Xisco joins Deportivo on loan until the end of the season
dcmk replied to LoveItIfWeBeatU's topic in Football
Said it in another thread, there seriously could be a possibility that we aren't playing him because if he steps onto the pitch, it would trigger a installment we have to pay to his former club. -
Why isn't he criticizing the real s*** at the club? Or better still just dropping them? Who can he drop them for? you cant honestly tell me that Xisco wouldn't have done a better job than Ameobi on Sunday, no matter how off the pace he is. Over the course the season N'zogbia was generally benched behind Duff and when Barton was fit, Butt kept his place ahead of Guthrie. Baffling tbh Kinnear played Ameobi even when he wasn't 100% fit. I'm beginning to believe the rumour that if Xisco makes another first team appearance we have to pay a sum of money. Either that or he is an abysmal player in training. When Smith is back, we won't hear of Xisco ever again tbh.

His answers were vague seems pretty pissed off about something. The bit where he says 'I think the club wanted the money in the end' speaks volumes imo.
-
You are so right I think if we got Houllier we wouldn't be happy for long. His transfer record was atrocious, his tactics unbelievably negative and towards the end of his Liverpool rein a lot of reports about losing the dressing room and the supporters were willing to drive him back to France. On the other hand anyone is better than JFK. My vote would be Shearer and i wouldn't complain either if shock appointment of someone like Chris Coleman or Roy Hodgson.
-
I can't tell if your joking or not
-
Off the top of my head love\loved watching the following: Given Del Piero Pirlo Ravenelli Bergkamp Shearer! Rob Lee Les Ferdinand Tino
-
The club has been a laughing stock to other fans since Souness's appointment. We just stumble from crisis to crisis. 'Cockney Mafia Out!' gave supporters of other clubs a good laugh.
-
You noticed in the article the words 'sense of unity at the club now' its nailed on JFK is getting a longer contract in my opinion.
-
I'm more curious how Kinnear is allowed to speak about transfers but Keegan wasn't. Do people still remember the press release that came out after Keegan left outlining the do's/don'ts of his role. Seems Kinnear can do whatever the hell he wants.
-
They shouldn't punish him for that as it is quite likely he was hunting down the cockney mafia.

The Newcastle United Transfer Thread: D-Day [Spoiler: Not Much Happens]
dcmk replied to LooneyToonArmy's topic in Football
Havn`t paid too much attention, but wasn`t he going to cost 8mill ? Also had a long standing ongoing pelvic problem ? Failed medical. I`m glad would rather save the money for the summer, weather it be to get us promoted or if we survive to carry on building. He would have failed here 5 games in with that price tag anyway. It was reported on Setanta the second the deal fell through. Setanta aren't the most credible mind. -
I really don't buy into this view that the media coverage of other clubs is alot more favourable than ourselves. I mean take for instance Mark Hughes - he very very nearly got sacked over Christmas. The whole of the media was all over that story, and they were counting down the days. Another example Paul Ince, it got to the point where it was a bit of a witch hunt against him - the big topic of conversation every Gillette Soccer Saturday without fail. Juande Ramos was another one. There was alot of pressure on Zola until recently and they are a 'Landan' club until he turned the results around certain quarters wanted him out. I reckon this anti-Newcastle image is bullshit for the most parts, sure there are some journalists out there like to see us go down, but it's same with every club and who cares. Newcastles form has been shocking both home and away, being relegation candidates is justified. The bookies know this and the tabloids know it.

So Micheal Johnson fails a medical now? Where do these journalists get their information from? I wouldn't be at all surprised for that to have been leaked out of St James Park. -
I agree with you completely, but you probably upset a few people on here. Tin helmet time.

Blackburn don't have the support that we do, the shame! I can sleep soundly tonight in that knowledge.

Nice post. The biggest issue is Kinnear imo. I'm praying he's replaced at the end of the season, hopefully once we've survived. What Llambias brings to the club is beyond me, he has no background in football by all accounts yet he's running the whole damn party (allegedly). Perhaps there's a giant casino going up and noones noticed. Maybe the whole club's run like roulette? Black - we go for Hitzfeld Red - we go for Rijkard No colour - let's make this interesting and go for Kinnear ha ha ha ha * Spinny spinny spinny * * Kerplunk * f*** me, what were the odds of that happening, Dennis? Old washed up Joe it is, then! Now on to transfers..... I reckon we rolled black but fucked up the negotiations with Hitzfield http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=liyynGpMls0

I doubt he will even play. The guy is so overrated, didn't he get a award in Serie A for being the worst player?
-
Lucas has won every header against Fellani
-
Moyes wouldn't come here. You can say he will have money to spend but the fact is we are a selling club at the moment.
-
What a load of BS that is, didn't finish reading it. Not bitter are we? Primary reason for buying a keeper - to stop shots. Given does that IMO the best in the league, and has been outstanding his entire time here. He therefore would be an outstanding addition to any side... O weren't we a top 4 side with him in the team i seem to remember. He wasn't good enough for us then? We should of signed van der Saar when he wasn't impressing at Fulham perhaps.
-
Wasn't really like that, tbh. Newcastle were the worst I saw, and even though the game was still a mystery to me, I knew that there would be ample time to learn the ins and outs of the sport while they struggled. Once I ended up here and had instant access to team developments, that's when the love really started. As for the sport itself, that Liverpool-Milan final was unbelievable, man. Which one?
-
One assist all season.. He has two, joint leader of our assist charts too. In 14 starts and 4 sub appearances. I can't even remember how many games he played left back in.
-
As far as I know he's still with Turkey. Ah after looking wikipedia, I got confused with Aragones who's managing Fenerbahce now.
