  1. anyone know our lineup for this match?
  2. On the Newcastle Supporters FB page there were a few Belgians who post there and said he`s not worth the money and not worth going for....can`t say I have seen anything of Mitrovic anyway. Seems to be linked on more than a few occasions so might be some truth in the rumour. I'm Belgian and I can tell you that he would be worthless in the Premier League. He doesn't live for his sport and he's arrogant towards his fellow players. And at the moment, he's simply not good enough for Newcastle. Anderlecht asks about 10 million pounds for him but he's absolutely not worth such a high asking price." Currently in the news because he was overweight, talented boy but a bit crazy in his head. Imo not a player with a decent mentality.
  3. looks like he picked up an injury at the end of the 1st half there....fck
  4. would be an amazing signing but I don't think one of Germany's top talents will be let go for that price. Maybe the Aussie, Robbie Kruse of Bayer Leverkusen would be more realistic

  6. Newcastle fans love Cheryl Cole, Joey Barton and a nice bowl of rice pudding... according to a YouGov survey of supporters' preferences http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2841136/Newcastle-fans-love-Cheryl-Cole-Joey-Barton-nice-bowl-rice-pudding-according-YouGov-survey-supporters-preferences.html?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490
  7. quit as Georgia national team coach following the Poland home defeat
  8. I remember watching him on channel 4's football italia for Bologna RIP
  9. delighted for Perez for that goal.....not just cuz it put us in the lead but it was a big fuck you to Ron Atkinson who was constantly slating him in the first half.
  10. not sure if it was posted before but anyway.... http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/kieron-dyer-lifts-lid-fight-7968397 Kieron Dyer has opened up about his onfield punch-up with Lee Bowyer. The pair came to blows during a 3-0 home defeat against Aston Villa in 2005 when they heaped shame on Newcastle United. Dyer says that it was a personal insult aimed at Bowyer’s lack of ability that pushed him over the edge. The former Toon star said: “We were playing the game, he came short and wanted the ball and I passed to someone else. “He was like ‘Give me the ball’ and I was like ‘I haven’t given the ball away, what you talking about’. Five minutes later he came again and I gave it to somebody else. “And he said, ‘You never pass to me!’ I said, ‘The reason I don’t pass to you is because you’re **** basically’. “There were a lot of swear words. And that was it then you just saw him lose his head. “He said, ‘You what?’ And I said, ‘You heard me.’ “As he was walking towards me I just thought he was going to grab me or push me. “When he was raining the punches in I thought, ‘You need to get on the weights because they aren’t hurting.’ “Secondly, I was thinking ‘I can’t believe he’s doing this in front of 50,000 people’.” The spat continued in the dressing room, and Dyer revealed that Jean Alain Boumsong told the pair to fight it out in the dressing room – before they backed down when Graeme Souness offered to fight them both! Dyer said: “I didn’t know you could get sent off for fighting your own team-mate, so when the red card came out I thought, ‘What the hell!’ “I was sent off first and I was waiting in the tunnel to get some revenge. He came in, and we had two massive masseurs and they just dunked us on their shoulders. “It was like a cartoon when your feet are dangling off the ground and we were trying to get at each other. We are sat in the changing room and they were in the middle of us. “I was thinking how I could get to him. Then we heard the final whistle. “Boumsong came in and said, ‘If you want to fight, fight now.’ I was wanting to fight and get the revenge. “Then Souness came in and said, ‘If you want to fight I’ll beat both of you.’ Al came in and I never saw him lose it like that – he went mad and called us selfish and a disgrace. He knew we’d have a three-match suspension and miss the FA Cup semi-final that was coming up.” Dyer has since patched things up with Bowyer. He said: “I still see him now, we are friends. That’s just the way Lee was. But I still want to beat him up.”
  11. Adam Armstrong is the leader of Newcastle United's new wave of talent Armstrong was nothing short of terrific at Selhurst Park – a teenager whose performance belied his tender years and justified the high hopes that those at St James’ Park and the FA’s Wembley headquarters have for him. It prompted the manager to make a remarkable admission afterwards – with the manager claiming he might just be the most natural finisher at the club. Pardew said: “I think he’s kind of a player that can play in two roles. He can play at the top of the pitch and he can build the play because his touch is fantastic. “If we were in a situation where we’re one-on-one (with the goalkeeper) and it was anyone at the football club, I’d like it to be him. That’s how confident I am in his finishing. He’s now got to get that game mentality. He will have learned a lot on Wednesday.” It was a night when he surely stepped up his chances of muscling into the Premier League squad in the coming weeks. “For the first five minutes I’d give him zero out of ten because he was a bit nervous,” Alan Pardew said afterwards. “Then he did one little big of magic that gave him the confidence and he was terrific after that. “He almost scored an unbelievable goal, which he’s capable of. He’s going to be, we hope, a great talent for the club. He loves the football team and that shows. He gave everything and he could hardly move at the end.” http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/adam-armstrong-leader-newcastle-uniteds-7833591?

  14. Attempts to stage a mass protest against Newcastle United’s management ended in a damp squib as many Toon supporters were left unmoved. Campaigners from the SackPardew.com website printed 100 banners and 30,000 leaflets and distributed them outside St James’ Park before the game against Hull. But come the fifth minute of the match, when people were meant to raise the signs and call for the dismissal of Alan Pardew, few could be seen amid the Toon crowd. Fellow fans group leader Steve Wraith took to Twitter to criticise the protest. “The banners were not big enough and with three stewards on every turnstile searching bags it was no different to all other failed protests,” he tweeted. Stewards in the ground quickly moved to try and remove those banners which were raised, while club owner Mike Ashley was pictured smiling in the directors box as fans chanted for him to sell the club. It was all an ignominious end for a campaign that had seen so much optimism among fans earlier in the day. “It’s time for change,” said Tom Kelly, 57, from South Shields. “At any other club Pardew would be long gone. “I was at Southampton last week and the away fans were mainly in favour of getting rid of him - though maybe people at home games are too scared to do anything in case they are accused of not being supportive of the team. “But the team is good - and you can support it without being supportive of its manager. We need someone in who can get the players playing entertaining, attacking football.” One disgruntled Toon fan handing out leaflets outside The Junction pub at Haymarket, who did not wish to be named, said he had got up at 4.15am and driven up from London to support the protest. “I was a season ticket holder but after the Sunderland game last season I said never again go to another match while Pardew was in charge, but when I saw this campaign I thought I’ve got to come up. “What really got me about it was that all the stuff they are saying on their website is the same as I’ve been thinking and saying. “A few people took issue with it as I stood handing out leaflets, saying you can’t change things by sacking the manager, but he’s not doing well enough. “Even when we finished fifth in the league we were getting by on luck and magic from one or two players and we scraped wins.” None of the people handing out the leaflets and banners that we spoke to were willing to give their names, in many cases citing the anonymity of the campaign as one of the reasons they were attracted to it. “In the past we’ve had 60th minute walkouts, and 69th minute walkouts and demonstrations outside the ground, but they’re all by all different groups and they squabble and can’t agree and it all seems to be about the individuals or the groups making a name for themselves,” said another of the protestors. “But this isn’t. It’s one clear message and it doesn’t matter who you are, if you want to get behind it you can - and if you don’t then that is fine too.” http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/news/fans-protest-against-alan-pardew-7805163?
