It's on USA, just came across it flicking around

Think Blackburn just need to win the game, they're on 66, Millwall on 68, assuming the scruffs don't win. Which on relflection, they almost certainly will. But only after going a goal down first as usual. Cov at Boro also a big one for Coventry anyway

Millwall vs Blackburn the one to watch in the champo?

Newcastle United vs. Arsenal: 07/05/23 @ 4.30pm (Sky Sports)

If I knew we were going to produce what we did against Man Utd, or parts of the other 2 recent home games, I wouldn't be worried at all. -

They can get to 73 points so yeah, technically we need 9 but that's the absolute worst case maximum -

That's a bit like I felt before Spurs, felt confident. I'm a wreck the day like, we're so close now man -

Spent half the morning on the bog. I badly want us to win. If we do happen to lose, so long as it's a barnstorming game and we lose fair and square, no VAR or refereeing bullshit, I can handle it. My fear is that for the league overall, I can't escape the fact that an Arsenal win keeps race for 4th and title race alive, so i'm terrified the officials are gonna fuck us. -
Does this game go to ET then pens? Not sure how it works down there for their playoffs
-
Northampton in almost the same position they were last season, needing to win their final game at Tranmere. Last year the Elliot Anderson-inspired Gas pipped them with that mad 7-0 over Scunny to overhaul them on GD. Quite crazy the same thing could happen this year if they don't win, Stockport can pip them. Win and they're in though.

The Europeometerâ„¢ (2024/25) - NUFC Qualify for Champions League
LionOfGosforth replied to Rich's topic in Football
Yeah I mean i'm not going to pretend that it isn't slightly more precarious than it was a couple of weeks back, especially if we lose tomorrow and that could happen, last chance saloon for Arsenal. But howay man, the form we're in, I feel very confident and Liverpool getting jammy single goal wins 4 games in a row doesn't change anything, we're a great, confident side. -

This is about where i'm at and i'm a pessimist most of the time. Honestly, a draw tomorrow isn't a bad result at all if we follow it up with a win over Leeds. Those 4 points would have us almost there. -
Pity they didn't play Liverpool instead of us that day, the one time everything clicked all at once for them
-
I hope so but Villa were pretty shite today and their season is dwindling to nowt
-
Each of their last 3 games all should have been draws. Instead they've snaked 3 single goal victories, We could have had a 10 point lead for fucks sake
-
Think @Disco takes most of the plaudits here
-
Thought they might even lose today if Brentford showed up. Useless wankers and Frank can fuck off as well, noncey cunt
-
We knew this would happen, it's why we've always had to just do it ourselves. Makes the home defeat to these horrible bastards so much more painful
-
Glad I didn't bother watching, same old shite
-
Can't bear to watch it or hear about Liverpool getting more VAR/officiating help today. Gonna take the dog for a 2 hour walk and hope to come back and hear all about those fuckers losing hilariously.
-
Villa lose. They're better than they were but that's not saying a lot. Lot of the ball, did fuck all with it, Wolves played it like a cup tie.
-
Chelsea safe from relegation, great season

Very interesting thoughts and I agree to a point. On the charisma thing, I think Eddie protects himself (and the players by extension) by being cool and calm and calculating in every media interview. He keeps emotions well out of it and manages interviews really well. It doesn't lead to any true insights, I suspect he is very different on a personal level and off-camera, but yeah, his interviews all sound broadly the same. It won't win him any charisma awards but at the end of the day, I think it's a self-preservation thing and keeps controversy far away. Besides, in the charisma stakes, who can beat SBR saying "our tickets are selling like cream cakes"

Spicy at Wolves, Villa camped in the Wolves half, plenty or argy bargy
