  1. If you have a spending cap for fairness, it would surely be better to anchor is against the revenues of the top clubs. That way those outside the big six can speculate, if they have the funds from elsewhere, to try and disrupt the top. That way your still stopping a ridiculous overspend by a nation state, but also making it possible to compete with the big clubs.
  2. That's still one game. Brentford beat City twice last year. I am absolutely certain Chelsea will be nowhere near the top 4 this season. People think 18 months of rubbish form is just going to change suddenly. It's not, it's a process they going to have to go through. They'll do well at times, because they have a lot of great footballers, but they'll regularly underwhelm, because there are much bigger issues within the club.
  3. They were beaten 2-0 at home by Brentford three matches ago. What form is that?
  4. I think Havertz is much worse. Which if those two challenges is going to cause serious injury?
  5. We've already taken various advantages from our owners though. Such as our various large PIF owned sponsors. But they're ever tightening the net and restricting what we can do. It's all about making a closed shop.
  6. I would say because it's a continuation of rules being put in place to stop any team from ever being able to challenge the "big 6" clubs. No club is ever going to organically grow to compete with them anymore and there is increasingly no way for owners to help clubs to challenge them. So it's just a closed shop.
  7. My general feeling is that the premier league has done everything it can to stack the cards against us, and will continue to do so. We should take every advantage that we can that is within the rules.
  8. I see a lot of people saying the goals was definitely a foul for the push, but I notice every single former premier centre half I've seen comment on the issue, other than ex-Arsenal Martin Keown, has said they thought it wasn't a foul. I think a lot of pundits just want to stoke the controversy so they something to talk about until next weekend.
  9. If you watch the video, his right leg does connected with Longstaffs leg. Not heavily, it might have just been the shinpad, but it does connect.
  10. But Havertz does actually jump forward to block the freekick.
  11. Gabriel has stooped in and when touched has dropped to the ground. It's soft as shit from Gabriel and that isn't Joelinton's fault.
  12. Not sure if you're aware, but just FYI, football isn't a non-contact sport.
  13. It is only right now, at 40 years of age, I've learnt it's not 'just desserts'.
  14. If we could have gotten deals worth that much without PIF connections we would. We're taken advantage of PIF as much as we can within the rules, but we're abusing it as much as we can.
  15. I mean, we have suddenly got huge deals on our sleeve sponsor and shirt sponsor from PIF owned Saudi companies.
  16. I bet it's the american Dennis the Menace he's thinking of.
  17. We're going to beat Chelsea in the QF, beat Liverpool in the SF, and then lose to Port Vale in the final.
  18. Literally not allowed to. Max we can do is fine him six weeks wages I think. He could agree to a pay cut of course.
  19. Head to head goal difference? What happens if three teams all end up on the same points and each team has beaten another team twice? So Team 1 has beaten Team 2 twice, Team 2 has been Team 3 twice and Team 3 has beaten Team 1 twice?
  20. Done on head to head, not goal difference. Dortmund beat us, so they're above us.
  21. We only had an xg of about 3.5 in that match I think.
  22. There are so many better French players that have played for us missing there.
  23. Wilson is a goal every 61 minutes. They're the best per 90 goal scorers in the league, even compared to Haaland. On xg too.
  24. Fourth behind Man City, Arsenal & Liverpool (behind Liverpool by 1 point). One point above Man Utd.
