It's been clear ever since that Norwich game and thereafter that he's as tactically adept as you could possibly want from a player. A lot of it will be through the clarity of the message too, but he's such an adaptable player.

Just watching Russell Martin's post-match interview. Love it when (usually newish) managers pretend they're not slagging off their team by showing a pretence of accountability. "It's on me that I picked these shit players, it's on me that I couldn't get the message through to their thick skulls!!" David Craig: omg you're so brave for this, Russell.

Interesting watch. I don't go in as hard on our transfer policy as others but you do wonder, given the recent failures, how much we're sinking ourselves into this sort of stuff.

Excluding unknown quantities from the academy, there isn't a team we could put out that wouldn't be landslide favourites at home to a mid-table League 2 outfit. If we can't win that fixture without Bruno and Gordon in the side, then that really does indicate that the players haven't stepped up. Thankfully there's zero evidence to indicate we'd be anything other than utterly professional. I don't think there's much of a cautionary tale with Sheff Wed because we should've won that three times over, and you can easily counter-argue with the 3-0 at Old Trafford, where we had a front three of Miggy, Gordon and Ritchie and a CB pairing of Krafth and Dummett. Cup upsets happen but when you're going hell for leather on all fronts, you take any opportunity to protect your most crucial players. Dubravka Tino Krafth Burn Kelly Tonali Longstaff Willock Almiron Osula Murphy

Wasn't there but have really strong memories of that game. Think it might've been the first time I felt fully 'in' again after the takeover. Would've died if Miggy's curling effort had found the top corner.

Thought the Bruno red was extremely harsh. Madness what players are being removed from the pitch for this season.

Wild carded and got 27. Cracking stuff.
-
Good point, missed that one. Ten home defeats in total then.
-
All competitions. You're correct with that list but he didn't join in February... (lost to Man City in the December prior).

All the very best to you, mate.

Definitely a pen imo, keeper impedes him without getting anywhere near the ball. Memories of Lovenkrands v Barnsley in the famous 6-1 of 09/10.
-
Has the perfect storm of punchable face and plays for Chelsea.

Knock that shithole down. -
fucking fair. Bodychecked Dembele out of a one-on-one, too. What a bloody night that was.
-
Love the idea of Jamaal Lascelles being Haaland's kryptonite.
-
So fucking happy that he feels like 'ours' again, which is something I felt really strongly about last season, with him thriving at Newcastle after all that shit at Everton. Supporting England was fully tarnished for me this summer because it felt like the two people representing this club I love so much were as good as being gone. So buzzing about everything AG10 atm.

Did they mistake it for some version of the actual home shirt?
-
Yeah Wolves looked properly feeble there. Looking like a potentially long season for them.
-
Always seems very humble after the games with us. Seem to recall him asking the Sky interviewer, quite earnestly, if he "enjoyed it" re the 3-3 game.
-
Decision making is truly worse than ever this season. Wild carded to get in all the good Arsenal defenders, Diaz, Salah, obviously Haaland. Gambled on no Palmer and he scores four ffs. Howay Liverpool, I guess.

W: 39 D: 15 L: 9 Under Eddie Howe at SJP. Unbeaten in 86% of all games at home.

After everything since that minging weekend where it looked like, suddenly, he was gonna leave - these past few days have been brilliant. New contract is huge, amazing encouragement from the stands, and a big goal on home soil. Him shagging the fuck out of the badge was a great sight to top it off. Onwards and upwards this season, son. Get in.

Very, very happy with that result! Put Haaland in me FPL so you're welcome.
