  1. West Ham fans have mixed views on his time there (see Knees Up Mother Brown article/forum). In his first season when the board backed him he finished 7th. In the 2nd season the board sold their best players (Defoe, Carrick etc) and didn't back him at all and you know the rest Roeder already had the sack before both of those players were sold IIRC. fair enough maybe you're right, I dont remember. Even though they got relegated , it was the highest points total that a team has finished with (42 points) Plus he didn't spend a penny in the start of 02/03 season (Hammers fans put the blame with Brown and the board) This isnt the article I was referring to earlier (can't seem to find it now!) but here's a few views http://www.kumb.com/story.php?id=11874

  3. even Stenhousemuir and Cowdenbeath of the Scottish 3rd division have Norweigan supporters branches!, mad here's 1 http://www.stenhousemuir.com/ (it's not the official site before you say)

  5. how did he not know? even alot of us knew that and we are not professional coaches with our own scouts (bar FM )!
  6. where's the quotes directly from him? I know his 'mate', 'close sources' and so on have said it
  7. disagree, I think the more English players ((okay he is 'Canadian' ) experiencing playing abroad the better, it makes them more rounded and better players IMO
  8. Quite the compliment by Juve's chief scout (he is sensible ) HANDS OFF!! Juventus chief scout: Newcastle's Krul the next Buffon Newcastle United have potentially the world's greatest goalkeeper on their books in Dutch youngster Tim Krul. That's the opinion of Juventus chief scout Pasquale Sensibile, who told Tuttosport today: "We keep an eye on all the best youngsters from around the world. "For example, Krul. The Dutchman is the future Gigi Buffon." Sensibile also mentioned Southampton fullback Gareth Bale: "Bale, the Southampton left-back, has already made his debut for Wales."
  9. isnt 'Hoolio' Arca a left back? but the unwashed and Boro play him as a winger?
  10. i think there's only 1 edition now anyway?
  11. How much longer is he injured for? I'm sure he broke hsi leg recently or something? Anyway: "£7m isn't going to touch the sides for Darren Bent," said Pardew. "This is a top-class player in my view. After watching him for just a week and a bit, he's an England player and that's how he should set his goals. My priority when I came here, and when he was fit, was that he was not going to go anywhere, that was categoric. "But his injury at the moment gives us a problem. We cannot afford to have him out of the team for five weeks, so I'm having to assess it and weigh up all the situations and I'll have to do what's right for Charlton. The injury changes things. We are trying to locate a strike to replace him, so we'll see. Certainly the figures for Darren Bent being bandied around are way too low."
  12. plus he's their captain as well. It's a shame Coleman was so adamant at keeping him 2 seasons back ,and we ended up paying almost double for Luque
  13. did you used to watch the French division 2 games or something when he actually got a game? he's barely played for Roma
  14. very Oliver-esque, with a bit of champ man/fm terminology bluebiggrin.gif
  15. would definitely move up here then
  16. apparently he's a defensive midfielder http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ricardo_Faty
  17. took me a while to get Fumaca, the $hittest Brazilian player around that had no skill or nowt!
  18. oops, should've said since the Premiership started bluebiggrin.gif 9 so far
  19. question might've been on nufc.com recently. Some are easy to get EDIT: Since the EPL started
  20. I thought the 'my best friend is black' card would be played Ahmet Bulut, Emre’s agent, last night rejected claims that the player had made any racist remarks during the game. “I spoke with Emre and he said that he never said anything racist to the player,” Bulut said. “His best friend at Newcastle is Obafemi Martins, who is black. These claims are not true. Emre never had any problems when he played in Turkey or Italy and he has never had any problems with other players in England either. “On the field he is an aggressive player, like other players are, but he would never make racist remarks. My English is bad, but his is even worse and he wouldn’t even know these racist words.”
