I do kind of like the idea of Santon on the right wing and Ben Arfa on the left but we'd be screwed at left back if that is the case and there still isn't huge evidence that Santon can play on the right wing. Let's be honest here if we get go 4-4-2 the wingers will be Ben Arfa on the right and Jonas on the left which will just not work. 4-3-3 is the way forward for me. Makes the best use of our squad.
-
Who would play on the wings? Great striker options though.
-
Technically this is about the twelfth transfer window since we first tried to sign Gomis.
-
Unless I am reading that wrong they are playing Fluminese in Brazil. Not Brazil themselves.

He's an agent AND he's itk. Oh my god this must be happening.

I thought it was quite hard to work out "24 home goals is a shocking stat really for a team with a pretty good home record in general" implies that we generally did well last year despite scoring only 24 goals in my opinion. Why would I assume that one part of the sentence is about this year in the next part about last year. That isn't clear at all.

Let me guess - Ryder, transfermarkt.com. You're actually right as well.
-
We lost 9 games at home last season. Where does that fit in relation to my post? Presumably that indicates we didn't have a pretty good home record.
-
If he wants to play 4-4-2 then we need to sign about 3 strikers, 2 wingers.

That photo from Andymc1 was definitely a game changer like. Don't think it would have been resolved within 2 days without that being all over the press... I still don't see how that is relevant to any of this. It's not like he has ever claimed to be the perfect muslim who follows quaran to the word. He just has a faith/moral problem with Wonga. How does the fact he's pictured in the papers gambling change any of that? Only thing it changed are the opinions of some simpleton fans who never understood the real problem to begin with. More likely it's down to Pardew being back from Portugal and having a chat with him. The timing is too coincidental for me... You could say it's as much as a coincidence with Pardew and the squad returning to England.

may have involved aliens kidnapping Cisse and replacing him with a pod person.

Does Colo give him a little punch at the end? You can't really see it on that but I thought it looked like in originally.

It's not a trial in September (I made that mistake myself). In September they will either charge him or not and then he'll face a trial (I presume that's what the process is). I'd have thought we'd be able to consult various legal people and get a decent idea on how likely it is that he'll get charged.

For those who are interested in what "the moose" has to say. It seems that his source who is "very reliable" has told him that Loic is probably going to Newcastle and a fee "may" have been agreed. QPR were waiting for Hooper, who was in turn waiting to see if West Ham would come in for him. The problems are that a) he says that Loic is going to Newcastle and then says that a fee "may have been agreed" which is rather suspect. b) that QPR were waiting for Hooper to agree because it was confirmed a while ago that Remy has a release fee by the QPR owner and so they couldn't make us wait, unless we're trying to get him for less than the release fee and c) "the moose" has never had a transfer exclusive in his life. Seriously, CWarris has a better record.

Do you think Journalists get punished by their editors (or whoever it would be) when they write poorly researched stuff like that?
-
I don't know how they let that man on the radio. He also doesn't like Keegan which makes him an extra big bellend.
-
I missed the original article but from what I can read in the link, have they changed the whole story from he won't play in the game against Man City, to he will in the matter of an hour?
-
It'll be interesting to see how he does. When he was out on loan the season before last the general impression given by the fans was that he was good attacking but not good enough defensively (and I think got played on the wing mostly at Sheffield Wednesday). Perhaps he has matured defensively over the last year though.

Teaches me for not following the link.

Looks like he played for them in a friendly against Birmingham last night. https://twitter.com/geordiealex/status/360002046100910081/photo/1

It finishes two weeks today.
-
There's no need, he's made a career of defending, himself.

That makes no sense.
