Ah, now reading that carefully there is no mention of Wenger actually wanting Nolan - only that he needs a combative midfield player and Nolan has done well in the Championship. Still, he would fit in very well with their high tempo, one-touch style of play... No mention of wenger wanting him? Were you expecting direct quotes from Arsene on how Nolans dynamic play would have a positive impact on there success and would be one their main targets this summer?

this is the nolan link http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Arsenal-lining-up-8million-summer-bid-for-Manchester-City-goalkeeper-Joe-Hart-after-his-impressive-loan-spell-at-Birmingham-Exclusive-article395641.html

I thought that Williamson was more solid than him last night. Colo was good but he got us in a bit of trouble once or twice by trying to overplay it. I appreciate a football playing centre back but he does need to realise sometimes you just need to hoof it.

No but it might give them strength of a bear.

The sky commentator even called him the best player in the championship. About time someone realised it.

it reads like she's comparing apartheid to Carroll punching Taylor.

Portsmouth FC in yet more trouble - administration again?

It happened to Southampton (it might be a different club) didn't it? They were given a points deduction but it only ended up applying the next season because they were going to be relegated anyway. -

Uncanny impression. Alistair Mcgowan eat your heart out. -
I do agree with that (somewhat so) but I do think we need to plan for the future now. I don't think Ameobi is going to benefit the side in the premiership what so ever. Carroll and Ranger may not either but we need to try and develop this season to see if their potential will go anywhere with some more regular football. We know we aren't going to spend big next summer for a good striker (fair assumption I believe) and so we need to use the resources we have. Currently we have two decently talented young strikers who maybe could be prem strikers. I'm not saying drop Ameobi and say bye bye but giving the other a fair crack of the whip is important and to say that the idea of playing Carroll ahead of Ameobi is somewhat ridiculous is not true and really quite condescending.
-
He did score goals in the champions league but Carroll has never been given an opportunity in one of the most attacking teams in europe and in one of the best teams in the premiership has he? So you don't think a 21 year old Shola is capable of more than 4 goals in this league? A 26 year old Ameobi got 0 in 6 matches in the Championship.
-
wtf? It totally answers your question. You think that Carroll will be a better player than Shola because the latter didn't develop properly? What absolute nonsense. Wow, it must be difficult being as amazing as you.

I am so, so sorry for you It's not that bad if you never leave your house. But then I also work in Slough. It's a rough life. http://to55er.files.wordpress.com/2009/10/brent_david.jpg ? I never thought about that but it does fit quite well. He's actually making a film named after the area I live in. -

Because we know that Ameobi developed poorly? Whereas Carroll still has time to develop? I'm not even much of a Carroll fan but the argument is pretty clear.

well I live in Reading and have been walking in snow up to my knees all day and the temp is below zero and not supposed to improve. Even the gritted roads are really slippery. -
when was that seven bells statement? I've never heard of it before.
