    Oba...Obafem

You may expect to see something like that on an anti NUFC site or a racism website. Those images need to be removed from here immediately if not sooner.
  2. We have a 400 mile round trip. The last thing I want is to miss one second of it after that journey. No way would we leave early to save a few minutes on a 3 or 4 hour drive. Daft IMO. The atmosphere was good yesterday people singing and chanting every few seconds up in the rear Gallowgate where we were. You dont get mass organised choirs like the old days now so its never sustained anywhere. thats just the way it is with all seater stadiums nowadays where noisy fans can't congregate. All things considered the atmosphere was positive, good humoured and supportive, lots of applause for good moves and passes. more than mass chanting.

    Class

Never mind the main picture, what is Father Carras of the Excorcist doing behind KK in his avatar ! Fresh from Excorcising the demons of FSA and Souness from the backroom is my guess.
  4. Its just that those 2 games and Boltons result have probably saved us from relegation.
  5. Hope the Mancs lose but I fear they are going to win the cup this year allowing Taggart the satisfaction of silencing Cloughies jibe that he had not won it twice like him. Its the only reason he hasnt retired yet.
  6. What will he write now. Now that Kevin Keegan is proving him wrong. It really rankles when a pygmy in terms of sporting achievement like him can be given free rein to personally attack the credentials of a footballing giant like Kevin Keegan. Who is he to pontificate to the rest of us that KK does not understand modern football. Samuels needs to look in the mirror and shape up and shut up. The Geordies are back to ram his words back down his poisonous throat.

    Now it's our turn

F*****g press W*****s, we wont forget their attempts to sabotage our struggle at every turn this season. They wanted the bigger story of our relegation than the lesser story of our survival and they have now lost that story. How satisfying that the resolution should come against the media darlings Spurs who are hyped up to the same extent that we are reviled by the press. Lets see how they worm there way out of this impasse now they cannot write of our demise anymore.

    4-3-3 long term ?

whichever formation you end up with it must be populated with with dynamic fit individuals who can swarm all over the opposition when defending and get at and go past people when in possesion. Sadly this will rule out many of our current team, Viduka, Geremi and Butt in particular. KK will know this and will have no qualms making wholesale changes to transform the squad in the close season. We have seen how he can motivate and inspire what he has to work with. We are about to see how ruthless and unsentimental he can be when he is given the opportunity to improve the squad. Fasten your seatbelts for exciting times ahead.
  9. Of course we can get carried away, alot of us thought we were going down until the last couple of games. Barring a miracle from Bolton we are now safe. I have the worst hangover today from celebrating last night that I have had for ages. KK has saved us just like he did last time Bring on next season.
  10. Just seen Mike Ashley after the game at WHL on Sky sports news singing this thread title song with his toon shirt on and clapping his hands above his head like a normal fan. I,m so happy I cant think straight at the moment Safe and Sunderland back below where they belong Fantastic,
  11. We have too many passengers in our team not fit enough to keep spurs at bay for 90mins. Viduka is a stump who cant compete. Take his goal away v fulham and his contribution was nil. Geremi cant cover enough ground either, barton still isnt the box to box player he was as he struggles to reconcile his lifestyle with the demands of being a pro athlete. You need 11 sharp, fit players competing to get anything here and we havent got it with this squad. Spurs will dominate possesion and wear us down.

If liverpool or the mancs had not won a domestic trophy for over half a century they wouldnt have their legions of sycophantic gloryhunters and would therefore never get near 50K fans for a game so yes we are the best by far! We would piss 60K a week if we had a fraction of their success! Be proud of it!

    For Those Who

On the subject of applauding at the end. I was at the Birmingham game on Monday and when the team came over to the fans at the end of the game, several jobsworth stewards moved towards them and stopped them coming over to the away fans. Hats off to Habib Beye who eyeballed the ones who tried to stop him and who brushed past them anyway to get to us and show his respect. Class player and guy.

    For Those Who

    Fair comment, is that better.
  15. Very negative thread. Hard to think of any positive reason for expanding on it that will be of benefit to the cause. Has the starter had a personal confrontation with Terrymac or something like that. doug
  16. Was our best player yesterday pulling the strings from a deep lying role. Forget the player who used to stay on the last man with blistering pace, he is going to be equally influential in more of a playmaker role now ghosting in to score intelligent goals from from unmarked positions instead. He was most influential and impressive yesterday. Doug

    For Those Who

There were seven of us in two cars travelling back 200 miles to the midlands. You dont get home until 9 or 10pm anyway so why rush out before the end. Your mad if you dont stay and see it all. I couldnt believe the ten minutes before half time exodus myself, There must be some right alchies among us if they have to miss crucial parts of the game to squeeze ahead for the half time pint. Doug.

    The Spark

Exactly right, plus he is now three years older and wiser than when he was last in the game. Doug.

    The Spark

KK,s optimism lights up the gloom that gets all of us down. I dont know how keeps it up. The motivation and bold tactics were spot on for the Biirmingham game. but hang on, everybody knows that KK does not understand football tactics. everyone repeats this and we are always reminded of it in the papers to so it must be true, mustnt it? Has Viduka

Ive seen milk turn quicker, Doug.

    What worries me

We the fans have no choice we are stuck with Newcastle. As for the team, who do you pick ? players like Viduka with big wage packet who couldnt give a toss, or like N'Zogbia who doesnt want to play for us anyway. These are the sort of problems KK has to wrestle with when motivating a team to put out. 72% of the clubs income is spent on wages for this lot. They should have to pay it all back if they take us down. Doug.
  22. The writing was on the wall since we lost so miserably at Derby and the horrendous 0-3 down in 11 mins to Pompey. Relegation Stats at an early stage. Both under Allardyce. Poor KK has well and truly been handed a poisoned chalice. Doug

    Why can't this be us?

Agreed but more than that, Fitness also. These teams seem to swarm all over the opposition, closing down the space to stifle good players. I do not think we have enough players who can move dynamically or energetically for 90mins. surely this must be the first most basic requirement before you even think about tactics or shape etc. Doug
