  1. Williamson about to cross in to their half?! Is that not akin to crossing the beams in ghostbusters?
  2. A corner where the ball wasn't played to the back post? Isn't that against the rules?
  3. that's right lads....make them work for it....pah, nufc charity in full effect.
  4. At least the hobbit's wont start hoofing stuff to each other when the going gets tough. The footie has won over the film. Just know I'm gonna regret it! Just know our pussy of a manager will go for containment and it will backfire horribly by half-time. HBA will make an appearance around the 70min mark with everyone's expectations on his shoulders to rescue the match single handedly (which he won't do giving Pards an excuse to keep him on the bench for the next month). There will be "tiredness" and a trivial decision that should have went our way but will have "turned the game". Can tell I'm looking forward to this eh?
  5. Debating whether to stay in and watch it or go see the hobbit film.
  6. Hard one to say how I feel about this. Appreciate the effort he put in fizzy-pop league to get us back up first time and used to love seeing him combine with Enrique bombing forward but found him disappointing for the most part. Maybe that's because I had such high hopes/expectations from him (a bit like I do with HBA just now) He's a player I like a lot more than I feel I should for some reason. Nowhere near enough of an end product for a winger. Would like to say thanks for the memories but if I'm being honest I can count them on one hand. Never a 'problem' player though. Wish him all the best for the future. Now Mr Ashley, any chance of a buying a good old fashioned proper winger?
  7. Conference might be a bit much but I was thinking about this the other day and broadly I think I agree with you. Teams into the Premier League tend to fall into one of three categories: 1. Trying to win the league. 2. Trying to qualify for Europe and/or better the club year on year. 3. Trying to stay up as an achievement in itself (ie promoted clubs and the real minnows). We're none of them, we're content to merely exist. We're not alone in this, but it brings into question what exactly the point is. Sure, we continue to feast at the top table but to what end? Where's the hope meant to be, the chance of success (in terms of the categories above), the target of glory? This is why the cups absolutely should be a priority; specifically when we're already safe from relegation. f***ing arseholes. Top Post!!
  8. I know it's head in the clouds kinda thinking but would be nice if the club told us which games they're gonna be bothered to try in therefore the paying punter can make an informed decision about whether to spend their hard end money on a ticket.
  9. For all his billy big balls act Pardew must wake up crying at night at the thought of losing Cabaye. He's vital to Pardew's tactical plan (notice I didn't use an 's' to indicate plural there kids!) and I would dare suggest pardews tactical plan = cabaye.
  10. Got out my sick bed for 250 mile round trip to watch that steaming pile of s*** yesterday. Was delighted to hear the stadium announcer reading the teams out as I walked in to the gallowgate.... benny was playing joy....which was quickly replaced by puzzlement at our impotent start and then spent the first 20-25 mins trying to work out what our formation was. I'm still working on it! We were atrocious from the first minute....don't buy Pardew's bollocks about us being in control until they equalized. Movement was god-awful across the park. Was looking forward to seeing Santon playing at right back (being a right-footer and all) but he seemed to be scared to go beyond Sissoko and hit the line. Thought Benny would have been uleashed to have a free role but it looked like they all heard that instruction. Only surprise was it took till the 90th minute to see Elliot up the pitch we were so all over the place. Everytime Benny got the ball the rest of the team became one of the fans in the stand and just stood to watch and see what he would do without trying to move or give him an option. Though feck knows where he disappeared to in the second half like. I'd say Tiote was the best off a rank f***ing bunch yesterday. Can some explain to me what Sissoko actually does? Not one for conspiracy theories but the way we played and our tatics yesterday does lend itself to the belief that the club just could give a f*** about the FA Cup. £20 maybe considered a 'reduced' price in these times but I for one won't be attending another cup game under this regime. Just got a horrible feeling like I've been mugged for my money.
