Totally agree. He may occasionally be a bit clumsy in possession if you want to nitpick one of his flaws, but you soon notice the difference in our midfield when he isn't there

The man learns his lessons. Spoke about it in the pre-match thread. He (or the players) got it completely wrong in this fixture a few months ago. Just knew he took every possible lesson from that and would apply it today, regardless of how the game turned out. He's methodical and intelligent and that's an understatement.

No wonder Maldini wanted him so bad. Well worth the long pursuit, incredible buy, huge character and a massive reason we currently have such a brilliant defensive record. Man, between Tripps, Bruno and this lad, we've managed to sign some brilliantly talented players but with huge character too.
