  1. I suppose it was unfair to lump him in with... uhh... Lumpard. I just thought Gerrard could have been better. Did nowt when it truly mattered, Portugal game, but tis hard to make an impact with 10 men. Which was Rooney's fault.
  2. The applauding was a cover for the welsh hoolies marking up his Rolls in the parking lot. Smart Welsh twats.
  3. I thought Beckham, Cole, Rio and Hargreaves played well. Lennon showed some spark, Rooney choked, Gerrard and Lampard were atrocious. The rest don't really matter.
  4. I honestly believe that it will make England worse - but I suppose I am pulling a "vic" here because I have no evidence to back that up and Hargreaves has hardly been the backbone of the England team has he. Nah, just the best player for them at the last WC. Sorry, I'm over defending the lad. I wouldn't say he's a crutch, but he's a key player for England. Nah, that was Joe Cole. Really? Debatable. Hmm... didn't hear Joe's name as much as I did Hargreaves in the press (praise wise). Cole played well, but I've got my red and white canadian spec's on.
  5. As a hockey player for the Mape Leafs? Cheeky get.

Poor Stevie was minutes away from cashing in. I imagine there's a broken telly somewhere.
  7. Come to TFC Gooch! More your level!!!

Shame he doesn't play for Canada... any chance of you qualifying next time around? Canada has gone a long while without a manager for our senior squad, and now we're bringing in our U-20 manager as soon as the U-20 World Cup is done. So, it doesn't look good. We need a proper manager, and our football association has it's collective head up its collective ass. With that being said, though, football is becoming more and more popular in Canada. Apparently we have more children playing "soccer" now than we do playing hockey. So, we should have more talented players to choose from going forward. Also, our U-20 squad is not too shabby. Will you be attending the Toronto FC friendly against Villa this summer? Aren't you playing Celtic too? I'll be there, yeah mate. I was at the Benfica game too, boring as hell. Looking forward to the Villa match, I'll report back with pic's and the like.

It could prove to be a Dyer situation with Downing reprocutions. Wa-ha! (Yeesh, *adjusts collar)

De Guzman would be a coup if he chose to play for us, but I think the Dutch want him to play for their national side. I think having the MLS here, which has taken off (support has been incredible), FIFA U20 WC, will generate more interest in the game. We'll never be as good as the US, but I can see us cracking the top 40 at some point in the future.

Poor nan. Especially since it was her grandson who pushed her. Trying to get his inheritance a bit early, no less?

  14. I know. In the end, I have no doubt the pull of Man U was the overriding factor, but due to his reputation with England fans (f****** brutally pathetic that it was), his initial 'dream' was to play in the Premiership. Man U was never part of it, until they made their offer. I almost got laughed out of this forum for suggesting we go in for him when Soumess arrived. I remember seeing an interview with him over here and he suggested one day that he'd like to play for a club like Man U. A Canadian who's dad played for Bolton and is from the Merseyside? Plastic manc tbh. Hahaha... smart if you ask me. Why would he play anywhere else? He's canadian, first and foremost, left when he was young to chase a dream (couldn't blame him) and now it's coming to fruition. Here's one brewed out of your own backyard Calimag, "Don't hate the playa, hate da game".
  15. Has anybody thought that it was a dream of his to play for Man U? This is one of "those cases", Bluf.
  16. Won't miss them much. I like Heinze, but as mentioned, he'll go to a bigger club. I'm in the same boat. I have no love for Manchester United, but I'll be happy to see Hargreaves in the Premiership. I think that Man U were anxious to sign their targets quickly, so that Chelsea didn't have a chance to hijack them, like they've done in the past. Good point, but I think winning the league gave them clout over Chelsea. Then again, the almighty dollars trumps all. I hope Hargreaves deals well with the pressure, but he's always had his back up against it. He'll come in handy in the CL from his previous experience. Could take some time to adjust to the Prem.
  17. You don't know that Vic. I'm sure Sam gave Scotty an idea of the direction he was headed, Scotty thought it over and thought it best to move on. We don't know what happened, though, so you could be right. If it comes out later that he was forced out, then this move is bollocks as is the clean slate comment. I'm thinking it was mutual, though.
  18. Because he's more interesting than half the blokes that post on here? He always offers an opinion, WUM or not. Some are worth responding to and some are not. Howay the Vic!
  19. If Parker wanted out, you can't play that card, mate. well, again that says a lot about the club and Fat Sam tbh, the only c*** who needed persuading left you think Dyer or Owen needed much persuading? Bollocks What? Vic, I honestly don't understand what the f*** you're getting at, mate. If a player is vocal about a change and approaches the manager for it, what is one to do? Persuade him to stay? Fine if he does, but you always know that there is some doubt in his mind. I'd rather do what's best for both parties (If, in fact, Parker did want out) and send him where he can get a fresh start. If he was forced out, that's a whole other scenario. why would he have immediately gone to Allardyce and asked for a move?, that's what you need to ask yourself, and that's why this move stinks What graemeh72 said, Vic. It could have been brewing (the thought of leaving) inside that pefectly coiff'd heed of his for months. West Ham catch wind and it's off to Lardon.

  21. As a fellow Canadian, I'm over the moon for the lad. I've followed his career for quite some time and always knew he would come good for England. I hope he does well in what's shaping up on paper to be quite the squad at Man U. Christ, 50 mill spent and it's June 1st. Have they even shipped anyone out?
  22. If Parker wanted out, you can't play that card, mate.
