If anything, it's probably one of the best he's done as manager since hanging up his boots. His stock in management could rise even higher if he gets a famous result at Newcastle on Saturday afternoon. In my opinion, rather than being nervous, he will be rubbing his hands at the idea. This, every word. It is ridiculous how some people can't see that defending with 11 men simply invites pressure actually makes it harder to defend and clear your lines. 'Attack is the best form of defense', a mantra that did Alex Ferguson no harm not many other managers. Keegan and Robson both created fantastic teams here using the same philosophy and it was always a pleasure to watch them. That pleasure is utterly gone these days. don't think he's stagnated that much having gotton into the Dutch national team and narrowly missing out on the World Cup but yeah, he has been playing in the Eredivisie mostly the last few years....always wanted us to make a bid for him on the back of his decent performances (ok, limited!) for us. Sunderland might well have made a decent signing but we'll see.
