NM I think you are too hasty to write off KK as a manager. You seem to have taken the press line lock stock and barrel that he is destined to fail without giving him any chance at all. He has only just got his feet under the table FFS. You make the massive assumption that Ashley has took counsel with some lads at the match in his appointment of KK (another journo line, that one). Get behind the club man, anyone can sling shit, its dead easy, especially when the press are loading up the bullets for you to fire at your own side. Doug.

Talking of sponsors, I forgot even ours are doing s**t aswell as the team. If the mancs win today my fixed odds coupon is up. 52 quid, watch the buggers go and draw just to spite me. City have took the lead!! It will be worth 52 quid to see them spoil the day. Noticed the man city fans have just pinched our chant, ,fergies right your fans are Sh**e, lol doug.

How as he been out of it? He will have watched games during the last 3 years being a football man just like the rest of us. You are preaching to the converted with me. Doug

Jesus F****** Christ!!!!!!! I hope you really are in Brazil. If so do us all a favour and dont come back please. Doug.

The main ways the game has changed for someone coming back to work in it is that the net is now cast globally instead of locally when looking for talent. also that talent is now looked after on the pitch as foul play is being eradicated to allow skillful players to prevail over dirty players. (about time too) Diet and fitness is probably improved but all these things can only be of benefit to a man like KK Forget all the mischief about tactics being new. I,ve never heard such rubbish spouted about formations etc. The pro game has always been about attacking and defending as a unit no matter how you like to quote weird formations. Roy Mcfarland and Colin Todd would easily excel in any of todays sides also as a centre back pairing because they were good footballing defenders. Doug.

Based on what evidence, exactly? Scunthorpe, Liverpool,Hamburg, Soton, Newcastle x3, Man city, Fulham & England If he started at 16 he is now 56 that makes 4 decades at the top of his trade by my reckoning. What are you trying to say NM, do you not want to give him a chance to succeed then. Anyone can spew out notes saying how crap we are. We all know that. We have to give the bloke a chance to put it right. Doug. Doug

Despite his undoubted talent, Barton is not fit due to lifestyle related issues leaving him a yard off the pace. Like many of our squad, this inability to keep up with the pace of the game has contributed to our downfall this year. Doug.

Butt should certainly be dropped, Carr has to be second to Beye. Smiths workrate before Viduka especially away from home. Faye has to be centre back instead of Cacapa for me. Cacapa will be overwhelmed as he does not have the strength, stamina or pace to survive against the relentless onslaught the mancs bring to bear. Taylor and Faye will at least offer some physical resistance which gives you a fighting chance. Doug

For me it is because Enrique seems to be a slow, one footed plodder who has great difficulty in reading the (English) game. Whereas Carr has deteriorated into a slow not quite as one footed plodder who can at least read the game even if he is off the pace. This just gives him the edge IMO. N,zogbia will have to play their next week. Doug.

FAO Beyewatch and like minded souls. We have to desist from attacking the manager, He simply has to be given time. KK has a wealth of experience which has only been enhanced with age. Do not fall for the media peddled line that he does not understand the game or is out of touch. This is precisely how they want their poisonous intent for our clubs demise to be spread by planting these spurious opinions within our own ranks. You are doing their work for them. Shake yourself out of it and get behind KK for the rest of this season. If we can stay up you will see him work his magic next year with Ashleys backing and we will enjoy making the press eat their words as he puts us back at the top where we belong!!!

Beye, Faye and N,Zogbia are the only starters for me (2 missing today). We cant even include Given anymore as even his game has suffered under this pressure. Don,t blame Keegan he can,t do anything but motivate with what hes been left with. He is doing what is called rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic at the moment whatever he does. doug.
-
I cant believe I,m saying this but Carr hasnt been too bad in the last few games really so he was probably in on merit today although Zoggy would have played left side if available. Enrique looks too one paced and one footed so I dont get the fuss over him anyway. Doug.

Sorry about the statement of apathy, its just I am too pre-occupied with our predicament. But I will say that Bentley is going to be a major star for england if given a chance and we should get him in the summer if we stay up. is that better? Doug.

Who gives a smeg.

Dead right, this thread is raising doubts at precisely the time that Owen may be coming back into form. KK,s motivating effect was visible in some of the teams forward movement against boro for the first time this season. Don't forget he almost had a hat trick too but for a bender of a corner kick and a noncontact foul on a Gulliver type goalkeeper.. Doug.

Unbelievable at this stage of the new managements tenure. Talk about not getting a chance. Doug

Curtis Davis just limped off for Villa. Looks doubtful for next week Shame Doug

Looks like Fulham are going to beat Villa deserve it to from what I can see Doug

No good blaming the officials, A good team keeps the pressure on a puts the ball away again and again. They rarely dissallow all of them. The other lot scoring just becomes a consolation goal then. Its a cliche but a good team makes its own luck and does not need help from officials or to blame them. Fingers crossed we can limp through this season with our premier league place intact and then see the good side formed next year. Doug.
-
Some of us have been saying that about Butt since the game at Derby which would have been his last game in a newcastle shirt if I had been manager. Doug.
-
This whole thread is a bit pointless really, perpetuating the medias hysteria. I dont think Keegan or Shearer are really bothered about any of the made up statements attributed to them. I agree Paul Hart will be good for the youth structure . A greater loss to Portsmouth than 'Arry' would have been. Doug.

Jimmy Greaves said that Emlyn Hughes was living proof that you could fool all of the people all of the time which suggests that he thought he was a C**t aswell. Doug.
