  2. Aye I've seeded it for years now! We had a game in 2020 which finished about 93-1 so thought it might be time.
  3. With those credentials you'll go straight into the top seeds when I draw the teams. Hope you can join us. Absolutely love getting new faces.
  4. The standard is pretty low but there's some tidy players who regularly play 5-a-side n that. Plenty who only play once or twice a year on these occasions. Hopefully everyone would agree it's very accessible and played in a very casual spirit (though we do keep score for the #banter!) @El Prontonise @TaylorJ_01 can I be a diva and ask that you like the OP? Just makes it easier when it comes to knowing numbers at a glance and sorting the draw.

I do wonder how many Newcastle-daft Gen Z-ers there are, at least compared to us Millennials who didn't have/barely had social media at age 9/10/11, and it was Sir Bobby, Shearer, Solano et al. Can remember the first interviews with Hall about his Newcastle supporting-ness and it was slim pickings in terms of anecdotes, understandably.

  7. I feel like it isn't really one of those "If only we'd..." sort of seasons; back in say 23/24, where all we needed was a point at Stamford Bridge and we'd have been in Europe at their expense. We've deserved to be mid-table/upper bottom half, and we've deserved to lose those games, because that's who we are this season, at least up to this point. However, if you're "If only we'd"-ing, I can't look past that sequence of late goals in the early home games. A point against Liverpool, a point against Arsenal, two more against Spurs - and we're right in the mix. Above Brentford and arms length from the CL places.
  8. Villa one win in seven in the league since they turned us over. They're fast reaching a point where they might decide to 'Spurs it', flunk the league and go all in for the Europa. They could feasibly max out their efforts in both and end up with neither.
  9. I think the level of criticism here isn't really worthy of the backlash, like. His stamina is incredible but on the ball he's been sloppy basically all season. No goals and two assists in the PL is a poor return as well. Agree with @Ikon though, he's played a ludicrous amount of football this season which is likely to be a factor.
  10. He's gaslighting, aye? Fucking weapon whatever way you look at it. Will thoroughly enjoy watching them fail under him.
  11. Hopefully you're right cos it's absolutely crucial the academy steps up and it could be a useful device for aiding that progress. Just dunno if Howe will go for it unless he feels they're definitely good enough.
  12. Don't think @TaylorJ_01 has said much that's controversial tbh. I love Sandro for what he's contributed to us, particularly last season, but it's been pretty meek returns this season - though his endless availability is very laudible. He's seldom hit the heights of last season though. I wouldn't want us to sell him but I've definitely felt myself losing patience with him a bit. Hopefully he finishes the season strong and makes me look a cunt.
  13. I can't picture many minutes for academy players in the event we qualify for the Conference League, certainly not if Howe is still the manager (not that I'd blame him or anyone else for choosing not to play kids who aren't ready for first team football). We'd take it seriously because, third-rate competition or not, it's a bona fide trophy and he and the players will want that glory. And if Palace's campaign is anything to go by, if you're not going to be at your best levels, even the fodder can get results with an organised low block. Tbf I'd be a lot more up for it providing Palace don't win; likewise Europa/Villa.
  14. Howe sitting him down at home to Barcelona for the good of the team will be a relief to everyone worried about the supposed implications of "Anthony doesn't really like playing on the right"-gate.
  15. Good morning all. It's a new day, which means it's a brand new opportunity to respect the ball. Don't squander it. Whatever your ball is, get out there and respect it.
  16. Happy for us to Ryan Taylor Marmoush even at the expense of Sandro tbh. I'm using Ryan Taylor as a verb there, in case it wasn't clear.
  17. exactly. Ridiculous hyperbole.
  18. My exact first thoughts. Practically a year to the day too. We were absolutely flying after that West Ham game n'all.
  19. I've always had my eye on the last four fixtures tbh. Have always thought, as long as we're in the mix going into May, there's a great chance. Forest and West Ham will probably be solid mind assuming they've both still got everything to play for.
  20. Said after Villa away (a thousand years ago) that he always pictured himself moving centrally. Love to see him really growing into the role.
  21. he's a great character is wor Murph. Will miss him when he goes, which probably won't be for ages tbf.
  22. What a fantastic result that is. Fucking love these lads and how much they're manage to dig out despite the insane schedule.
  23. Wish taking the lead meant a thing Still, class. Howay the lads.
