  1. I'm sure we're trying to flog him for that much, but there's no chance Wenger will go for it. This is just an agent leak trying to drum up interest for him.
  2. Martinez bringing back that glorious Wigan team, innit I mean the one that finished 17th
  3. Sheva left when he was 30 and lost a yard of pace. At 25, 26, the guy was amazing.
  4. That list is fap worthy. Let's see how this goes.
  5. I'm still feeling somewhat apathetic about us. Don't know what to do about it. Annoyed that Pardew has done this and now the feeling still hasn't gone.
  6. Yeah, he needs to go on the Hazard diet and develop a stronger core. Then he'll be faster and stronger.
  7. The worst thing is the Russians won't be able to pay big money for him because the rouble has gone down the drain. I don't think they'll be big players in the transfer market this window.
  8. How did Carver put up with 4 years of Pardew after having been with SBR?
  9. Hazard is really fucking good. Fergie made a lot of transfer mistakes towards the end of his time at Man Utd, that's why they're playing catch up now. He didn't see the huge jump in fees and wages. Hazard was a steal at £32m or whatever it was.
  10. I'm laughing at the fact that this must be the first time the homer British commentators were right about something. They wanted him months ago and now he's proving them right.
  11. Fucking hell. He's legit good right now.
  12. Yeah, he's finding himself in a lot of trouble with that defence.
  13. They're 4th in Ligue 1 but their latest results are a Pardew wet dream. Tons of 1 goal victories and draws. Anyway, I don't completely mind it because there weren't any 3 goal defeats thrown in there.
  14. Please no more dumb British managers. Get someone who at least sounds smart enough to have thought deeply about tactics and man management. No more Pardews, Allardyces, Curbishleys who say what comes into their head. Is there a British manager who fits that criteria? I don't know. But I'd rather go foreign that go for another one of those. In 12 months, everyone on this forum will be tired of them. Plus all of them want control of transfers to buy shit British players for 3 times their market price. Get a foreigner who will be familiar with the players that we have, familiar with their job description and constraints, and also someone who sounds somewhat intelligent. Getting a British manager who says he's cool with the transfer policy only to end up realising that he's not and wants to buy his best mate's son will be immensely frustrating.
  15. We're going to transition to a club that does transfers whether a manager is there or not, like Real, Barca, Man Utd etc, do. And that's the best way. Now we have to find a manager that fits our players, rather than find 11 different players to fit a new manager. It's the better philosophy in the long run and I actually trust our transfer guys. It was just the fuckwit in charge that couldn't use them well. I'm still annoyed about MYM.
  16. Yep, his 13th today. Wilshere has 11 in his career.
  17. He'll have 2 years on his contract come this summer. He won't last longer than the end of next year if Pardew is still here.
  18. He's had one good season in his managerial career. Yes, sometimes his teams can play other teams off the park but he wasn't able to fix the defensive problems at Wigan and got them relegated - something that Bruce didn't, by the way. The defensive problems at Everton are also clear for people to see and they're problems that didn't exist to this extent under Moyes. Tell me why anyone should consider him more than a one year wonder. He's just a better-talking, more positive version of Pardew at the moment. He hasn't proved anything beyond that.
  19. Their best player last year was Coleman and that's a Moyes buy, although he developed a lot under Martinez. Their entire defence was Moyes. Mirallas, one of their best players, also a Moyes buy. Let's see how things play out from now but I don't think he'll do as well as Moyes.
  20. Yeah but Moyes rebuilt a team. Martinez hasn't done that. He's still playing with Moyes' team. These are Moyes' players. Let's see his transfers and how successful they are over the next two or so years. Kone already looks like money down the drain and Besic might not make it too.
  21. I think he is a very good manager. Everton had a very good season last year, already forgetting that? They're in terrible form right now though. Many people here pointed out that it'd be very difficult to repeat Moyes' success and was called a bunch of names for preferring him over Martinez. It's certainly looking like they'll have their worst finish in many, many years. There's still lots of time, obviously, but it doesn't look good.
