  1. inbreeding scummy kunts
  2. What about Shearer 97/98? Like Owen, had just came back from main injuries, like Owen, was playing in a sh*t Newcastle side, and scored 2 league goals in about 18-20 games. Don't remember Shearer getting the same criticism. of course not, he`s a geordie
  3. agreed! he didn't do anything against us Zarate is 21, has come from the Qatar League and has only had a couple of starts for Birmingham. He's nowhere near adjusted to the pace, style and physicality of the Premier League yet. Anyone who has written the guy off already is just being stupid. Tevez was rubbish for about 6 months when he started playing in the Premier League, and i'm sure plenty of people wrote him off then, but look at the fella now. I've been impressed with what i've seen of Zarate so far and i reckon he'll make a major impact in this league in the future (if he stays) he looked a class act when he played for Velez Sarsfield in the Argie league and I reckon given time he`ll be a top class player in the future. The lads only just turned 21
  4. Yossi Benayoun? Not sure how happy he is sitting on Liverpools bench and whether he`d come to us? could do with some creativity obviously or D`allesandro? On loan at River Plate at the moment after falling out with Zaragoza`s coach. We could get him on the cheap ala Ginola (like when he was at PSG). I know he`s left sided but Duff and NZogbia`s futures have been put into question lately
  5. hope he plays against us......he`s usually our 12th man -------------- Ramos Axed Sulking Jenas Spurs coach Juande Ramos left Jermaine Jenas out of the weekend win against Portsmouth as punishment for his poor performance and sulky strop against Chelsea last Wednesday. Ramos Axed Sulking Jenas The midfielder didn't make the squad of 16 against Pompey at White Hart Lane on Saturday - and then found out he'd been axed by Fabio Capello for England as well. In yet another move designed to hammer home that he won't suffer egos or ill-discipline, Ramos decided to leave Jenas out on Saturday because of the way he reacted to being subbed at half time during the Chelsea game. The midfielder had been having a poor game but reportedly acted in a less than professional manner when informed by Ramos that he wouldn't be going back out for the second half. And though the Spurs boss has rejected suggestions that he was involved in a bust-up with the former Newcastle United player, he did confirm that his decision to give preference to Tom Huddlestone on Saturday had nothing to with injuries. "No, he's fine," commented the Spaniard of Jenas. "There were other players in better condition."
  6. Newcastle boss Keegan: Owen my star midfielder Newcastle United boss Kevin Keegan is ready to persist with his latest big tactical gamble - Michael Owen the midfielder! KK said: "I don't see reason to change too much when something's working. In training he naturally comes deep. We kept seeing it and thought 'Wow, this guy can link us up all day long'. "I said to him after the Birmingham game 'If you want, you can play until you're 36 or 37 as a midfield player'. Just give him the ball, he's not going to give it away. And he agreed. "Those sort of players are priceless. I can find plenty who you can give the ball and they give it away. There are thousands. "I remember Johan Cruyff saying to me once 'When I'm playing well, Johan Neeskens is the soldier and I'm the general. But if I have a day when I feel I'm not playing well, I say to Johan you be the general and I'll be the soldier'. "Michael has been both a general and a soldier for us since I've been here. I think you're seeing him now absolutely at his peak after his injury. He's playing a bit deeper, still getting chances and scoring goals."
  7. We may have killed the former Italian U21 captains career & sooperstar in waiting Viana but we launched Bellamy (PFA Young Of The Year 2002) & Jenas (PFA Young Of The Year 2003) . Who was that then out of interest? Pistone he was touted as the new Maldini at the time before he came to us. I remember the time he played for Inter and he looked a class act!
