Kitson - He has been awful at Stoke & he is a ginger so I doubt anybody would of been happy with him joining us on loan. Lita - Has done nowt for a long time that is why Reading loaned him out & did not renew his contract, so I dont think people would of been happy. Bent - If that's Darren aye That's why I say at the start of the season. People, me included, were desperate for signings due to the threadbare nature of our squad. We got Harewood - he's no world beater, but he's better than what the smoggies have ended up with in a comparable market. I think we should extend the loan on the basis that he's pretty much the best we could hope for at present.

I was thinking about this yesterday. People would have been pretty pleased at the start of the season , I think, to have seen us go for the likes of Bent, Kitson or Lita. They looked much worsre than Harewood though. There is a real case for keeping him on, especially as he is coming into some kind of form.

Bit over the top that like. He's a grand keeper at this level, and a passable one in the Premiership. It's utter drivel. The lad has been excellent all season and has bailed us out on numerous occasions. Ok he's not Dino fookin Zoff but he's the least of our worries if we go up. Heard him on the wireless a few times mind and he talks like he's about to cry. Not my favourite trait

It's horses for courses so I'd say yes. We need strength in depth and he affords us that in our forward line.

I can only imagine Simpson had a knock and was on the bench for emergencies (dire ones) only. This assumption comes from the fact that he has been first choice for some time and when Enrique has been injured in the past he has slotted in Simpson at LB. We often criticise decisions without knowing their full context.
