Owen is undoubtably the better player, but Martins is younger - at least he's supposed to be - and he'll be on much less per week.
We'd be able to pay the wages of a few decent players if we got shot of Owen, but I don't think the clubs who'd be able to afford his wages are that keen to sign him, whatever the papers might say.
They didn't want to touch him when he left Real, so why now when he's older and his knee has been knacked?
We're more likely to shift Martins in the summer.
