In the 2nd season the board sold their best players (Defoe, Carrick etc) and didn't back him at all and you know the rest Roeder already had the sack before both of those players were sold IIRC. fair enough maybe you're right, I dont remember. how did he not know? even alot of us knew that and we are not professional coaches with our own scouts (bar FM )!

disagree, I think the more English players ((okay he is 'Canadian' ) experiencing playing abroad the better, it makes them more rounded and better players IMO