  8. as Keegan seems to only know about the SPL players they must`ve got their wires crossed and been talking about Gomis of Dundee United ....not the St Etienne one
  9. and our former player Marcelino to come back as assistant coach to him as he knows the area and presumably can speak some english after all that time on the sidelines. dream team
  10. QPR move for Newcastle fullback Carr March 16, 2008 QPR are ready to move for off contract Newcastle United fullback Stephen Carr. The News of the World says Republic of Ireland defender Carr played 226 league games for Spurs before making a £2million move to the Toon in 2004. But he is ready to move back to London and is thrilled at the prospect of joining Rangers, who are co-owned by Formula One billionaires Bernie Ecclestone and Flavio Briartore. ----- We would be thrilled too
  11. NOTW mind Allardyce in plea to Toon chiefs Don't sack Keegan By CLIFF HAYES SAM ALLARDYCE has warned Newcastle chief Mike Ashley NOT to sack under-fire boss Kevin Keegan and accused the millionaire owner of being too impatient. Allardyce was sacked in January after just 24 games in charge with the Toon 11th in the Premier League. Sven in for Owen McLeish wants revenge on Keegan But his replacement Keegan is now under threat himself after failing to win any of his eight games in charge and confessing he may not be able save the club from relegation. Bitterness Newcastle have slumped to just three points off the drop zone and face a must-win clash at fellow strugglers Birmingham tomorrow. Bookies have made Keegan hot favourite to be the next top flight manager to get the boot. But Allardyce declared: "Newcastle are destined to be a great club somewhere down the line. But the longer it goes on without success, the harder it is to achieve it and they can't do it by changing managers all the time. "I've no real bitterness over my departure any more. I've moved on. We were finding a way of playing, having changed everything behind the scenes. "The players were still learning to blend. It was a question of patience. It is like building the Empire State Building in a month. It can't be done." The 53-year-old former Bolton manager took unfashionable Wanderers to League finishes of eighth, sixth, eighth and seventh on a successful diet of meticulous preparation, scientific approach and ProZone computer statistics. But in his seventh short months on Tyneside, he was unable to persuade the Toon players to buy into his methods. In an interview in The Times he added: "Perhaps I couldn't sell that to the players because they'd never been shown it before. "All that was said before I arrived was: ‘Go out and play.' But today's game is not like that. Whispers "The level of preparation is so detailed that you can't just say: ‘Off you go, off the cuff.' I was challenging them to adapt and maybe that was a problem I think I gave the players too much too soon. "Too direct? If those players had the ability to look at their ProZone stats instead of me shouting at them, they would have learned more about their game than they've ever done. "They would have learnt something about themselves. I don't know whether any of that played a part in losing my job. "If other people listen to the Chinese whispers or the tittle-tattle, no manager would ever get the chance to build or be successful. "Maybe I should have gone: ‘Sod year two, sod year three, I'll just worry about tomorrow. "But I'm not like that. I try to build something that has sustainability, not a flash in the pan. I don't want to sound like I'm making excuses but how can you judge from seven months?" In contrast, Keegan has been in charge for just 60 days. His eight games have brought no wins, just two draws and six defeats and he has seen his team score just three goals and leak 20. But Keegan is planning to survive the axe and is already lining up an audacious £24million triple summer raid in Scotland for Celtic winger Aiden McGeady, top scorer Scott McDonald and Rangers defender Carlos Cuellar. Winger Keegan has personally checked out 21-year-old McGeady who, although born in Scotland, has already won 17 caps for the Republic of Ireland thanks to an Irish grandfather. McGeady is the current Scottish Premier League player of the month and the left winger is the most highly-valued of the three players, at £11m. Keegan seemed ready to make a bid in January until the club decided to put a block on transfers until the summer. Keegan has also been impressed by McDonald, a £700,000 buy from Motherwell but who would now cost £6m after 25 goals in 36 games for Celtic.
