    Andy Carroll.

I am more then willing to give him a (nother) chance..but honestly if he deserves a chance then everyone else in our team does..even Carr, Babayaro, Luque .. Difference is, Shola's actually decent.
  2. Fairly sure he hasn't, and as has been said, you can't make judgements like that yet.
  3. Always up for some healthy discussion. But this is just eccentric and childish and i can't be bothered! Can imagine someone will point out "Da Irony" of my post there.
  4. OK Einstein if everyone is fit how odes Alan Smith get consistent games? Keep in mind they are currently hunting for a top class striker. Who the f*** is everyone like? Louis Saha??? Course he's going to get games, probably quite a few of them cos he's a damn site better than Saha. As usual they will be trying to win 4 major competitions which means squad rotation etc etc. Do you think Ferguson will play the same 11 players and make no substitutions in every game Einstein? Slap yourself three times very hard ... now you are awake. Tell me how you can justify claiming that Smith is better then Saha? What is the most amount of goals each has scored in a season? Smith will never start upfront at Man U and I believe he is good enough to start at a lot of teams and should be doing so in order to improve and become a legit top striker. f****** hell. The bloke's spot on, Kaka. Spot on? Are you saying Smith is better then Saha? All I have siad is that I feel Smith needs to play every week in order to prove he is a top striker, which I think he can become. He will never be a first team player at Man U because he has never proven himself worthy. Everyone is raving about Bentley, but he has done exactly what Smith needs to do. Bentley left Arsenal who were winning everything at the time in order to prove himself at Blackburen and voila! Bentley is now on the verge of breaking out because he plays every week which he never would have done at Arsenal. IT'S NOT ROCKET SCIENCE GUYS!!! Not going to sit here and by ranted at like i'm in school by someone who reckons he knows absolutely everything. Learn some respect, mate.
  5. I know we're all sharpening two-ended stakes as far as Owen is concerned, but i'd still say that was a little knee-jerk. He won't be as good as he was, but i still think he's got a hell of a lot in him. Fortunately, age is on his side.
  6. Not saying you're necassarily wrong, but if that is the case, then i'm concerned. He did well tonight but he's done absolutely nowt for England so far. Let me help you out here ... he is DEFINITELY WRONG! Now, people have slated me, pretty consistently for making opinions and passing them off as fact. You take it to a new level, mate. He's DEFINITELY wrong is he?

  9. OK Einstein if everyone is fit how odes Alan Smith get consistent games? Keep in mind they are currently hunting for a top class striker. No one's denying that. He won't be first choice. Doesn't necassarily means he wants out at this moment in time. And your patronising tone is getting a bit old, Einstein. When did I say he wanted out? I said he ought to leave! Goodness grief ... Yarkshire tone, sorry. I meant the same thing. "You want to get yourself out of that place, lad."

    Andy Carroll.

He's been out for a while, i know, but the last time Shola was playing consistently poor, was mid 05/06 season. Since then, he's moved on from Shearer's shadow, got a 1 in 2 record from that point on and led the line well. He did well for Roeder, but it would have burned out simply due to the boss' tactics. Shola's big but he ain't a long ball fella - one of many reasons for why he didn't work with Shearer. New start for what is potentially a very new Shola. Shut the fuck up and give the lad a chance.

    Bale signs for Spurs

Just pointing it out, that's all. People slate Spurs cos they're Spurs, but they're heads and shoulders above us at the moment. I'd love to be where they were. Anyhow, good - they can have him. We should go all out for Baines or, maybe, Bridge. That guy seriously, seriously just needs to get out of there.
  13. Doubt Ferguson would sell him anyway, unless he made a decent profit, regardless of whether Smith wants to leave or not.
  14. Saw the last 40 minutes so can't comment on an awful lot. Bentley looked good from what i saw of him, Barry looked quite promising aswell. Nice to see Taylor get on and he did well with a couple of big headers. Thought Jagielka was a bit naff. I'm looking forward to that Brazil game.

    Bale signs for Spurs

........to finish 5th yet again. Plateaued out tbh. Would give a lot to finish fifth.
  16. Utterly shit wind-up, Zogster. Jon - don't bite.
  17. Oh whatever. Martins is shit and he's done nowt this season. Suppose we should just get the idea. I read through the 15-page thread the other day and can't be arsed with it again. People ask for too fucking much.
  18. 6 assists is really poor. compare him to rooney who has been the only striker for man utd for the majority of the season. people think martins is so good but all he does is score a goal every few games. compare him to rooney and rooney scores more goals than him and contributes alot more to the team Sorry, i forgot he should be as good as Rooney. Fucking sick of these utterly SHIT Martins arguments.
  19. Get away. Centre-forward man, with Rooney and Ronaldo behind him. Fucking attack-line to die for.
  20. FTR, Martins has 6 assists. Which is alright when he's been the only goddamn striker on the field.
  21. Superb, quality, versatile footballer who would be an excellent signing for £8m. That is really good value for money as far as i am concerned. He can play in two or three positions in a 4-5-1, including centre-forward which obviously, is something that we could do with. Depending on who's here and who's not - Gudjohnsen would always be the superb partner for the out-and-out goalscorer (whether that's Owen or Martins, or both*), we don't know. Because his vision is exceptional and he just knows the game so well. 28, but has had a massively wealthy career so far in terms of picking up experience and whatnot; starting off with Sam, 6 or 7 years with a consistently good/great Chelsea side, and Barcelona. In spite of how good a season he's had, a year or so at Barca won't have done him much harm! Would love to see him here. *When i say both, he often played behind the strikers as one of the advancing centre-mids, a la Lampard, for Chelsea.
  22. For the record, to pick up on something that was mentioned earlier, i'd take Alan Smith any day of the week. The fella has got undoubted quality in my opinion - a very good centre-forward. However, he's someone who i've always just liked. Doubt Ferguson would let him go now, though.
  23. Bellamy when he played. That's only off the top of my head really... I've only ever seen Newcastle at their 'best', when Bobby was here. I wasn't really old enough to understand it all in the Keegan era, and Bellars was definitely one of the most exciting players in the eleven, when he was out there. N'Zogbia last season, aswell - great fun to watch. Though all in all, i'm sure the likes of those two weren't a patch on Beardsley, and i can understand that.
