Not Viduka ! Santa Cruz would be perfect if he could be prized away from Blackburn

I think we are now wise to the press on this forum now and wont believe their shit stirring anymore. All that has happened since the Chelsea game is that KK has dampened down over expectation for once so that we dont get carried away any more. A trait that has put too much pressure on the team over the years. His sensible assesment to nip it in the bud is already being spun wildy into armagedon by the press. So here we go again with the season not even over yet.
-
I cant argue with any of those listed so far but I would add Viduka, Geremi and Butt. If KK gets the funds I can see him being totally ruthless with the present squad.

Brian Cloughs immortal line, "For all his horses, knighthoods and championships, he hasn't got two of what I've got. And I don't mean balls" - Referring to Sir Alex Ferguson's failure to win two successive European Cups.
-
F*** him, let him retire with Cloughies jibe that he could only win it only once haunting him to his grave.

Either of the Liverpool grounds used to be horrible but mainly because of the evil scouse coppers who treat every fan like a criminal and to this day still carry those great big sticks. Very intimidating.

Why the spiteful title This thread would get the response you seem to be looking for on the SMB. Why don't you go on there.

John arne rise oo ah I wanna know o ow how you scored that goal !
-
He took the chance well, it has to be said

This is all so encouraging to read. Newcastle truly United is going to be unstoppable. The critics will be blown away by this type of solidarity because the shit they fling will be so much harder to stick without willing recipients on our side.
-
He has proved me wrong. I did not rate him at all but it just shows what a run in a side playing with confidence can do. We are seeing his true potential now. The same can be said of several of the players really since Birmingham away

Herbert Lom would make a good Avram Grant I think

Calm down a bit. He played well in that game at Villa park. I saw him in it and I'm not making things up.
-
Did you see him play for Portugal at Villa park against England. No one could watch that and say he was not a good player. He gave a masterclass in the art of the playmaker.

When I copped a ball in the b******s for the second time directly after contesting the bounce up from the stoppage for treatment for copping the ball there the first time. This was in a Sunday league game a few years ago. Enough to take anyones breath away I can assure you.

Both made more amazing by the fact that not long before Higuitas save highly fancied Columbia had been the first team knocked out of the previous World cup and an irate fan had shot dead the unfortunate full back Escobar responsible for an own goal in the tournament. I would have been too scared to pull off a stunt like that kick. Then Cantona, instead of being shown the door was made footballer of the year!! unbelievable!

Its the first time ive seen this thread, The lad I heard singing 'happydays' must have seen it, Anyway, anything would be preferable than that godawful bootboy song, I cringe everytime that starts up.
-
not Geremi but heard a lad singing to the tune of 'Happy Days' the other day Sunday Monday Habib Beye Tuesday Wednesday Habib Beye Thursday Friday Habib Beye The weekend comes Toonarmy comes, ready to sing to you!! Made me laugh anyway. would of course also fit Enrique or Special K.

whats aston like as an area, i was thinking of going there for uni. i always thought aston villa wsa the posh side of birminghma? Its not a nice place. Birmingham city centre and its ameneties and attractions have been completley revitalised in the last few years and make its centre as good as anywhere, but the signs of urban decay and division of the communities in the suburbs including Aston make it a horrible place imo.
-
It will be great to beat Chelsea. Ill be sadder if the mancs win the champions league as that is the prize Taggart badly wants to win for a second time before he packs it all in.
-
Duff looked good when he came on against Reading It could be that form improves when you slot into a team that is cohesive and playing with confidence. That is what KK is encouraging by praising the other players in the squad. But as we all know from the press and the more learned commentators KK knows nothing about the game so we should not expect too much from his obviously futile efforts.

You may expect to see something like that on an anti NUFC site or a racism website. Those images need to be removed from here immediately if not sooner.

We have a 400 mile round trip. The last thing I want is to miss one second of it after that journey. No way would we leave early to save a few minutes on a 3 or 4 hour drive. Daft IMO. The atmosphere was good yesterday people singing and chanting every few seconds up in the rear Gallowgate where we were. You dont get mass organised choirs like the old days now so its never sustained anywhere. thats just the way it is with all seater stadiums nowadays where noisy fans can't congregate. All things considered the atmosphere was positive, good humoured and supportive, lots of applause for good moves and passes. more than mass chanting.
