Emre is one of our best players this season and shouldn't even be close to not playing.
-
From the evidence I've seen, he'll fart about in MU reserves, get the odd ten minutes and be peddled withing three years. The next David Bellion tbh. Legend, never thought I'd see the day Sunderland managed to screw Man Utd out of £3M for a shit player, whose only asset was he had pace. Although he did score the winner in one of our 4 wins in our 19 points season, so fair play to the lad. On Rossi, I was impressed with him when we played Man Utd at the SoL last season and he scored (deflected effort though). Though he looked a tricky little player with an intelligent football mind, and that was just from about 15 minutes. Man Utd seem to think he's one for the future as well, but at 19 Man Utd forked £30M (?) for Wayne Rooney! I thought the lad would have been given more time during his loan spell as Ameobi has been injured virtually all season hasn't he? as has Owen. And with only Sibierski and Martins ahead of him I would have though rotation would have been a good option to keep them all fit. But Glenn knows best. Totally off topic - but that sentence has cheered me up no end. F***ing magic. Here to help :winking: Any more memories you care to share with us concerning your 15 point season? Well over an aggregate score from both first halves against Newcastle, Sunderland won 3-2 I have to have something to amuse myself with. We beat Middlesbrough 2-0, and while getting relegated held Man Utd to a 0-0 draw at Old Trafford (similar to the 0-0 against Liverpool in the 19 point season where Liverpool had around 27 shots compared to our one (a long punt forward from Macho that reached the keeper!)) We beat Fulham in our final home game of the season. Our only home win of the season apart from the 1-0 aet and 3-0 demolitions of Cheltenham and Northwich Victoria respectively. Although we did go out of the FA Cup to League 1 Brentford 2-1 away from home in the 4th Rd. We went out of the league cup 3-0 to Arsenal infront of a sell out crowd due to cheap tickets. We were unbeaten against WBA in our two meetings over the season, 1-1 and 1-0. A class season tbh. Oh and Danny Collins scored more goals than Michael Owen in the second half of last season (1 away to Aston Villa). actually, laughing with you and not at you...well a bit at you, tbh

Sorry fellas, I aint been on here a lot over the festive period unlike you lot Not a real fan tbh

You thought this argument was so significant you started your own thread about it - and yet it it is hopelessly flawed! 1) Obviously you studied hyperbole at school today - 38 is very different from 50! Point your browser at Mr Google and see what the likes of Shilton, Seaman, Yashin and Zoff did at that age... 2) Hasn't played at the top level for more than a decade, eh? So using that argument, the last two seasons in Toon, two at Sheffield Wednesday, first two (of three) at Brescia - all but his last year at NUFC as first choice don't count for anything? 3) Young talent Krul is expected to come back from surgery straight into the first team, is he? Hell, why not just expect Shay or Harper to make miraculous recoveries while you are at it? 4) If no other clubs put themselves in such a position, then why did Ferguson pay money for a 37 year old Andy Goram? I'm not saying Pav is a top keeper anymore - nor am I saying I would name him in the team except in desperate circumstances, but the fact is that he was fourth choice for Christ's sake! That means when the three better keepers are unavailable, then Pav steps in. Can you even name the fourth choice keeper of any other club? Yes, claims of cronyism and "jobs for the boys" can be levelled at the club from time to time, and certainly Pav might be one of those instances, but as has been stated before - look at Chelsea's third choice keeper, and then imagine who might be behind him! Methinks some perspective wouldn't go astray... Magnus Hedman. I'd rather have Pav, tbh
-
Who exactly thinks he is good enough for us? I've not seen anyone who thinks that. However, he's doing his best right now whilst we have no other option but to play him. Many have been saying that he is good enough at CB. And Kiwi, I haven't even seen the game and I'm not basing my opinions on this game. I basing them from the fact that he has never controlled a ball ever.
-
You can knee-jerks on us how much you want, but fact is, Ramage is not good enough for us. He completely lack skill, to a greater degree than any other player I've ever seen. Sure. he is a CB and doesn't depend on skill, but you can still demand that a player in the PL has some technique.
-
The only consistancy in milners game is that he keeps loosing the ball. Where as Duff has been simply AMAZING!!! Duff is a far better player than Milner and I trust him to have a better game than Milner. Duff has been better than Milner this season, it's just that all expectations of Duff were extremely high and he hasn't met them. I don't know what it is about Milner that everyone rate, with the exception of his work-rate. If Duff gets to play, I'm well sure that he'll some time soon will have a great game and everyone here will suddenly change their minds and say that you've always said he needed time to settle

14 starts and 1 sub appearance in the league scoring 7 goals. Hard to find fault with that tbh nothing short of incredible, tbh
-
yep!
-
Who would've thought that Pav would be this years Shearer?
-
Agreed. But Ramage made as many mistakes that cost us dearly as Bramble, . Trust me,no one is near that recored.. Making great use of that quote-function
-
meaning ?? You must have watched a different Craig Bellamy to me. Because for my money - home and away - he was the most hungry and dynamic player at the club during the years he was here until Souness arrived, even when he played 50 games with an injury between Easter 2002 and the summer of 2004. Only Gary Speed ran him close for consistency. If this is typical of what I say, it is because I call it as I see it and don't spout cliches like many other people. Nor was I foolishly taken in like many others that the Scottish fuckpig would somehow become Alex Ferguson simply by getting rid of "the bad apples". You should try it. That's where everyone should stop reading.
-
aye me too. Anyone know if he has said anything?
-
Martins is a better footballer than Bellamy, better technique and a better football brain. Also he's a better finisher but Obagoal is not quite a master predatory finisher just yet. Oba isn't a cunt either.
-
What a back four we're playing! Taylor, Ramage, Huntington - local lads from the academy Solano - Adopted Geordie. The back 4 with the most commitment to the team in the premiership for sure
-
Would give my right arm for him in the team tbh! Exactly, what a f***ing fantastic player he is. I hate it when that happens, players you hate turning out to be brilliant. I watched Ronaldo take us apart yesterday in the second half. Hate the gobby c*** myself, but he was absolutely from a different planet yesterday. Drogba's like that, too. Agree. That's what I love about Martins, I can't for my life seeing him becoming an arrogant twat, no matter how good he gets.
-
Owen?
-
My stance or Roeder is still the same: He can make us into a solid top 8 club with stability. He is welcome to stay for a couple of years and be the first bricks of a new NUFC.
-
Depends on if we win or not
-
How old is Tim? 18? Born in 1988?
-
He'll get 15+ goals this season (all competitions) which is perhaps not shit loads of goals, but it's still a lot of goals for a new, young striker. I expect 20+ in the Premiership next season if he stays injury-free.
-
Can't say I remember his first spell at the club too well, but from I hear, he's an absolute legend! Happy for him that he got his 150th appearance yesterday
-
I think Martins is a great young lad. Can't imagine for my life that he'd be in any the headlines for anything except for football. He'll be a legend, and he'll love the toon.

How come, if we have such great cover for his position, we have had to use a CM to play out of position to cover for him? Dyer up front, Milner on the right, Nobby at right back. Yes? Because they've been needed there, haven't they? Signing Duff was NOT a bad move from Roeder. Sure, you can say that he should play because he's been shite, but to say that it was a bad signing because we had enough cover is just not true.
