I don’t think bringing in a new coach means an awful lot either way for the takeover. I think he will probably be the interim manager in a few weeks or months and is more qualified than any of the Steve’s to do that. He’s a cheap way to try and get an ounce of improvement and make it look like we are doing something about being shit without having to spend millions on a new player.

If we want a stop gap I think the most realistic is Pearson. It isn’t a difficult job if the task is to stay up, just need that fabled new manager bounce everyone else seems to enjoy. Our next league game looks a banker to get postponed too. We've already played 2 games less than most of the clubs around us. That's why I wondered if you'd taken the decision to not really kick up a fuss about having to play. I doubt Klopp will go full strength and if you played your first team there's every chance you'd win but if it's not a priority it's almost a free pass.
