  1. Not judging him for giving his opinion... but as the situation unravelled, he needed to apologise, or it would have got out of hand. That's why i said it was the right thing to do.
  2. Got there in the end, didn't we Crumpy.
  3. Who's Barton's agent? END OF THREAD.
  4. Questionable whether he 'means' it... but he's come out and done the right thing. Well done, Jose.
  5. Can only be good news. He's slowly but surely developing into a very good player. As it says in the article though, he really needs to get some goals. And once he irons out the pitiful crosses that occur two/three times in a match - he'll be cracking. Will be a major player for us come next season.
  6. "Duff set up the winner against Watford." I beg to differ. :?
  7. Not going to miss an opportunity to slate him are you? If it's warranted, nope. But I don't slate him that much in fairness.
  8. Liverpool/Arsenal or Spurs/Southend or Wycombe.

    £100m

That was the idea. Brown and Woodgate are both class but they won't make Taylor and Ramage fizzle out of the team.

    Get rid of: Carr Bramble Babayaro Bernard Parker Ameobi IN: Paolo Ferreira - £7m Wes Brown - £4m Jonathan Woodgate - £5m Wayne Bridge - £4m Leighton Baines - £6m Shaun Wright-Phillips - £10m Owen Hargreaves - £14m Kevin Nolan - £11m Darren Bent - £9m Fernando Torres - £30m Given Ferreira --- Woodgate --- Brown --- Bridge SWP --- Nolan --- Hargreaves --- N'Zogbia Owen --- Torres Harper Solano --- Taylor --- Ramage --- Baines Milner --- Emre --- Diarra --- Duff Martins --- Bent
  11. Stinks of Souness does this. He brings back Emre and Duff a game too early, and look - now they're doubts for arguably the biggest game of our season so far. Hats off.
  12. If we beat Chelsea, i'll be getting excited because i think we've got a chance over anyone left in the competition over two legs... But i still can't see us winning it.
  13. If we beat Chelsea and get Wycombe in the semis i'll pap mesen.

    £100m

Someone really big and rich and everyfin injects us with cash and we've got a £100m transfer budget for 2007. Go wild. What do you do?
  15. Seen the squad, and i'm sticking with that. Fantastic that Nobby has returned so quickly from injury... we can save him for Spurs now. I'd probably have him on the bench and start Huntington, just to protect Nobby.
  16. I would like to see us get a keeper on the major cheap in the summer, so that Harper can go and be a number 1 somewhere. Surely it would make as much sense to just keep Pav on in that case and bump Krul to 2nd choice? You mean the 39-year-old (will be 40 next season) who was lumped out of the Premiership years ago and hasn't played a competetive match in ages...? Hmm - it's an option i suppose.
  17. Alladyce: "In the past when that sort of name has been attached to this club, people considered it as something that was never going to happen. "But cast your mind back to Youri Djorkaeff. People scoffed and said he would never come to play for Bolton, but he came. "So did Bruno N'Gotty, Ivan Campo and Fernando Hierro - we've attracted some fabulous players to the club. To be honest, none of them are in Beckhams league in terms of being a "Big Name" player. I'd be amazed if he signed for them and, to be honest, wonder why he'd want to? no-one really has a bigger name than Beckham but Anelka, Djorkaeff, Campo, Nakata, Okocha, Hierro, N'Gotty were all big name players Hierro was Real Madrid captain Aye but most of them were either down on their luck or virtually finished. Beckham could get a bigger club abroad (Perhaps Inter or someone) or a better pay packet at another English Club. I'd be interested in how old Bent Sam would sell it the prospect to him TBH? They took a chance on Djorkaeff and it payed off for them. Fair play. The rest haven't done anything special IMO. 'cept get em into Europe.

  19. I wouldn't put it past Bolton signing him. But i think if he's coming back to England... he'll go to Spurs.
  20. Why would Barcelona have let him go if he was the next Maradona?
  21. If we were going to pay for another striker, i'd be happy with Crouch because i like him and i think he'd work well with Martins. But he does suit the long-ball game, which is my only worry.
  22. I'd like him to come back to England, no doubt - one of my all- time favourite players. But Bolton? Yak.
