  1. My bad Smith just doesn't look like a footballer, at all. Agreed.
  2. They've been really good this half. We just haven't been able to keep up with their pace. That second goal was also quality football all around.
  3. Shit marking but they've really stepped it up this half. We really haven't been able to strung more than a few passes together because of the pressure that they're exerting on us.
  4. well you got your wish I'm KK in the making. Let's get you on the field then Too old. My legs are gone.
  5. Very harsh on Butt, think he's been great. He's tried a couple of his "Hollywood-passes" that's been wasteful, but aside from those two, he's been immense. Agreed 100%. You're a true Butt fanboy, Keef. But I agree. He's been good.
  6. The rest of players are doing fine, though, and I'm really pleased with the performances so far Enrique, MY HERO (), is doing pretty good and that ball to Martins was top-notch. Quality player I tell thee
  7. Anyone know if that's actually what he wrote? Not quite sure if that's quite the kind of thing I'd want to be advertising, true or not. Would fit in with what Jol said when Modric signed (signed for the manager and European footie).
  8. Man, Viduka is slow, shit and incapable of making a pass. If we had anyone else better than him playing, we'd be dominating this game. Every ball launched up is coming back towards us because Viduka's too slow to get into position to challenge it and/or he cannot jump high enough to challenge Terry and Carvalho, so it's really restricted the way we can counter-attack them to just the ball in behind to Martins. It's like we're playing with 10 men here. Even though we're doing fine and had a great spell to end the half, imagine how much better it could have been if we had someone other than Viduka (who would actually contribute)? I'd actually put Smith in there because he'll win a few headers and at least he'll run around more. Viduka's just been totally off the pace today and thus, out of the game. Even when the ball goes into his feet, he gives away. And that's supposed to be his forte or summat. It's like he's trying to pull off a shit impersonation of Alan Smith. And he's been successful.
  9. Martins has been our only outlet today. We're playing well, though. Keeping possession well and defending pretty resolutely. If only we had some more pace in the team to actually launch a counter-attack because by the time our players run up to support Martins, they've got 5 of theirs back as well.
  10. So he was working at the casino that Ashley won £1m and now he gets hired? Seems fishy to me
  11. Good to see Charlie on the bench. We'll need his pace if Chelsea manage to score first.
  12. soccernet.com's pretty good as well.
  13. I think that was the same for me back then. When he retired, I thought 'thanks for everything, but I'm glad you're going so we can move on'. But now, looking back, there were so many good times that I just tend to forget the shite at the end. It was a good ride, and he was worth every penny. My affection for him has grown, and will probably continue to grow, with time.
  14. Parma's winning. Still a chance that they survive. Come on!
  15. Fuck Chelsea. We can do this. Fuck the title, let's kick some arse.
  16. Souness narrowed our pitch when he was here. Yep. I remember seeing the old lines when we were playing the UEFA Cup. Ours was pretty big when SBR was here.
  17. Ronaldo's 4 goals away from tying the single season Premiership goal scoring record (34).
  18. Fuck me, Zenit! Whoa! 4-0!
  19. I think he gained the dirty rep from his early time here in England for a few mis-timed tackles. But since then, I've found him to be a model pro. Excellent footballer, and a sexy mofo to boot. Edit: grammar and spelling
  20. How can anyone not like Essien though? He's an awesome player, never gives up, ain't dirty and plays his heart out. Did anyone ever see an interview with him from a year or so ago where he was just smiling the whole time and saying that his favourite hobby is sleeping? Genuinely seemed like a good guy.
  21. To be fair, they beat Man United quite easily last week. Different venue and totally different circumstances. Chelsea's backs won't be against the wall in this one and Fergie won't be resting Ronaldo and Tevez.