  12. When we were linked with Kalouda I went on a Czech footie forum to ask their opinion on Kalouda..alot of them said Matejovski is a better player
  13. our favourite ex coach Mick Wadsworth is there....course you should care man
  14. Trying to remember if I saw him last year, but haven't a clue. So no does it matter if anyones seen an 18 year old prospect play? you have to presume that the people being paid big wages have watched him enough to see potential you think arsenal fans are sitting there saying "arsene's signed an 18 year old from timbuktu...anyone seen him play?" i read arsenal-mania a bit and that seems to be the bulk of their discussion tbh! wasn't having a go at anyone, just wondered if anyone had seen him play and could tell us what kind of player he is. seems not though. oops, apologitas imagine that...arsenal fans discussing arsenes latest prodigy? the audacity...same as everyone always says when they beat us in the fa cup final, what set of stuck up clueless wankers (apologies ash) nee bother. arsenal fans - nah they're just curious. they have a thread about carlos vela, who hasnt played a game for them, that has been going the same amount of time as a thread about fabregas. the fabregas one has reached 19 pages, the vela one 40 pages (that's without mentioning the separate 25 page thread about Vela which is also going strong)! Vela has been a regular for the last 2 seasons in La Liga and I must say he looks a canny little player
  15. He signed some very good players for us. He should've we were the 2nd best team in the country, one of the richest in the world and in the Champion's League. and those players still took us from that position to mid-table. given time i'm sure he'd have done better but he did a poor job short-term. The football we played under Dalglish was atrocious. He did make some good signings in Given, Solano, Hamman (for that 1 season) but made some equally bad signings like the jobs for the boys (Rush, Barnes, his son etc), Des Hamilton, Andreas Andersson, Lionel Perez...... falling out with Ginola, selling Ferdinand and replacing them sub standard players. Everyone goes on about him taking us to 2nd place in the CL, but that was with Keegans team. The season after was his team......the one where we performed so miserably, playing largely boring negative football and finishing 13th. Hardly his fault Ferdinand was sold though. i know, just replacing him with rubbish substandard players was the issue

  17. we could do with a bit of that South American creativity since Nobby has gone
  18. Jesus Real Madrid fans are worse the Newcastle's, thought he was doing a good job with them. doesn`t matter with Real. You can win the CL and get sacked (Jupp Heynkes ), win the league and get sacked (Capello and Del Bosque) etc

    Has Viduka

KK was recently quoted as saying he only had 3 full days of training since he joined joined as manager........ abysmal
  20. another mention for Collymore. He could`ve been the English Ronaldo if he had his head screwed on right....... two great feet, balance, pace, technique, direct... some foreigners: Dani (ex Ajax, West Ham, PSG) Hugo Leal Kinkladze Michael Bridges......if only for his injuries Rai (Brazilian footballer of PSG, Sao Paulo) Ivan De La Pena Domenico Morfeo Mantorras Farinos Okocha Claudio Lopez Djalminha Darko Pancev Denilson (not the Arsenal one) Marek Citko Jardel Kluivert Alvaro Recoba Mendieta Viana Anelka....if he had stayed at Arsenal how things would be different
  21. anyone at the game to witness this?might be complete bollox but anyways ------------------ Mike Ashley was targeted by angry Newcastle fans yesterday during Liverpool’s 3-0 romp. The most obnoxious attack launched after the third goal where a fan accused him of being stingy and ruining Keegan’s chances of a good team. Another fan who had been drinking hours earlier made a lunge for him but at the end of the day Ashley was targeted and blamed as the fans back former red Kevin Keegan. The game was dominated by Liverpool and angry Newcastle fans are now hoping they avoid relegation and Ashley loosens the purse strings. http://kop-tv.com/go/headlines/ashley-assaulted-by-angry-newcastle-fans/ http://nufcblog.com/2008/03/09/newcastle-news/mike-ashley-tastes-newcastle-fans-venom/
  22. hope liverpool can do something positive for us and give Smith an niggly injury. Nowt too serious, just enough to keep him out for the next 2-3 months
  23. class effort by Martins even though no goal! Thats why he should be playing more, at least he fkin shoots
  24. Babayaro joined LA Galaxy! Former Newcastle full-back Celestine Babayaro has been released by Major League Soccer side LA Galaxy after just one game. The Nigerian conceded a penalty on his Galaxy debut against South Korean side Seoul last weekend, as has been told to seek alternative employment ahead of the start of the MLS season next month. http://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/sport/football/newcastle/latest/display.var.2096871.0.given_laments_the_loss_of_his_lazarus_status.php a return on the cards?
