Well we know what happens now.
-
God we're so friggin clumsy
-
Keep testing this shit keeper
-
I feel like we don't even need to improve that much to take back control and force the issue. Come on lads.
-
Infuriating how we just surrender the initiative so easily
-
There it is.
-
Ergh come on lads. Can see where this is going.
-
He got kicked in the head.
-
Need to test their goalie when we can. Nervous if his kicking is anything to go by.
-
Thought he's looked a threat but impossible to disagree with the low IQ claims. Pity that shit mackem cleaned him out before HT, would've backed him to score.
-
Thought Ramsey started sloppy but been one of our best players since then. Don't want to speak too soon but suits the Bruno role quite well imo.
-
Decent half but goes without saying well e need another
-
Garbage delivery from Trippier
-
We look nervous and leggy
-
A nice relaxing 80 minutes to go
-
Wake up Ramsey son

YESSSSSS

Said it in jest earlier but lots and lots of people in our fanbase assess Pardew with one sentiment: "I actually didn't mind him; he got us fifth." Considering that context... for the knives to come out for Howe - given everything he's achieved - on the basis of a pair of derby defeats, it would just be, hmm. Yeah. You know where I'm going with this.
-
It'll obviously be carnage if we lose. Having them do the double over us would be deplorable, no doubt about it, but hopefully - if that were to happen - all of the context doesn't go out the window just because it's the mackems. I know - NO EXCUSES!!!! - but we haven't suddenly not played 1000 games this calendar year just because our next opponent is our local rivals. It's probably going to be a difficult slog of a game which could go either way.

I'd have expected Tino in but people do talk about Trippier like he's Stephen Carr sometimes. If there's going to be lots of crosses into the area then it makes sense to have our best crossers in the pitch. Tino sure as shit ain't that, and he's generally better on the left anyway.

Not too fussed about Tonali being missing if we're going to be on the ball a lot tbh. Hopefully Ramsey has shaken off that daft error in the Nou Camp and reflects his Chelsea performance.
-
The Newcastle fanbase surrendered it's right to make a manager's job untenable (after a derby defeat) between the years of 2013-16.

Nowhere near the team for me. Understand the argument against a low block, given his close control etc, but if chances are going to be in short supply then we can't have someone who labours to get on the end of them.
-
At this point it feels like we need to win just to keep up. Still think a point isn't the end of the world given all the context and to close off this insane quarter, but could do with three given everyone else's results.

Well we have played nearly 20 more games than them this season and are straight off the back of an intense and bruising trip to the Nou Camp. Everyone involved has already given so much this season and we've had to demand that they just go again and again and again. Something had to give; it did against Man City and it did - with bells on - the other night. It'll take some effort to pick ourselves up again and the annoyingly competent mackems will fancy it. I'm not looking forward to it at all, like. A draw wouldn't be a good result but it wouldn't be a terrible one considering how awful a defeat would be. I'd take us just getting through it relatively unscathed tbh. A loss just doesn't bear thinking about.
