How is that not a booking for Trossard?
-
How about a booking for Saka for that dive? No?

One of the best responses on here in a while

Well chuffed with that win

The Real Madrid/Brazil breakdown is fantastic though

He's a decent 1 in 3/4 striker, his recent record is a bit like Almirons purple patch a couple of years ago. Fair play to him, seems a great bloke, but please stop scoring now mate.

Starts at home against Chelsea, I reckon

The argument is more that International Football should be about country vs country and that includes the manager though, it's got nothing to do with arrogance. From what I gather, the likes of Wullie would rather keep not winning owt than World Cups being ruined by players and managers not coming from their supposed countries.

Agree with pretty much all of that Tbf. But even Sweden had Danish manager at the moment, and I don't see a lot of people having any problems with that. When it comes to England, I posted my opinion on it previously. Think we should do our best to have an English manager, but if the option ends up being Steve Bruce or Thomas Tuchel, it's hard to argue the FA didn't make the right choice.
-
So how far do you take it? Is anyone at the FA allowed to be non-English? Shouldn't Lee Carlsley have been a big no-no seeing as he is 'Irish' according to who he played for? Fwiw, I don't particularly care about this debate tbh, I see where you are coming from and kind of agree with you.
-
As someone mentioned before, that means no physios, no stats analysis, no chefs, no kit manufacturer etc is allowed to be non English? And if the same rules apply for every country, how does the even the likes of Sweden or Ireland compete? Not to mention the countries that are much smaller than them
-
Shame that. While not as impressive as Lewis, I'm sure he could carve out a decent career for himself if he stays fit.

I do think England (and most biggish footballing countries) should do their absolute best to hire and English manager. If there's not an obvious answer available, then of course we have to look at the forrins. Obviously I've no idea what Potter might have said to them, if he was even in consideration, but he would have my preferred option. As soon as you move on from him and Howe, who I don't think would've been interested, we pretty much had to hire a foreign manager as the drop off after them two is massive. Now, do I care, or think that anyone should care, that Tuchel is German? Absolutely not, stop being ridiculous. I also think that he is probably the best or biggest manager available that would have taken the job, so fair play to the FA for landing him. However, I don't particularly rate him that highly, in that I don't consider him to be quite the elite manager that I think the FA feels like they've got. I hope with him probably not looking to stay on forever (like most English managers might have hoped), that he'll be a bit more interesting in his selections and just go for it rather than playing it safe, which also suits his managerial style from what I've seen.

Did we send his older brother out on loan? He looked pretty decent at pre season IMO
-
What position has he been playing for Italy?

Getting a bit sick of Brazil seemingly always playing their last game the night towards Wednesday European time, would have been nice to get Bruno back a day or two sooner.

They said before it was going to start this year the daft twats
-
Gomes looks comically small next to Rice in midfield
-
England kit is shite, what even is that colour
-
Good save in the first half mind

I have no idea how Watkins didn't start tonight like He must have been gutted, finally gets his chance with Kane out, but no he'd rather go with a completely out of form Foden in some weird as fuck system.

Klopp to Red Bull as their 'global head of football'. Thought he was all about the integrity of the sport, can't be going to Red Bull if you care that much can you?
