  2. Absolutely love to see Chelsea and their daft cunt manager getting a hiding. Man City out too, lovely stuff. Hopefully Liverpool tomorrow as well.
  3. Sunday is huge in the context of the league, as well as the other obvious reasons. Putting five points between us and anyone in this 7th-14th mini-league is a big deal. Palace don't play and Brighton (also on 40) have Liverpool, so we could put a canny-sized gap between us and three teams, not just Sunderland.
  4. Really keen that we stick to usual 10 KO, as has been the case every time for the last thousand years. Not sure where this woke 0930 chat has stemmed from. Speaking only personally it takes the pressure off a bit in terms of getting up to Newcastle that morning, affording time for a bit of a warm-up and 7 to 8 tabs beforehand.
  5. Very welcome to join us for this, Drewboy. If not for the football, come for the craic either at our game or around the NUFC game in the afternoon. @jcat will vouch for just tagging along for the sake of putting faces to names and a natter over pints!
  6. That's irrelevant because the competition has changed and Atalanta were the last winners of it before it became horribly undermined by the CL expansion. The new format invites PL domination and if Villa win then that's two out of two.
  7. Baseline position is that I'd be very happy for us to qualify for the Europa League. The extent of my excitement would then be determined by whether or not Aston Villa win it this season. The achievement of winning it, from our point of view, becomes evermore undermined each time a PL team wins it. Would rather not be in the Conference League. Obviously it would never happen but I'd find it really interesting if that place was occupied by the EFL winners rather than EFL Cup winners.
  8. Ridiculous booking, was in complete control of that tackle
  9. The opening post rams home just what a task this is. Can't in all seriousness predict a win but I know the lads will do us proud, and you never know.

    @Wullie here it is mate
  11. Pretty sure we've done 10-11:30 plenty of times and it's always fine. Affords a wee bit of wiggle room to those coming from further afield too. If it's a three-teamer we'll have three ~25 minute matches.
  12. Fantastic news, look forward to meeting you. Looks like we'll be heading for a three-teamer and, if so, the third colour will be white.
  13. 'Chelsea will be fine' is just one of life's truths.
