  1. I am shocked and appalled.
  2. Souness has had lots of success as a manager. He's fucked up plenty aswell. That is a fact. Personally, i think he'd help Bolton.
  3. More than a few people said that about him coming here Entirely different situation.
  4. I'm really not at all. He crucified us, plain and simply. But he's had plenty of success in his career as a manager - that's a fact - and i think he'd actually do well at Bolton. I think he's got the right sort of attitude to sort them out.
  5. Was very dangerous, according to me dad.
  6. mainly in scotland. his biggest job to date showed just how inept he was/is. Rangers - trophies. Liverpool - trophies. Portugal - trophies. Blackburn - trophies and promotions. Newcastle - fucked up big-time. Never a brilliant manager and utterly hopeless here, but he hasn't 'failed consistently'.
  7. Did N'Zogbia get injured tonight then or what?
  8. Souness has hardly 'failed consistently'. He's won a lot of stuff in his time.
  9. He's the only decent candidate for the job tbh.
  10. Would like to see the man back in football.
  11. I'm actually a bit ITK-ish for tonight's game. I'm fairly sure that we'll see Barton on the bench. I know, hardly a revelation, but i've heard that from an independent source.

    Wes Brown

he plays regularly at right back So does Beye.
  13. Sounds like a fake article to me.

    Martins' Worth?

Can't disagree with any of that. Especially the bit about the movement. When people list his deficiencies, people still say movement, but as i've been trying to say on several occassions this season - it's improved dramatically. Great post. Sums Martins up perfectly.
  15. Actually, i think i'd be really keen to see Geremi down the right-wing. Milner really is fucked, and he played during the international break aswell. I think it would benefit both players and the team - because Jimmy just ain't up to scratch at the moment. Geremi however, well, i honestly can't remember him ever playing centre-midfield in the Premiership, and so far it just looks like a waste of talent. He's a good crosser of the ball so it'd be good to see him down the right. It'd be nice to see him as an actual attacking asset. Consequently, it would offer a balanced - and potentially metronomical - centre-midfield of Butt and Emre. One sitting and one penetrating, each assigned to specific roles, as apposed to the previous combination (Butt/Geremi) mixing and matching. That simply hasn't worked. Can't wait. Especially if Berbatov is out. We'd be more likely to help him break his duck, than help Bent break his.
  16. It's a nice change to have the important players spread out for a change. But when he plays, obviously Owen. I can see Barton being an absolutely crucial player in the long run, too.
  17. We'd probably get our money back if he wanted Carr.

    Wes Brown

I'd have him on a free!
  19. Butt's been shite other than Everton, in my opinion. He's been given this license to get forward, cos there's no one else to do so as we've been without Emre and Barton - but he's blatantly just a defensive mid. Geremi or Butt will improve when one of them is dropped.
  20. Shame how shite he actually was for us.
  21. Lescott was wrestled to the floor for the second penalty, agreed - but the first - nah. He was slightly impeded but i can imagine there would have been play-on elsewhere on the pitch, too. About Kuyt - i'm subject to a mind-change. It'd be utterly stupid to demote Clattenburg. He had a bad day, but he is one of the best and most consistent refs in the Premier League. Our refs are bad enough as it is, we can't be getting rid of our better ones.
