Not sure, what it implies, as if this is the true wage bill, they should have a fair bit of wriggle room for extra players considering their number of tickets and average home crowds. Must be a good time for their fans, championship, financial stability, large crowds, and the cherry on the cake of their rivals failures.

I think the reason for such investment, is similar to what Qatar did with their league in the years running up to the World Cup bid. They bought ex- World Cup winners, and great players at the end of their careers solely to highlight the country. I spent two months there during this time, and 60 minutes into a game the sheik and his entourage would enter the mostly empty stadium, the foreign players would be subbed on. 15 minutes later with the score 3-0, the sheik would leave, the said players subbed. This is the hardest choice we have had for many a year. There is a case for the difference that any of the players have made. Big Joe, has been immense, Bruno is a huge player, the deference has been superb, Almirante has at times been electric. For me, and the work that he does every game Willock has been outstanding, the one player Arsenal needed this year. He just gets better and better. Most improved must go to Murphy. But Howe has created one hell of a team.

After watching every Bruce game, I am absolutely certain that what you are referring to wasn’t on the football field. Not one player made any form of progress under Bruce. Longstaff? Schar? Ritchie? Wilson? Almiron? Lascalles? And of course what he did with big Joe - stuff of legends? Bruce had his backers in the press, sure, but not within the club nor the fan base.

This sums up completely my feelings from yesterday. The pride everyone gave was immense, but none more so than our fans, this was incredible and a spectacle that will be long remembered. This is just a start to our success, we now have a team and management we can be proud of, but also one that are clearly proud of our part in this. To everyone who went to the match, thank you, and to everyone who was in London too, thank you, you did us proud. You will be remembered.

Me too, this is going to be hilarious. The possibilities are endless, and it is almost impossible to discern what it is without any gaps. With only 50% in attendance it is anyone’s guess as to what it will look like. However, at least it is an effort and far more than most teams try, so kudos for this. Would have thought keeping it simple would help.

My first ever game was seeing Supermac score a hat trick. My god could he ride a tackle.

Managed to get a few tickets yesterday. Two last 16 games, a quarter final and a semi final. No idea of course who I will see, but will just enjoy the spectacle.

During my time supporting the club, I have always retained a soft spot for our ex managers regardless of their success rate with us. There was always the feeling that they were trying their best for the club and us. Unfortunately Ashley and his cronies have altered this. Pardew, Kinnear, and Carver were all abhorrent in differing amounts, and it was fun to see the depths that they fell too post toon. However, Bruce has reached new heights, with this, during his time here his narcissistic view was never about our club, it was about him, and it is joyous to watch the depths he takes clubs too. WBA, should know better, but appear to be in denial of the obvious and certainty of his failure. The only crumb of hope for them, is when it all falls to pieces, the next manager will surely have a free ride to make progress, and the fans can then get back onside. In the meantime, to see the same old figures supporting his obvious failures and pathetic excuses is hilarious to see and follow. Looking forward to more WBAmisery with glee, until the point the fans realize what has actually turned up.

This match was just shocking from start to finish once we got inside. The trip down was amazing, so many, singing throughout. But once inside there was too many tickets sold for the spaces, this was compounded by the paddock to the right being empty. Spent the whole game with arms locked on a barrier with two folk in front of me. Throughout the match coins and spit was raining down from the delightful home crowd. Next day headlines were Geordies Riot. Children were being passed over the crowd. Initially the police were preventing people from climbing the fences. Disgraceful behavior from the club and the police. To this day, my disdain for that club has never waivered.

Guess you see what you want to see. Just don’t want to have any association with such rich fuckers, who are just too rich to be prosecuted, but just to say, Jimmy Seville was never convicted. Prosecution as I am sure you know is dependent on a number of factors, and guilt does not always get a prosecution. I am certainly no judge, but I have worked for him - something I am ashamed of to this day. Still, there are millions of other more appropriate tunes out there, with no dubious backstory to get behind.

My real worry is that the other teams around us are picking up points with the occasional win. Really cannot see where the next win will come from, against any team. The defense, is weak, but slowly improving, but goals against per game are worrying, and generally do not lie. We have one decent half fit striker. We are going to have an awful lot of Brewcie luck to gain points. There is not a team there at present. However, I am hopeful that our new landlords are improving things, and want to succeed, and are trying to find the root problems, rather than some more chip paper with cheap emulsion to cover the gaping holes. Time is the issue this season.

I hope that all goes well for him. It has clearly been a tough six months being second fiddle to the now departed muppet. One way or another, it will have repercussions. This is perhaps the most interesting part. If Ashley succeeds, what will this mean for the takeover? Would it lead to him discounting the sale of the club? Could other potential bidders then be interested? Would Ashley become just more entrenched if it failed? or would he just walk away? How are his other interests? As we are SDs cash cow, will Ashley’s move to focus on Debenhams have a significant impact? If Ashley succeeds, will other clubs look to go down this route, especially if they are in financial difficulties?

Luckily, I have never heard of this Grimes character, but what on earth is he on about with that Marxist comment. He obviously has never read any Marx, either in the original language nor an English translation. There are many BLM supporters who vote a long way to the right of centre. Equally I am sure that the are many who are centerist and others who are on the more left spectrum. The two issues are not the same nor equitable. He really could have done with some critical thinking classes back in primary school.

Everyone is different, yet we are all the same, some blokes just have smaller hands and d***s than others, whilst some are more of a d*** than others. Creed and colour and race are irrelevant to this. Equally, and more importantly there are great folk out there, everywhere. Classism is another issue, so many look down on others from a different class or so called perceived class, yet more folk in the UK are in the top 5% of wealthiest in the world. The issue is whether we as individuals respect others. This is not political, or it really shouldn’t be, it is about being a good neighbour. In an educated society we understand that others will have a differing opinion to us, the opposite is the definition of a bigot.

I am with you on this mattoon except that I think it is off until it is on. This just helps my own sanity, as years of hope have persistently been dashed. Now thinking the worst, means I am occasionally content - though the Ashley years have been very thin on this front. No hope for the forth coming seasons, until a glimmer of light appears. Until then, I am content with Chonburi FC, and their woeful exploits.
