You do realise that defender was Gavrancic and the deal broke down, so there will be no new signing in the next few hours. Gavrancic was a smokescreen. for Canavarro or Thuram (never gets a game for Barca)
-
anyone seen the back of todays Chron? Sites not been updated yet. See who Anal has ruled out now according to 'his sources'
-
never heard of them but Allardyce has a knack of buying unknowns who turn out to be very solid ,making them into very wanted players ie: Ben Haim
-
Don;t think he'll cost that much is he's a permanent signing or loan even*if these rumours are to believed * Scandinavians normally come fairly cheapish although Agger cost Liverpool a fair bit (was alot younger though with loads of potential)
-
he can certainly chip in with a few goals if his intl record is anything to go by. 4 goals in 11 games for a defender aint too bad 2 days is up Glenn, where is this defender?!
-
only saw him in the World Cup butremember him more for committing that Bramble esque howler against Mexico when he lost his marker which Borgetti then scored from
-
Liege wouldn't let him go out on loan though. He was the player of the year last year in Belgium
-
i'd be happy with that, he's a left back ain't he? he can play left back and centre back but is dodgy and error prone, just what we need eh
-
Steven Reid, but aye that shot looked absolutely ferocious. Was my goal of the season, but I don't know what actually was goal of the season. probably some Thiery Henry tap in that the BBC pundit wankfest got overexcited over
-
rumour in Moanchester is that it's Silvestre
-
if he's a 'top international defender' why is the club letting him go on loan? can't be that great then
-
Outside of the EPL Batistuta, Jorg Albertz and Koeman I remember certainly had hard shots
-
Fortunately Rangers solved that particular one
-
was too weak physically the first time around but has bulked up a bit since being at Milan and Stuttgart. Would like to see him on loan here and he has said in the past he wants to come back here.
-
Run for the hills if he is one of them. erm, Paletta as well. He's been atrocious for them
-
What about Olof Mellberg? If reports are to be *believed* Levante want to sign him for 2m and might be available. I reckon he's a canny defender ,experienced and with half decent leadership skills which is more than we have right now. Might cost a bit more than the reported 2m Levante are offering but could be worth pursuing
-
have any of youse seen much of him? Must say I've no idea how good he is.....all i've heard is the hype that surrounds the fella, is he that good then? Not a Bramble mark II (or is that Anton Ferdinand?)?
-
who would you prefer to see in goal? Harper or Krul? (assuming he's fit)
-
as soon as Ramage was subbed and Edgar came on we were a completely different team
-
Rossi scored the winner on his debut for Parma today btw
-
it's not like Walter Smith wont get another chance to manage Rangers in the near future. The next manager will probably last a season or 2 before he is given the boot as well so he should keep continuing with the good work he is doing with the national team. The Ranges vacancy is almost guaranteed to come up again for the umpteenth time

Inter make a killing from us, are we the feeder club? Pistone, Emre, Martins and maybe this fella bluebiggrin.gif --------------------------------------- Agent reveals Newcastle interest for Inter Milan's Andreolli The agent of highly-rated Inter Milan defender Marco Andreolli has revealed the interest of Newcastle United. Asked about the youngster's plans for the winter market, his agent Patrick Bastianelli said: "The situation is already complex. The boy has offers from abroad, in particular from Newcastle and Marseille, while in Italy there is strong interest from Torino."

Comparison of Managers. Where does Glenn Roeder stand?
LooneyToonArmy replied to Delima's topic in Football
West Ham fans have mixed views on his time there (see Knees Up Mother Brown article/forum). In his first season when the board backed him he finished 7th. In the 2nd season the board sold their best players (Defoe, Carrick etc) and didn't back him at all and you know the rest Roeder already had the sack before both of those players were sold IIRC. fair enough maybe you're right, I dont remember. Even though they got relegated , it was the highest points total that a team has finished with (42 points) Plus he didn't spend a penny in the start of 02/03 season (Hammers fans put the blame with Brown and the board) This isnt the article I was referring to earlier (can't seem to find it now!) but here's a few views http://www.kumb.com/story.php?id=11874 -
