  1. Going to be fucking mint when we have to go 600 miles from the Chinese border 3 days before the away derby.

That feels like a conflict of interest

What did we ever do to Brentford? Thought Thomas Frank was always a bit weird about us as well, like when we came from behind to win there and he was like "and then they brought on the £60m striker" like it was some sort of cheat code.

I was genuinely concerned Arsenal would go for Wissa to cover Havertz. Then with the lunacy of Spurs offering Richarlison to Palace to make room for Wissa…Eze going to Arsenal probably helps us. Probably. Who knows anymore.
  5. This might be the most feral night in Premier League history. And that’s before you consider both sets of fans will have been on the drink since Friday.
  6. If he stays I think he'll play second fiddle to Wissa (if he ever signs) in the majority of bigger games, unless there's some sort of grand gesture of apology. Can quite easily see a scenario where Isak is starting the Carabao game and a Champions League game away to Bodo-Glimt, that sort of caper.

    Marc Guehi

Probably fair, he absolutely has to be playing in a World Cup year.

    Jacob Ramsey

Have to say like I respect how much Downie sticks to his sources and doesn't follow Romano and the likes.

Aye you know who else was less? Alan Shearer. We signed Bruno 3 and a half years ago, fees have only gone more mental in that time.
  10. I’ve only ever noticed Ramsey play on the left wing tbh.

Targett was widely considered a success and we were all pleased to sign him permanently. He got injured before Brighton away about 2 games into the following season, the back 4 was class for a bit and was the basis for our success on the way to finishing 4th. Then we snapped up Hall and Tino and his eczema was running wild, he didn't stand a chance really. He's been fine during pre-season, nowhere near first choice but a more than capable squad player. If someone is willing to pay him his £600k a week (ha) then obviously he can go but otherwise, he's fine.

They got £47m for Evanilson and a fair whack for Conceicao (split across an initial loan and now a transfer fee) but they also paid £7.5m for Jan Bednarek, swings and roundabouts

They’re like when Mr Burns wants his teddy bear back and he puts himself on every TV channel
  14. First half we should have been ahead, Joelinton had a couple of decent chances but we were in the Gallowgate so will gladly be corrected if they weren’t as decent as they looked. Botman is a class above and it’s no coincidence we looked shaky without him. Obviously it’s a big drop off to Murphy anyway but if we can keep Botman fit he’s going to be huge this season. Otherwise, Elanga is rapid, gets fans off their seats. Will only really see the best of him when he has a real centre forward to provide for though. Barnes was anonymous, Gordon ran around like a dog until eventually going off to get put down. His touch was off all day. Joelinton was combative but got more frustrated as it went on, Tonali scrapped for everything but couldn’t really effect the game. They were cynical as fuck. Anytime they were beaten there was a cynical pull back, an awful opponent from a spectator point of view but probably a good lesson for us - be as cynical as you want 60 yards from your own box.

He’s a handful but also very raw. A lot for Eddie to work with but will also be frustrating whilst he adapts. I’d say it is vital it’s Wissa and him if at all

I think he wants to play as a striker and he’s not getting that chance at Bournemouth
  18. Wissa and Watkins from that list for me. Not that I am confident on either (especially Watkins)
  19. This whole thing has seemed weird from the start. Just keep thinking about what SP said where it’s Man Utd’s side pushing the “he chose us” narrative.
  20. I would agree except two of the games are Chelsea and Man Utd. Potentially rivals for league places (maybe not, who knows)
  21. As has been said, would we go without a striker for a month when the AFCON starts? I know it’s “only a month” but it’s very un-Eddie like. I can’t see us relying on Osula either
  22. He’s just an immensely positive person. I think it’s easy to get wrapped up in these sagas playing out on Twitter but ultimately there’s about 4 weeks left and things will start moving. We’ve got our list (don’t we fucking know it) and he’ll be confident of filling the spots by the end of the month.

Does no fucker have a release clause any more? Another tiresome waste of time coming up
