  1. Yeah hes still a free agent. I wouldnt want him though. Too old and hes a dirty cheat. too injury prone
  2. Michael Owen losing Bolton match fitness bid Aug 20 2008 by Alan Oliver, Evening Chronicle http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/nufc/newcastle-united-news/2008/08/20/michael-owen-losing-bolton-match-fitness-bid-72703-21567929/
  3. NUFC on the trail of Belgian ace Pocognoli Aug 20 2008 by Alan Oliver, Evening Chronicle http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/nufc/newcastle-united-news/2008/08/20/nufc-on-the-trail-of-belgian-ace-pocognoli-72703-21567932/
  4. There is no way Saviola is on 140k a week. He is just a squad player for them. maybe not on 140k a week but he did sign for them on a free transfer so I`d imagine his wages are sky high.
  5. if Real really want to get rid of him and we wont pay the full 140k I`m sure we would be able to come sort of agreement where we pay half (or whatever of) his wages and Real the other half. At the end of the day they`d still be saving money
  6. I`ve read the fans want rid of John Carver too.....boring hoof the ball upfield tactics etc
  7. Same here......Gallas and Silvestre would be a bit of a dodgy centre back pairing IMO
  8. There are hardly any decent videos on youtube of Jonas...........but check out his official site......there`s quite a bit of footage from his days with Velez Sarsfield, Mallorca and the national team. http://www.jonasgutierrez.com/
  9. NUFC prepare to swoop for new players Aug 19 2008 by Alan Oliver, Evening Chronicle http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/nufc/newcastle-united-news/2008/08/19/nufc-prepare-to-swoop-for-new-players-72703-21558859/
  10. Highly-rated Sparta Prague defender Michal Kadlec looks set to spurn any interest from England to move to Germany. The left-sided defender, who almost joined Celtic a couple of seasons ago, is attracting strong interest from a host of clubs - one of which is reported to be Newcastle, who are in the market for a left-back. However, Kadlec - the son of Czech legend Miroslav, is keen to follow in his father's footsteps, as he spent eight seasons in the Bundesliga with Kaiserslautern. Hamburg, Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen are all to be interested in taking him to Germany. As well as German and English interest, Real Betis and Lyon have also enquired about him - but Kadlec seems intent on his future. "I don't want to be more specific, but everyone who knows me well knows that I would like to play in Germany," he told Denik Sport. "Either Leverkusen or Hamburg or Dortmund, with all those the negotiations are only at the beginning. I stay in touch with my agent Pavel Zika who told me that we would sit down and discuss my future during the international week." http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11678_4011026,00.html
  11. shame he`s not from Buenos Aires otherwise that song would work
  12. I`m sure the likes of Chelsea, Boro and ourselves regretted signing the likes of Zola, Juninho and Beardsley who were abject failures too
  13. well no doubt that Owen being at the club is a big selling point and attraction for when we`re trying to get players to come to the club..........140k is more than fkin excessive though....
  14. What gets me is that if his performances for Mallorca were anything like his debut yesterday it`s strange how his name has not been linked to any `big clubs` before? I remember him being linked with Portsmouth last season but never one of the big guns in the italian or spanish league The first I`d really heard of Jonas like the majority of fans was when he signed on the dotted line for us.....no complaints here like anyway. Seems he went missing under the radar for many clubs......
  15. Fernando Cavenaghi (Bordeaux) Lucho Gonzalez Cambiasso But seriously......this `wow ` signing??? Would you consider Saviola as a wow signing? I`d be very happy with Tiago and Saviola on loan anyways
  16. this was on .cock the other day about season ticket delays http://www.nufc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10278~1367407,00.html
  17. I wouldn`t mind us taking a few more gambles ........get Colo and Jonas on the phone to some of his national teammates;)
  18. what will the papers say tomorrow? luckless `United`? Injury ridden `United` held to draw by Newcastle ahaha fk off
  19. looks like Given is 1st choice again which I slightly disagree with (little in it though). Harper did little wrong last season IMO and took his chance to claim the jersey but it seems Given just walks straight in as 1st choice as usual. Was Harper injured or something during most of pre-season? didn`t manage to follow all the games
  20. don`t see why Van Nistelrooy would be interested in coming to us even if we offered him tons of money (which he will be on anyway with Real). Living in Madrid, good weather, champions league football etc. Not a fkin chance but nice to dream
  21. Oscar Trejo mentioned in the Sunday Sun today. Another Argie and I guess if true he`s be one for the future....seeing how he`s just 20 and scored 2 goals in 20 games last season (i presume as sub) -------------------------------- Newcastle have also made an approach for yet another Argentinian — Real Mallorca striker Oscar Trejo. West Brom maintain hopes of landing Trejo, 20, as well as his club-mate Borja Valero. But Mallorca’s sporting director Nando Pons said: “Newcastle have contacted directly with us and the answer is the same one we gave to West Bromwich Albion: we will not sell.” http://www.sundaysun.co.uk/sport/newcastle-utd/newcastle-utd-news/2008/08/17/toon-fail-in-ruud-bid-79310-21547250/
