireland still have to host Montenegero (and Italy) Norn Ireland, I love watching these as I love the underdogs. Also like to see Worthington do well after what he did at Norwich. If they beat Slovakia on Wednesday at home, well, playoffs are very much on the cards - maybe even automatic if some miracles happen. England friendlies bore me, would like to beat Croatia - who are missing Corluka now - and get qualification sorted early, although if we don't qualify from here something has gone horifically wrong.

Henri Camara is wank and a bad apple in the dressing room, we don't want him. Marlon Harewood is equally terrible and didn't do well in this division with Wolves - but neither did Shola with Stoke.

Mackem On OTB Reckons Cathcart Is Coming To Toon.

That's what I was getting at. I think "Emergency" is just an easier way of saying "1 to 3 months." I don't think there is any criteria, as such. -

As I understand it, "emergency" is just how they say 1-3 month loan. They happen on a daily basis in the football league, GG will probably be able to tell you more but I don't think there's anything fancy about it. -

So would it go through as a long term loan (as in...all set up just had to be delayed becasie the player is elsewhere) or would we have to settle for an "emergency" 3 month loan? -
Injuries if anything will be worse, due to the physicality of the league and the fact there is more games.
-
I think we all would, it's just funny seeing everybody reject Phil Brown

Nugent picks Burnley over Hull

If we get an injury we get an emergency loan in, it's not ideal but there's 4 months to get through

Craig's back: No news from the mackems about Hutton/Anton - Hutton not keen on the North East Birmingham trying to buy Tainio Andy Burton - Daryl Murphy to Ipswich. This is not important.
-
Woodgate and King are cripples.

Craig's phone Nothing new though regarding us

did he not go to boro on loan? if not who was that that went on loan there? Marlon King
-
Craig says: Leadbitter/Edwards to Ipswich now completed, £4m combined. Yawn. Rumours circulating that mackems still want to buy others. Awaiting announcement from Newcastle on Lovenkrands. Mystery players having medicals right now. Surely it's his job to find out who

It's nearly Jim White time. I for one am shaking with delight.

Emergency loans are for 1-3 month IIRC

There's no deadline for us, can't help but think SSN are just trying to get NUFC fans to watch as usual.

Was funny when the whole team celebrated except Geremi, some of the Leicester lads seemed to be asking him why he wasn't bothering

Just got in, some random thoughts. Firstly though, that rain on the way in, fuck me, it was like a war scene, people just started to run towards the stadium to shelter from it, it was like being ina car wash. Was fucking soaking. Anyway, important matters: Harper - Played really well, good saves from howard and impeccable handling with a wet ball. R Taylor - Steady Enrique - So strong, great match for him defensively. Couldn't pass for shit though. S Taylor - Good, sometimes communication with Simpson could have been better Simpson - Did well out of position again but some obvious shaky moments when he's learning the position, things like letting the ball bounce and pushing up too high chasing the ball. Geremi - He's slow, he knows what he wants to do but his legs don't know how to do it anymore. Barton - First half he was turd, it even got to the stage where I thought he was purposefully being shit, every pass he was just flicking his foot without even looking. Second half was much better. Smith - Didn't get booked for a change, was very good. Had a shot on target too, a true red letter day for our captain. Guthrie - Great goal, I like Guthrie and he can do a job on the right or in the middle, preferrably centre midfield though. Nolan - I've been his biggest critic recently but tonight thought he did well at everything except shooting. Hold up play and general link up was excellent, but I wish he'd fucking lace it, so annoying. Ranger - Battled himself into the ground, really did a shift tonight. Was fouled so many times but the ref was terrible/racist (safety wink ) Movement is poor though, as the lone striker if he stands still he's going to be marked, when we have the ball in wide positions he should be moving, instead he just picks somewhere to stand and he's easy to mark. The amount of goals he's scored at outh/reserve level suggests he knows how to get into the positions to score, so we'll see how he progresses. Very promising though. Of the subs, all three weren't on very long, Vuckic had to be shouted at until he ran, I've barely seen any of him play so I won't make judgment but he strikes me as one of those who likes to sit in the hole behind a striker and likes the ball into his feet. Doesn't like to jump for headers either. Hmm. Ref was terrible also, just seen the (2) pens he didn't give and the afforementioned Ranger raping.

Howay Skirge keep up, was posted when the Mirror put it online last night
